The present disclosure is directed to an apparatus that flexibly couples a ramp to a boat dock and to methods for constructing this apparatus. These methods may also include steps directed to selecting material strengths or sizes when designing an assembly that attaches the ramp to the boat dock. By allowing relative up-down motion between a boat dock and a ramp using materials with particular characteristics, apparatus built in a manner consistent with the present disclosure are much stronger than conventional apparatus that connect a ramp to a boat dock. Apparatus consistent with the present disclosure prevent property damage, personal injury, and death that are commonly associated with conventional boat ramps and docks. Apparatus of the present disclosure increase the safety of boat docks and increase the robustness of connection points where a ramp meets a boat dock.

WATERCRAFT LIFT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20220388613 · 2022-12-08 · ·

A watercraft lift system including one or more laterally-adjustable or rotating components and related methods are disclosed. The watercraft lift system can include a cradle assembly and optionally at least one side guide, which can (but need not) be connected to the cradle assembly. The cradle assembly can include first and second cradle rails. One or both of the first cradle rail and the at least one side guide can be movable between a wider watercraft-receiving position and a narrower watercraft-received position. In an example, movement of the first cradle rail and/or the at least one side guide from the watercraft-receiving position to the watercraft-received position occurs automatically upon entry of a watercraft into the confines of the watercraft lift system. The watercraft lift system can further comprise an actuator to cause lateral or rotational movement, for example, of the first cradle rail and/or the at least one side guide. In an example, the actuator can be operably connected to the first cradle rail and/or the at least one side guide via one or more cables or extension plate members.

Escape system

An escape system comprises a passage (1), a platform (3) and at least one craft (4), the platform (3) and the craft (4) being deployable from a structure (2) to water to facilitate evacuation of the structure via the passage. The passage is mounted to the platform such that the platform is urged towards the structure when deployed. The passage may be mounted to the platform such that movement of the passage relative to the platform is restricted in at least one direction. A plate (64) may support the passage, platform and/or craft during deployment, and/or stabilises the passage, platform and/or craft after deployment in the water.

Pick-up device and pick-up method for a watercraft

Apparatus and methods for recovering watercraft. A ramp is movable relative to a stationary carrying apparatus between a recovering position and a parked position. The ramp includes a frame and a deformable body, which is fastened to the frame. When the ramp is in the recovering position, the deformable body points toward the watercraft to be recovered and is located at least partially above the water surface. The watercraft travels onto the ramp and deforms the deformable body from above. The watercraft is pulled out of the water and moved onto the carrying apparatus.

Ramp Assembly Systems and Methods of Use
20170283010 · 2017-10-05 ·

Ramp assembly systems and methods of use are described. According to one aspect, a vessel ramp assembly system includes a ramp assembly configured to assist with ingress and egress of an individual with respect to the vessel, a deployment system configured to move the ramp assembly between a stowed position with respect to the vessel and a deployed position with respect to the vessel, and a positioning system configured to move the ramp assembly to move a first end of the ramp assembly with respect to a deck of the vessel and provide a second end of the ramp assembly at an appropriate position where the individual may use the ramp assembly for the ingress and egress with respect to the vessel.

FOLDABLE BOAT RAMP
20170327191 · 2017-11-16 ·

A boat ramp designed to collapse so the amphibious vehicle may be towed at highway speeds. The ramp fabricated of a central isosceles triangle hinged to the vehicle at its base flanks a pair of right triangles hinged along their hypotenuses such that the ramp can be folded over the vehicle during travel. The hinged portion is reinforced with removable steel channel during use.

VESSEL WITH UNITARY BOW DOOR AND MULTI-FOLD RAMP
20170320550 · 2017-11-09 ·

A powered water vessel includes a unitary section of the bow that is pivotably rotatable about a horizontal axis thereby permitting a closed-bow configuration and an opened-bow configuration. The closed-bow configuration is generally amenable to regular boat operations, while the opened-bow configuration is generally amenable to loading and unloading passengers, vehicles and/or cargo. A folding ramp assembly is extendable through the open-bowed configuration for loading and unloading, with track extensions providing additional extension distance.

BLU water lift systems
09758223 · 2017-09-12 ·

A blu water lift system for personal watercraft docking systems to raise and lower a personal watercraft into water and retain the personal watercraft for transport. The blu water lift system may be removably attached to boat and a remote activator can be used to manipulate a watercraft between an in-transport condition and a non-transport condition. The blu water lift system may include a carriage structure with a hull-resting plate, at least one carriage rail and at least one pivot mounting arm with at least one bracket assembly, attachment means, and electrically-operated actuator. The blu water lift assembly may be used to removably attach a frame and a carriage structure to a watercraft, operating the at least one pivot mounting arm and operating a loading ramp. Blu water lift systems may be made of corrosion-resistant materials to promote longevity in water-environments.

MARINE VESSEL WITH REPOSITIONABLE ONBOARD INDUCTIVE CHARGE SYSTEM FOR RECHARGING AN ONBOARD RECHARGEABLE ENERGY SOURCE WHEN SERVICING OFFSHORE WIND TURBINES
20220239151 · 2022-07-28 · ·

A marine vessel may include a propulsion system and a rechargeable energy storage system inclusive of at least one rechargeable energy source configured to supply power to the propulsion system. The marine vessel may further include a vessel-side inductive charge component in electrical communication with the rechargeable energy storage system, and be configured to inductively couple with a platform-side inductive charge component positioned at a marine-based platform. The platform-side inductive charge component may be electrically coupled to a power generator that generates electrical power. A moveable structure (e.g., gangplank or crane) may be coupled to the marine vessel on which the vessel-side inductive charge component is positioned to enable the moveable structure to be moveably positioned to wirelessly (e.g., inductively) couple the vessel-side inductive charge component with the platform-side charge component that is positioned at the marine-based platform, thereby causing the rechargeable energy storage device to be recharged.
