Compact aircraft main landing gear module allowing modular mounting

A module includes two main landing gears and a landing gear bay containing the landing gears. The bay has two lateral walls, a roof wall, a front wall and a rear wall. The roof wall, the front wall and the rear wall together form a pressurization barrier between the bay and a pressurized compartment. By virtue of the landing gear module, it is now possible to assemble and test the main landing gears and the one or more doors and the fairing before they are installed on the aircraft.

A system for use with a tripod landing gear assembly of an aircraft may comprise: a tension strut assembly having a tension strut extending from an upper end to a lower end; a drag brace assembly having an upper brace and a lower brace, the upper brace pivotably coupled to the lower brace at a center point, the lower brace rotatably coupled to the lower end of the tension strut; and a jury linkage pivotally coupled to the drag brace assembly at the center point rotatably coupled to a middle portion of the tension strut, the middle portion between the upper end and the lower end.

Landing gear assembly for reducing drag on an aircraft
11472538 · 2022-10-18 · ·

The present disclosure provides a landing gear assembly for reducing drag on an aircraft. Landing gear assembly may include a proximal joint, a movable leg extending from the proximal joint, and a base attached to a distal end of the leg. The base may be configured to support the electric aircraft on an environmental surface. The landing gear assembly may transition between a deployed landing position and a collapsed flight position when landing and taking off to provide optimal aerodynamics of the aircraft.

AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR

An aircraft landing gear comprising: a first member, a second member pivotally coupled to the first member, and a spring coupled to the first and second members, the spring comprising a plurality of elastically deformable washers, the spring being arranged to generate a biasing force between the first and second members to bias the first member toward a predetermined orientation relative to the second member.

LANDING GEAR BAY COMPRISING A BOTTOM WALL HAVING A VAULTED FORM, AND AIRCRAFT COMPRISING SAID LANDING GEAR BAY
20220315200 · 2022-10-06 ·

A landing gear bay including a bottom wall which includes longitudinal beams and at least one panel forming an airtight barrier between first and second zones disposed on either side of the panel. The panel has first and second longitudinal edges each linked to one of the longitudinal beams. The second zone is configured to sustain a pressure greater than that of the first zone. The panel has a profile that is substantially constant in the longitudinal direction and includes at least one central part offset toward the second zone with respect to its first and second longitudinal edges. This solution makes it possible to limit the vertical stresses applied to the longitudinal beams by virtue of the pressure difference between the first and second zones.

STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLY FOR AN AIRCRAFT

A structural assembly for an aircraft having pairs of main gantries distributed in the longitudinal direction, two transverse panels fixed to the front and the rear of the pairs of main gantries to together define a compartment for a landing gear of the aircraft, at least one pair of secondary gantries between the main gantries, at least one crossmember parallel to the transverse panels and that straddles at least one secondary gantry, and, for each secondary gantry and each crossmember straddling the secondary gantry, a connecting rod mounted to be able to freely rotate, via a first end, on a lower part of the crossmember and, via a second end, on an outer lateral part of the secondary gantry. Such an arrangement reduces the vertical bulk of the structural assembly.

Aircraft landing gear forward trunnion support assemblies and related methods

Aircraft landing gear forward trunnion support assemblies and related methods are described herein. An example aircraft wing disclosed herein includes a rear spar having a rear side and a front side opposite the rear side and a forward trunnion support assembly. The forward trunnion support assembly includes first and second vertical support fittings coupled to the rear side of the rear spar, and a trunnion housing with a bearing. The trunnion housing is coupled between the first and second vertical support fittings. A central axis of the bearing is perpendicular to the rear side of the rear spar. The forward trunnion support assembly also includes a side load fitting disposed on the rear side of the rear spar. A first end of the side load fitting is coupled to the second vertical support fitting, and a second end of the side load fitting is coupled to the rear spar.

Double-deck airplane

A double-deck airplane that facilitates passenger embarking/disembarking and cargo loading/unloading operations in order to maximize the number of flight missions carried out in a given time. The floors of its upper and lower decks are planar surfaces extending continuously inside the fuselage in at least the inner space of the fuselage intended for the payload; the lower deck is located at a height from the ground that allows carrying out passenger embarking/disembarking via equipment incorporated in the airplane without any external airport ground equipment; passenger and/or cargo compartments are distributed on the upper and/or lower decks; and the lifting structure is disposed in the airplane in a manner that none of its components crosses the upper and lower decks.

Hinged truck assembly for aircraft landing gear

A truck assembly for aircraft landing gear is provided. The truck assembly includes a hinge connecting a truck beam to a strut of the landing gear. The hinge is configured to allow the truck beam to rotate about the hinge relative to the strut transversely with respect to the length of the truck beam to thereby pivot the truck assembly relative to the strut between a landing position and a stowing position.

KEEL BEAM ASSEMBLY FOR AN AIRCRAFT

The present disclosure provides a keel beam assembly, an aircraft including the keel beam assembly, and a method of aircraft manufacture using the keel beam assembly. An illustrative keel beam assembly comprises a pair of keel chords extending outside an aircraft fuselage and forming at least part of a lower keel box portion of a keel box. An upper keel box portion of the keel box is coupled to the pair of keel chords and has an aft end engaged with and secured to an aft wheel well bulkhead (AWWB).
