WATER CRAFT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A WATER CRAFT
20230192236 · 2023-06-22 ·

Water craft comprising a hull, with an opening and a lowerable segment arranged in said opening. The lowerable segment is coupled to the hull via a lifting mechanism for lowering or raising the lowerable segment with respect to the hull between a first position in which an outer surface of a bottom wall of the segment is substantially flush with the outer surface of a bottom of the hull adjacent to the segment, and a second position wherein the segment is arranged below the water line of the hull. The lowerable segment comprises a lower watertight compartment and an upper compartment that can at least partially be filled with water when the segment is lowered and can be drained when the segment is raised. When in the first position, a wall between the lower and upper compartment is arranged at a level at or near the water line.

Arrangement and method for underwater activities

An arrangement (100) for underwater activities includes a reservoir (101), which reservoir includes a wall (102) securing a space inside the reservoir (101) to be filled at least partially with water (103). The arrangement has also an opening (104a, 104b) for entering the reservoir, and a container (105) to be filled at least partially with water (103). The container receives the reservoir (101) so that the lower portion of the reservoir including at least one opening (104a) is located under the water surface level (103). The lower portion of the reservoir when introduced with the container is securing together with the container's (105) wall an upper portion (107) of the container, which upper portion (107) supports via the opening (104a) the pressure difference between the upper portion (107) of the container (105) and the space inside the reservoir (101), when water (103) is introduced into the space inside the reservoir.

A self-propelled waterborne wave riding system includes a vessel having at least one motor and control system for navigating and propelling the vessel along a body of water. A rider section is located along the top of the vessel and includes a lower platform at the front of the vessel, an upper platform at the back of the vessel, and an elongated angled ride surface that extends between the upper and lower platforms. A pump system is provided along the vessel and includes an impeller assembly that is mechanically coupled to an inboard motor and a water pipe. Water received by the impeller is directed through the water pipe to a horizontally oriented nozzle in the lower platform which pushes the water over the ride surface. Openings in the upper platform return the used water into the body of water.

A water vessel includes a deck having an upper surface and a lower surface. First and second hulls are spaced-apart from one another and operably coupled to the lower surface of the deck. At least one of the first and second hulls has an at least partially hollow interior. A storage tank is positioned within the at least partially hollow interior of at least one of the first and second hulls. A tub for holding water is supported by the deck. The tub includes an interior cavity having a capacity and is fluidically coupled to the storage tank. The storage tank has a capacity less than the capacity of the tub. A pump system is configured to direct water between the tub and the storage tank and at least partially fill the capacity of the tub.
