Pilot and passenger seat
The present invention achieves technical advantages as a pilot and passenger seating. An aircraft employs a pilot seat, comprising a contoured structure having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, with left and right arm supports that include an articulated control knob, movable in three rectangular axes and rotatable about a vertical axis to provide one or more aircraft steering functions for an aircraft, and a touch-sensitive control surface for controlling one or more power system components. A passenger seat, having a contoured structure, having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, a headrest, a seat, a left support member, and a right support member are adapted to cradle a portion of a passenger's body to support the passenger during travel.
A METHOD
A method for controlling an aircraft when taxiing comprising the steps of: measuring an angle of rotation of an active side stick about a first axis and a second axis; receiving an aircraft signal representative of an actual state of the aircraft; generating a control signal based on at least one of: the aircraft signal and the angle of rotation of the active side stick about a first axis and a second axis; transmitting the control signal to the aircraft, whereby the control signal causes an action affecting the actual state of the aircraft; determining a required state of the aircraft; generating a user feedback signal based on at least one difference between the actual state and the required state; and carrying out a user feedback action based on the user feedback signal.
CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A control system for assisting a pilot to control an aircraft operating under control of an active inceptor, the control system comprising: a receiver for receiving pilot-inputs on an active inceptor; an instruction generator to generate an instruction, the instruction based on an external signal associated with the geographical location of the aircraft; a tactile cue generator to generates a tactile cue which causes the active inceptor to move from a nominal position to a first offset position within a predetermined time period in response to the instruction.
Variable sensitivity input device for vehicle
A first sensitivity level is used to interpret an input signal received from an input device in a vehicle while the vehicle is in a first region. A second sensitivity level is used to interpret the input signal received from the input device in the vehicle while the vehicle is in a second region, wherein the second sensitivity level is greater than the first sensitivity level.
Land-and-air vehicle
A land-and-air vehicle configured to switch between a first form to be taken during ground traveling and a second form to be taken during flight includes a main body, a main wing unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The controller is configured to control, on the basis of an operation performed on the operation unit by an operator, a behavior of the land-and-air vehicle during the ground traveling and during the flight. The operation unit includes a handle and a step. The handle of the operation unit includes a throttle unit. The controller is configured to control, both during the ground traveling and during the flight, yawing of the land-and-air vehicle in response to an operation performed on the handle, and to control thrust for the land-and-air vehicle during the flight in response to an operation performed on the throttle unit.
LANDING GEAR FEEDBACK CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN AIRCRAFT
A control system for an aircraft, the system including a pilot input device configured to receive a pilot input, a plurality of sensors, each of the plurality of sensors positioned on a corresponding landing gear of the aircraft and configured to sense a parameter on the corresponding landing gear, and a controller in communication with the plurality of sensors, the controller configured to calculate an output command based on the pilot input and the sensed parameters of the landing gear, the output command including instructions for controlling a rotor of the aircraft.
Device for controlling a mechanical energy reduction assembly of an aircraft and associated method
A command device for controlling a mechanical energy reduction assembly of an aircraft, movable between an inactive configuration and a maximum mechanical energy reduction configuration, includes a rocker button, movable between a mechanical energy reduction assembly configuration maintaining position, a first position of incremental movement of the mechanical energy reduction assembly to its maximum mechanical energy reduction configuration and a second position of incremental movement of the mechanical energy reduction assembly to its inactive configuration. The command device further includes at least one return element configured to return the rocker button to its maintaining position.
Control system for a high lift aircraft assembly
A control system is for a high lift assembly of an aircraft. The assembly is controllable in two aerodynamic configurations each with different lift. The control system includes a manual control device operable by a pilot of the aircraft. The manual control device includes at least one member movable relative to a base body. The movable member can be moved relative to the base body between a rest position, a first position and a second distinct position. The manual control device includes a resilient return device for the movable member in the rest position. The manual control device issues a signal when the movable member reaches either the first or second position, to move the high lift assembly between two of the aerodynamic configurations.
CONTROL LEVER ASSEMBLY FOR CONTROLLING AN AIRCRAFT SYSTEM
A control lever assembly for controlling an aircraft system. The lever includes: a housing having an outer side and an aperture defined by a rim; and a control lever extending through the aperture and movable in the aperture; the control lever having an outer cover member arranged to slide over the outer side of the housing and cover the rim throughout the range of movement of the control lever.
SINGLE CONTROL CONSOLE MOUNTED ARMREST
A console mounted armrest includes an adjustable post to raise and lower the armrest, and a linkage. The linkage defines the tilt of the armrest with respect to the post. A single control mechanism controls the motion of the post, and thereby also controls the tilt of the armrest to maintain a desirable orientation with respect to the sidestick. The control mechanism defines multiple positive lock-out positions with respect to the post such that the control mechanism will always engage one of the positive lock-out positions.
