Marine-Life Safe and Self Propelled Navigational Buoy
A navigational buoy that includes a finned, hollow, transparent, spherical shell that floats on water. A multi-wheeled motor-unit sits inside the shell, and ballast weights attached to the motor unit cause it to rest on the bottom of the shell. A biasing structure attached to the motor unit, lights, and other aspects are included in some embodiments.
Lightscape display system
A display system for use in a pool or a small body of water. The display system including an anchor, a floating platform tethered to the anchor, and at least one display element. The floating platform is generally flat. The generally flat floating platform provides buoyancy. The display element protruding up from the floating platform.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROACTIVE AND REVERSIBLE MITIGATION OF STORM/HURRICANE/TYPHOON/CYCLONE
A water surface system for mitigation of tropical storms or hurricanes/typhoons/cyclones, the water surface system comprising one or more floating objects capable of minimizing water temperature increase due to sun irradiation and water evaporation and one or more boom-like structures capable of containing the floating objects in a designated area. For effective mitigation, the designated areas are the origins and paths historically most often occurred of storms/hurricanes/typhoons/cyclones.
Vessel mounted multi-directional signal assembly
A vessel mounted multi-directional signal assembly includes a multi-directional signal display assembly comprising a plurality of signal display panels. Each of the plurality of signal display panels comprising at least one display surface, and a plurality of signal indicia are affixed onto different ones of each of the plurality of display surfaces. A signal support assembly is provided such that the multi-directional signal display assembly is disposable into a deployed orientation about the signal support member. A vessel mount assembly is operatively interconnected to the signal support assembly and comprises a mount member to facilitate deployment of the multi-directional signal display assembly on the vessel.
Systems and methods of providing visual guidance to assist in positioning a boat and trailer in low light conditions
Embodiments described herein include a visual guidance system for a boat trailer that can include a housing defining a cavity, the housing having a plurality of openings such that fluid can pass into the cavity, a first track and a second track, where the first track and the second track have a substantially vertical orientation, and a laser head mounted on the first track and the second track that can include a housing, a laser module positioned within the housing that is configured to provide a first illumination beam, and a float.
Multi-directional signal assembly
A multi-directional signal assembly includes a signal display assembly having one or more display surface, and at least one signal indicia affixed to each display surface. The multi-directional display assembly comprises a buoyant construction such that the signal indicia affixed to the display surface(s) are readily visible above the surface of a body of water in which the assembly is deployed. A counterweight assembly is mounted to the signal display assembly to maintain the signal display assembly in a substantially upright, operative orientation when deployed. An illumination assembly comprising one or more illumination member is mounted to the signal display assembly, and is actuated to increase visibility of the signal display assembly while it is deployed on the surface of a body of water.
Light-signaling device for navigation and a system comprising multiple light-signaling devices for navigation
A navigation aid light-signaling device includes a main body inserted in an upper extremity of a dolphin. The light-signaling device includes: fasteners for the attachment of said light-signaling device to the upper extremity of a small dolphin; at least one light source generating a directional and fixed light beam, said light beam being directed toward a second light-signaling device located at a given distance from the light-signaling device on a second dolphin, and a power supply supplying said light-signaling device.
Sensor and telemetry unit (STU) adapted for securable coupling to a floating object or buoyant aid to navigation (AtoN) to operate as a selectively deployable ocean data acquisition system (ODAS)
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a self-contained ocean data and acquisition module (SCODAM) configured to mount to a floating body and having a sensor array, geospatial locating engine, wave measurement engine, communication engine to transmit collected data to a remote device, an energy conversion module adapted to convert ambient energy inputs into electrical energy, and an energy storage module configured to receive the converted electrical energy and to supply operating power to the SCODAM. In an illustrative example, the SCODAM may be configured to generate a transfer function based on motion characterization data obtained in a training mode corresponding to motion of the floating body in response to perturbation in a predetermined sequence and to apply the transfer function data obtained by the wave measurement engine to determine wave motion. Various embodiments may advantageously facilitate use of an existing floating body as an ocean data acquisition system (ODAS).
DIVE COMPUTER INTEGRATED NAVIGATION SYSTEM
An underwater navigation system that includes a buoy configured to be anchored underwater or to be hung underwater from a boat. The buoy is configured to transmit a signal. A dive computer is configured to be carried by a diver, and also configured to receive the signal. The dive computer is further configured to display a distance and direction to the buoy based on the received signal.
WATERWAY MARKER DEVICE AND RELATED ARRANGEMENT
A floating waterway marker device in the form of a buoy or a waterway navigation mark is provided. The device includes a body and an at least one light source, wherein in the body a number of periodically spaced recesses are circumferentially arranged to a predetermined depth. The waterway marker device further includes a number of optical fibers extending from the at least one light source to each of the recesses and configured to convey light emitted by the at least one light source such that exiting light is directed to an ambient around the periphery of the waterway marker device.
