CONFIGURABLE WATER ACTIVITY BOARD
Embodiments of water activity board 10 that may be configured with several components 210A-H to form a WABS 200, where the components 210A-H may be securely and removably coupled to the board 10 via one or more rail modules 100A-I. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
WAKE CONTROL FIN SYSTEM AND UNDERWATER EXHAUST SYSTEM
A wake control system aft of the driveshaft, propeller, and rudder of a vessel includes a fin base and at least one fin slidingly engaged with the fin base. The fin(s) are vertically oriented and extend down into the water surface. The fins are transversely adjustable along the fin base to redirect a wake generated by the boat. In other embodiments, the control system comprises a starboard fin tab adjacent to a port fin tab, each of the independent fin tabs hingeably attached to the aft section of the hull, at the transom. Each fin tab includes at least one extending fin. Fin tabs are selectively deployable and retractable into and out of the water surface to redirect a wake generated by the vessel from one side to the other. A novel underwater exhaust system redirects exhaust depending on speed of the vessel and complements the wake control system.
Water flow deflection device and methods of use
A water flow deflection device configured to be attached to a side of a boat for boat wake enhancement is disclosed. The water flow deflection device includes a frame which includes a base, an extension arm, and two or more suction cups for attaching the water flow deflection device to the side of the boat. The water flow deflection device also includes a water flow deflector attached to the frame and includes an enlarged surface area aligned away from the extension arm and configured to deflect water. The deflector having two sections that are movable relative to each other such that the surface area is adjustable. The water flow deflection device also includes an adjustable support that extends between and connects the deflector to the extension, the support configured to adjust an angle of the deflector relative to the side of the boat.
Wake-modifying device for a boat
A recreational sport boat includes a hull having starboard and port sides and a transom, a generally horizontal platform, and a pair of wake-modifying devices positioned aft of the transom. The generally horizontal platform extends aft of the transom and is configured to support a human weighing at least 100 lbs. on an upper surface thereof. The pair of wake-modifying devices are attached to the platform. One of the wake-modifying devices is positioned on a port side of the platform's centerline, and another of the wake-modifying devices is positioned on a starboard side of the platform's centerline. Each wake-modifying device is moveable between a non-deployed position and a deployed position in which the wake-modifying device is angled downwardly at an angle relative to the top surface of the generally horizontal platform.
Exhaust trim tab for a boat
A moveable exhaust trim tab for a motorized boat directs exhaust gas and cooling liquid into the water, changing the size and shape of the wake and reducing engine noise. The device comprises a trim tab base having a lip and a cap attached to the trim tab base to form a cavity between the lip and the cap into which the boat's exhaust is directed. The cavity has various apertures that permit the exhaust to exit the cavity and, in some embodiments, permit water to enter the cavity from below. The device may comprise baffles, outlets, inlets, and directional collars to change the flow of the exhaust. The trim tab is attached to the boat with an actuator that lets the trim tab to be adjusted at an angle relative to the boat.
Wake shaping system for a boat
A boat comprising a wake shaping system comprising starboard and port wake shaping devices located aft of the transom. Each wake shaping device is operable to move between a first, non-deployed position behind the transom and a second, deployed position extending outside the side of the hull or below the transom. When the starboard wake shaping device is in the deployed position, a port wakesurf wake is created. When the port of the wake shaping device is in the deployed position, a starboard wakesurf wake is created. When neither wake shaping device is deployed, a symmetrical wakeboard wake is created.
Container apparatus for holding sportsman accessories
A container apparatus for removable attachment is disclosed. The container includes a reception portion having a base and one or more dividing walls configured to separate items within the reception portion, and one or more brackets longitudinally adjustable along the holder, the brackets comprising hooks for selectively clasping ends of the elongated sides. The reception portion comprises integrally formed elongated sides extending from the base and end sides extending between the elongated sides to form an open container. The apparatus is configured to receive items therein allowing efficient exchange of sportsman items when coupled to a tree, tree stand or interior of a boat.
Surfboard with Removable Wheels
A wheeled system for engagement with a surfboard is provided. Wheeled trucks are configured for removable engagement with a lower surface of a surfboard using mounting plates or recessed connections. The removable engagement of the trucks allow a rider to ride on support surfaces such as the sidewalk, and to remove the trucks to employ the surfboard in the water. The removable trucks may be retrofitted to existing surfboards with an elastic or mechanical engagement, or may be provided in combination with a surfboard.
Watersport signaling devices, systems, and methods
An alerting device can be attached to one or more tow lines for towing a watersport participant via a watercraft. In some instances, the alerting device can be spaced from the watersport participant and the watercraft during use. The alerting device can be deployed automatically, such as when tension in the one or more tow lines is reduced due to the participant being downed in the water so as to no longer be towed.
Oxygen tank flotation device
The oxygen tank flotation device is a floating structure adapted for use in recreational water activities. The oxygen tank flotation device is adapted for use with respiratory equipment that is required for use during recreational water activities. The oxygen tank flotation device receives and stores respiratory equipment, such as an oxygen tank, in such a manner that the respiratory equipment will float when the oxygen tank flotation device is placed in a body of water. This arrangement allows the respiratory equipment to float near the user when the user is involved in recreational water activities. The oxygen tank flotation device comprises a vessel, a first float, and a second float.
