Device authentication for wireless charging
An authentication between a wireless charger and a device configured to receive wireless energy from the wireless charger includes establishing a wireless data channel between the wireless charger and the device. An authentication challenge signal is driven onto a transmit charging coil of the wireless charger and a receive charging coil of the device is configured to receive the authentication challenge signal. The device sends an authentication response signal to the wireless charger based at least in part on the authentication challenge signal.
Piston Wings
Piston Wings has high lift airfoils mounted on a linear reciprocal motion mechanism for a propeller driven propulsion engine. Piston Wings, in linear reciprocal motion shuttling back and forth in a generally horizontal plane, has airfoils oriented at optimum angle of attack to generate maximum lift forces; and the lift forces, when vectored, are turned into variable thrust forces for takeoffs, landings, and flights of vehicles. Piston Wings in flight has the appearance of legendary magic or flying carpets.
Driver device for an aircraft
The invention relates to a propulsion device for an aircraft, comprising a blade (2) which can be rotated about an axis of rotation (51) of the propulsion device along a circular path (52) and is mounted for pivoting about a blade bearing axis parallel to the axis of rotation; a pitch mechanism having a coupling device (31) and a bearing device (33); and an offset device (4) to which the blade is coupled, the offset device defining an eccentric bearing axis (41) which is mounted at an adjustable offset distance. The coupling device is coupled to the blade at a coupling point (32) which is positioned in such a way that the plane that comprises the blade bearing axis and the coupling point and the tangential plane to the circular path through the blade bearing axis include a certain, non-vanishing angle (w.sub.α) when the offset distance is set to zero. According to a second aspect the blade bearing axis is shifted toward the axis of rotation by a certain distance relative to the plane that extends through the center of mass of the blade and that extends parallel to the axis of rotation and to the chord of the blade.
CROSS FLOW FAN WITH EXIT GUIDE VANES
A cross flow fan to be incorporated into an aircraft comprises a cross flow fan rotor to be positioned in an aircraft, a drive arrangement for the cross flow fan rotor, and a plurality of vanes positioned downstream of the cross flow fan rotor. An aircraft is also disclosed.
Aircraft having radially extendable tailboom assembly
A tail sitter aircraft includes a fuselage having a forward portion, an aft portion and a longitudinally extending fuselage axis. At least two wings are supported by the forward portion of the fuselage. A distributed propulsion system includes at least one propulsion assembly operably associated with each fixed wing and is operable to provide forward thrust during forward flight and vertical thrust during vertical takeoff, hover and vertical landing. A tailboom assembly extends from the aft portion of the fuselage and includes a plurality of rotatably mounted tail arms having control surfaces and landing members. In a forward flight configuration, the tail arms are radially retracted to reduce tail surface geometry and provide yaw and pitch control with the control surfaces. In a landing configuration, the tail arms are radially extended relative to the fuselage axis to form a stable ground contact base with the landing members.
Flow diverting lift element
Disclosed are embodiments of flow diverting lift elements which, when placed in the proper orientation and propelled through a fluid, produce a lift force with improved lift versus velocity performance. The flow diverting lift elements can produce lift for rotary lift devices such as aircraft. The flow diverting lift devices include an airfoil and a diversion wall extending from an upper surface of the airfoil. The airfoil can be an annular airfoil.
CROSS FLOW FAN, LIFT GENERATION DEVICE PROVIDED WITH SAME, AND AIRCRAFT PROVIDED WITH SAME
A cross flow fan includes a plurality of vanes arranged around a rotation axis at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction, a tongue section arranged on the outer circumferential side of the vanes, and jetting sections that jet a fluid along the wall surfaces of a discharge path into which the fluid is discharged from each of the vanes. A facing wall section is provided to a position facing the tongue section with the vanes therebetween. The facing wall section is provided with: an upstream wall section configured so as to be equivalent to the radius of curvature in the outer circumference of a path formed when the vanes rotate; a downstream wall section that is connected to the upstream wall section and in which the radius of curvature gradually becomes larger than that of the upstream wall section; and a diffuser wall section connected to the downstream wall section.

Pipe props rotary wing
Pipe Props Rotary Wing of the present invention is a propeller driven propulsion engine in a pipe profile with props or propellers rotating in part as rotary wings around their shafts; the props and shafts are oriented lengthwise along the pipe; and the props in rotations propel directional air transversely through and across the pipe to generate variable directional thrusts and lifts in directions also transverse to the pipe. Pipe Props Rotary Wing is a variable thrusts and lifts propeller driven propulsion engine to unify all propeller driven propulsion engines for all propeller driven aircrafts, including: propeller aircrafts, rotary wing aircrafts or helicopters, and tilt rotor aircrafts. Pipe Props Rotary Wing in a pipe profile, with props rotating in part as rotary wings, is suitable as fixed wings replacements for propeller aircrafts and tilt rotor aircrafts. Been adapted from Omni M-VAWT or Omni Multi Axes-Vertical Axis Wind Turbine with modifications, Pipe Props rotary Wing as propeller driven propulsion engines are unified also with some vertical axis wind turbines.
Aircraft
The invention relates to an aircraft designed as a compound helicopter with an aircraft fuselage, a main rotor arranged on the aircraft fuselage, and cyclogyro rotors which protrude laterally from the aircraft fuselage and which comprise an outer end surface. An improved torque compensation is achieved in that the cyclogyro rotors are connected to the aircraft fuselage by means of a suspension device which holds the cyclogyro rotors at the outer border of the rotors, and each cyclogyro rotor can be controlled individually and independently of the other. A torque compensation function of the main rotor can be carried out by the cyclogyro rotors.
