DEVICE FOR ASSISTING THE PILOTING OF AN AIRCRAFT IN TAXIING, USING AT LEAST ONE ENGINE AND AT LEAST ONE BRAKING DEVICE, ASSOCIATED AIRCRAFT AND METHOD
A device is for assisting the taxiing of an aircraft, using at least one engine and at least one braking member. The device includes a control member, adapted to be actuated by a pilot from a neutral position to define a taxiing piloting command and a central controller, adapted to operate pilot at least one engine of the aircraft to apply the taxiing command defined by the pilot. The central controller is also configured to pilot at least one braking member of the aircraft to apply the taxiing piloting command defined by the pilot.
AIRPLANE WHEEL PREROTATION/LANDING BRAKE COOLING DEVICE
A detachable airplane wheel prerotation/landing brake cooling device is disclosed that comprises: an outer circular cage rim, an inner circular cage rim confronting and spaced apart from the outer circular cage rim, and a plurality of spaced apart arcuate blades spanning across and connecting the outer circular cage rim to the inner circular cage rim at a slant. Each arcuate blade includes a first section connected to the outer circular cage rim and a second section connected to inner circular cage rim. The plurality of slanted arcuate blades are, when the detachable airplane wheel prerotation/landing brake cooling device is being impinged by an airstream during the landing of the airplane, configured to (i) rotate the wheel about the axle in a forward direction, and (ii) funnel air into the plurality of annular spaces adjacent to the plurality of heat shields to thereby remove heat away from the disc brake assembly.
AIRPLANE WHEEL PREROTATION/LANDING BRAKE COOLING DEVICE
A detachable airplane wheel prerotation/landing brake cooling device is disclosed that comprises: an outer circular cage rim, an inner circular cage rim confronting and spaced apart from the outer circular cage rim, and a plurality of spaced apart arcuate blades spanning across and connecting the outer circular cage rim to the inner circular cage rim at a slant. Each arcuate blade includes a first section connected to the outer circular cage rim and a second section connected to inner circular cage rim. The plurality of slanted arcuate blades are, when the detachable airplane wheel prerotation/landing brake cooling device is being impinged by an airstream during the landing of the airplane, configured to (i) rotate the wheel about the axle in a forward direction, and (ii) funnel air into the plurality of annular spaces adjacent to the plurality of heat shields to thereby remove heat away from the disc brake assembly.
LANDING GEAR WITH LIGHTNING PROTECTION
A landing gear of an aircraft includes a pair of wheels between which an electric actuator at least partially covered with a lightning arrester cowl is placed. The lightning arrester cowl has an insulating matrix onto which at least an electrical conductor is attached. The electrical conductor includes electrical connection means for connecting the electrical conductor to a ground conductor of the aircraft.
AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR PROVIDED WITH AT LEAST ONE MOTORISED WHEEL
A landing gear of an aircraft having an upper portion intended to be joined to a structure of the aircraft and a lower portion provided with a first and second axle, the first axle being provided with a braked wheel and the second axle being provided with a motorised wheel, includes a first actuator that moves one of the axles between remote and close positions with respect to the upper portion while the other axle is kept stationary with respect to the upper portion. In one of the remote and close positions, and the wheels on the axles are simultaneously in contact with a running surface while, in the other position, each wheel on the second axle is at a distance from said running surface.
AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR PROVIDED WITH AT LEAST ONE MOTORISED WHEEL
A landing gear of an aircraft having an upper portion intended to be joined to a structure of the aircraft and a lower portion provided with a first and second axle, the first axle being provided with a braked wheel and the second axle being provided with a motorised wheel, includes a first actuator that moves one of the axles between remote and close positions with respect to the upper portion while the other axle is kept stationary with respect to the upper portion. AN AIRCRAFT CONTROL SYSTEM
An aircraft control system 100 including a control assembly 110 having control units, including a first control unit 130 for controlling actuation of the aircraft component during a first time period, using electrical resource 512 from a first electrical resource device 510, and a second control unit 140 for controlling actuation of the aircraft component during a second time period, and a switch mechanism 120 for switching control of the actuation of the aircraft component between the first and second control units, wherein the switch mechanism has a first electrical resource device status input 513 for indicating the status of the first electrical resource device 510 and wherein, the switch mechanism is configured to switch control between the first 130 and second 140 control units based on the first electrical resource device status input 513.

An oxidation protection system disposed on a substrate is provided, which may comprise a boron layer comprising a boron compound disposed on the substrate; a silicon layer comprising a silicon compound disposed on the boron layer; and at least one sealing layer comprising monoaluminum phosphate and phosphoric acid disposed on the silicon layer.
HIGH TEMPERATURE OXIDATION PROTECTION FOR COMPOSITES
An oxidation protection system disposed on a substrate is provided, which may comprise a boron layer comprising a boron compound disposed on the substrate; a silicon layer comprising a silicon compound disposed on the boron layer; and at least one sealing layer comprising monoaluminum phosphate and phosphoric acid disposed on the silicon layer.
AIRCRAFT BRAKING INDICATORS
An indicator for monitoring temperature and wear of one or more aircraft brakes. One or more sensors are provided for sensing a parameter of usage, and an estimate of usage of the part can be determined based upon the signal indicating the sensed value of the parameter of usage of the aircraft part. A plurality of sensors can be provided for sensing usage of a plurality of parts of the aircraft, and the estimate of usage of the part can be stored for access of the estimate by ground personnel. In addition, the sensed usage data are critical inputs for the brake controller to regulate which brakes are applied.
