Location-based control of exhaust system for marine engines
A method of controlling an adjustable exhaust system for a marine engine includes receiving a vessel location of a marine vessel having an adjustable exhaust system and identifying a noise constraint based on the vessel location. A current exhaust mode of the adjustable exhaust system is identified. A determination is then made regarding whether the exhaust system is exceeding the noise constraint based on the current exhaust mode. If the noise constraint is exceeded, an instruction is generated to adjust the adjustable exhaust system to comply with the noise constraint.
OUTBOARD MOTOR
An outboard motor includes an outboard motor body, a mount mounted on a boat body, and a support member that supports the outboard motor body so as to be steerable with respect to the mount. The support member includes an upper support that surrounds a drive shaft and supports the outboard motor body, a lower support that is spaced below the upper support, surrounds the drive shaft, and supports the outboard motor body, and a coupler that couples the upper support to the lower support.

A device for capturing in-port ship exhaust gases is designed to be connected to a ship, when the ship has at least one funnel that serves as an outlet for exhaust gases. The device includes at least one collection device, including a hood designed to connect to the funnel at the exhaust outlet so as to collect the exhaust gases coming out of the funnel, a handling unit designed to move the collection device and position it at the exhaust outlet, a first constraint configured to interconnect or disconnect the collection device and the handling unit by command so as to create a handling configuration in which the collection device and the handling unit are interconnected by the first constraint and can be moved as one, and a collection configuration in which the collection device collects the exhaust gases and the connection achieved by the first constraint is released, and a second constraint configured to exert a magnetic attraction force, by command, intended to put the first constraint into the handling configuration.

A novel emissions control watercraft (STAXcraft) solving a long-felt but unsolved need regarding disadvantages associated with prior-art emissions servicing watercraft, the disadvantages selected from the group, but not limited to, the use of tugboats, securing or mooring servicing watercraft to a serviced vessel, additional expenses and time-delays and inefficiencies of land-based approaches, increased toxic emissions, increased greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions, danger from falling cargo, tanker safety, alongside mooring in narrow channels preventing other OGV's to pass safely, and cargo tank emissions.

FUEL CELL SHIP
An exemplary fuel cell ship is a fuel cell ship for propelling a hull by using electric power supplied from a fuel cell that generates electric power through an electrochemical reaction of fuel, and includes a tank compartment installed therein with a fuel tank that stores the fuel. The tank compartment is provided below a deck of the hull and provided separately from other compartments.
