Diving mask having a body provided with an exhaled air exhaust device including a check valve
11225308 · 2022-01-18 ·

The disclosure relates to a diving mask comprising a body having a faceplate and a flexible skirt, and a snorkel extending a top portion of the body. The body includes an exhaled air exhaust device that puts the bottom chamber in fluid-flow connection with the air duct of the snorkel. The exhaled air exhaust includes at least a first check valve arranged to allow exhaled air from the bottom chamber to flow towards the air duct of the snorkel during a stage in which the user is breathing out, the first check valve being closed during a stage in which the user is breathing in.

BREATHABLE MASK, AND STRUCTURE OF ITS BODY

A breathable mask (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) has a body including a main frame (13, 23, 33, 43, 53), a lens (14, 24, 34, 44, 54) and a waterproof sealing skirt (15, 25, 35, 45, 55). The waterproof sealing skirt has a partition, which divides the interior of the body into an upper chamber (17, 27, 37, 47, 57) and a lower chamber (18, 28, 38, 48, 58). A bridge (151, 252, 351, 451, 551) is provided to further divide the lower chamber into a nasal chamber (181, 281, 381, 481, 581) and a mouth chamber (182, 282, 382, 482, 582) under the nasal chamber. When the user puts on the mask, his/her nose and mouth are accommodated in the nasal chamber and the mouth chamber, respectively. The nasal chamber and the mouth chamber are capable of being in fluid communication through the bridge.

BREATHABLE MASK

The present invention relates to a breathable mask having a body and a snorkel being in fluid communication with an interior of the body. The interior of the body is provided to divide the mask into an eye pocket and an orinasal pocket. The total inner volume of the eye pocket and the orinasal pocket is not more than 500 ml. In the circumstance a snorkeler wears the snorkeling mask, the total of the inner volume remaining in the eye pocket and the inner volume remaining in the orinasal pocket does not exceed 400 ml. By reducing the inner volume of the mask, the snorkeler can completely or nearly breath out all the dirty air under his/her normal tidal volume of every breath, forming a temporary vacuum in the mask, and allowing the external fresh air to be ready to enter the mask actively after the snorkeler takes a next inhalation, thereby the snorkeler can have an easy and safe breath.

A breathable mask includes a main frame, a transparent lens portion, a water-sealing skirt and a breathing tube. The main frame includes a lens frame, a mouth frame and a nose frame interposed therebetween. The water-sealing skirt is integrally formed by an eye skirt, a nose skirt and a mouth skirt, and a skirt frame is arranged in front of the eye skirt. The transparent lens portion and the skirt frame are embedded in the lens frame in a water-sealing manner, and the nose skirt protrudes outward from the nose frame. A purge valve is provided between the mouth skirt and the mouth frame. The mouth skirt is adapted for one-way fluid communication to the outside through the purge valve and the mouth frame.

Hydrodynamic sport snorkel
11267545 · 2022-03-08 ·

An improved hydrodynamic sports snorkel for use in swim training, exercise and other recreational activities, which facilitates efficient swimming by eliminating the need for a swimmer to turn their head to the side for breathing. The sport snorkel device provides a novel design that significantly reduces drag and resistance, including by directing breathing tubes down the sides of the chin and under the jaw line toward the neck, around the neck and rejoining and going to the surface at the back of the neck behind the swimmer's head. This novel design with tubes running under the jawline and behind the head significantly reduces the portion of snorkel tubing directly in the water flow stream and thus reduces drag and resistance. The sport snorkel device also allows the swimmer to hold the snorkel solely by the mouthpiece without the need to fixedly attach the device to the swimmer's head or goggles.

Snorkel and diving mask system

A diving mask system is disclosed comprising a faceplate having a lateral partition on an interior surface delineating an upper and lower section, the lower section comprising a region that extends away from the upper section and includes at least one cutout opening fitted with a complementary-shaped flexible insert that enables a user to grasp the nose. The faceplate further includes a snorkel coupling having a passageway contained therein and conduits connecting the passageways with a lower chamber. The faceplate further includes a flexible tubular insert defining a passageway extending through the faceplate to the lower chamber. The tubular insert has a distal end dimensioned to fit and seal onto the mouthpiece receiver tube of a conventional second stage scuba regulator. The mask may be interchangeably configured for both scuba and snorkeling environments.
