PROPULSION CONTROL SELECTION AND SYNCHRONIZATION SYSTEM
A marine propulsion control system for use with a marine vessel, includes a port side engine in electronic communication with a port side engine controller and a starboard side engine in electronic communication with a starboard side engine controller. A control station includes a port lever configured to control a throttle of the port side engine, a starboard lever configured to control a throttle of the starboard side engine, and a user interface. A propulsion control processor is in electronic communication with the port side engine controller, the starboard side engine controller, and control station. In a synchronized operating mode, the propulsion control processor transmits a throttle instruction to the port side engine controller and the starboard side engine controller pursuant to a throttle position of a master lever corresponding to the first of the port lever and starboard lever to be actuated upon activation of the synchronized operating mode.
Directed thrust propulsion system
A directed thrust propulsion system has a central hub and at least three blades that extends outward at a rake angle between about 20 to 70 degrees. Each blade is shaped as a portion of a cylindrical surface, in which concave side forms the blade face and is facing in direction of thrust generated by rotating the hub. The convex side of the blades minimizes drag in the water that resists forward motion while the concave shape and tilted end portions directs the thrust inward toward the extension of the hub's principal axis rearward. The directed thrust propulsion system may be deployed on inboard and outboard motors for all manner of watercraft to increase efficiency above 10 knots speed.

MOTOR-INTEGRATED FLUID MACHINE AND VERTICAL TAKE-OFF AND LANDING AIRCRAFT
A motor-integrated fluid machine includes a rotating part that rotates around a rotation axis; an outer peripheral part provided at an outer periphery of the rotating part; and an outer peripheral drive motor that provides power from the outer peripheral part to rotate the rotating part. The rotating part includes a rotating support ring around the rotation axis, and blades provided on a center side of the ring and provided side by side in a circumferential direction of the rotation axis. The motor includes a rotor side magnet provided on an outer peripheral side of the ring in a radial direction, and a stator side magnet provided on an inner peripheral side of the outer peripheral part to face the magnet. The motor-integrated fluid machine includes a restraining part which covers and restrains the ring and the magnet from an outside to integrate the ring and the magnet
Marine propulsion control system and method
A marine propulsion system includes at least two parallel propulsion devices that each generate forward and reverse thrusts, wherein the parallel propulsion devices are oriented such that their thrusts are parallel to one another, and at least one drive position sensor configured to sense a drive angle of the parallel propulsion devices. A lateral thruster is configured to generate starboard and port thrust to propel the marine vessel. A user input device is operable by a user to provide at least a lateral thrust command to command lateral movement of the marine vessel and a rotational thrust command to command rotational movement of the marine vessel. A controller is configured to control the parallel propulsion devices and the lateral thruster based on the lateral steering input and/or the rotational steering input and the drive angle so as to provide the lateral movement and/or the rotational movement.
Marine propulsion unit and marine vessel
A marine propulsion unit of a marine vessel includes a casing provided above a duct to house a steering shaft and a controller configured or programmed to control driving of a propeller, the casing being rotatable by the steering shaft, a power supply wire to supply power to a stator, and a signal wire to transmit a drive signal to the controller. The power supply wire and the signal wire are located outside and along the casing so as to pass in front of the steering shaft along a rotation direction of the steering shaft from a first side to a second side of the casing, the first and second sides being opposite to each other with respect to a forward-rearward direction in a plan view thereof.
