MULTIFUNCTIONAL SHIP FOR COLLECTING AND RECYCLING OCEAN WASTE AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM THEREOF
A multifunctional ship for the collection and recycling of ocean debris and the system thereof may include a hull; a detection device provided on the hull to detect ocean debris floating on the sea or deposited on the seabed; a collection device installed on the hull to collect the ocean debris detected by the detection device; a sorting device installed on the hull to sort the ocean debris collected by the collection device; a compressing device installed on the hull to compress the sorted ocean debris to compress and remove moisture and reduce the volume; a waste plastic recycling device installed on the hull to produce recycled oil by thermally decomposing the waste plastic compressed in the compressing device; a storage tank installed at the bottom of the hull to store the recycled oil produced; and a purifier for purifying wastewater generated in the process of producing recycled oil.
METHODS AND DEVICES TO ASSURE SHIP ENVIRONMENT DISCHARGE COMPLIANCE
This disclosure relates to an environmental compliance system installed onboard a ship. The environmental compliance system includes a computing device that records and requests authorization for overboard discharge when discharge occurs within a defined geofence. The system receives data from the ship automation system including ship location and operational valve opening commands made to discharge effluent overboard and into the surrounding water. Before the operational valve opening command can be received by the valve, the compliance box confirms ship position and compares against programmed no-discharge geofence or a plurality of geofences. When the ship is inside a no-discharge geofence, the computing device may request a manual override authorization from the responsible duty holder before completing the command so as to prevent an accidental unintended discharge. Data is securely stored by the compliance box and may also be transmitted to external cloud-based data receivers.
System and method for off-shore and in-shore aquaculture using floating closed containment farming and amalgamated facility
An aquaculture production and/or transfer system is provided and comprises: at least one floating aquaculture production apparatus on a novel offshore advanced hull system of varying shapes for closed containment method and ecological friendly for sustainable floating farming system (which may be marketed under Eco-Ark™); a station keeping apparatus coupled to the aquaculture production apparatus; a custodian transfer apparatus having a custodian chamber, a chute and a pump, wherein the custodian chamber is fluidly coupled to at least one of the tanks to receive live aquatic animals therefrom, wherein the chute is configured to transfer live aquatic animals to an amalgamated facility.
ELECTROCHEMICAL ANALYSIS DEVICE FOR REAGENTLESS DETECTION
A system and method for treating water containing at least one contaminant. The system and method include a water treatment module such as a reverse osmosis unit. An electrochemical contaminant detection system is positioned in the waste water stream of the water treatment module. The contaminant detection system includes a contaminant sensor and a water quality sensor module. The contaminant sensor measures the concentration of the contaminant in the waste water stream and the water quality sensor module measures one or more water quality parameters of the waste water stream. A processor uses an algorithm to determine the concentration of the contaminant in the feed water based on the measurements of the contaminant sensor and water quality sensor module.
Marine waste water dump control system
A marine waste water dump control system for noncommercial nonmetallic or fiberglass boats that provides a system and process for automatically monitoring the time, exact location, and quantity of blackwater, greywater or bilgewater (marine water waste) is dumped from such a water vessel and for requesting and receiving approval or disapproval for dumping marine water waste into restricted or unrestricted waters, including oil water and the like. The instant invention has an MS (Automatic Information System) or comparable communication system that operates at approximately 160 MHz for determining the exact distance from shore and communicating with marine authorities, such as the Coast Guard, before activating the dump control system and communication. The dump control system of the instant invention automatically stores all dumping related information in memory for access by authorities at any time in the event a vessel does not include an AIS or a working AIS. The instant invention also determines from existing shoreline beacons and a triangulation method the exact distance a water vessel is from the shore. The system may be applied to any and all holding tanks on a marine vessel containing pollutants such as black water, gray water, bilge water, oil water and the like.
