Passenger seating arrangement having access for disabled passengers

A passenger seating arrangement for use in an aircraft cabin, the passenger seating arrangement comprising a column of seat units arranged in an inwardly facing herringbone. Each seat unit is configurable between a seating configuration and a flat-bed configuration. Each seat unit has an access opening for accessing the respective seat unit. At least one of the seat units is configurable into a disabled-access configuration in which an access opening is temporarily widened by moving part of a foot-receiving structure, for enabling a disabled passenger to access the seat unit.

An aircraft interior structure may include a passenger seating section proximate to a passenger compartment including an aircraft seat. The aircraft interior structure may include a seat extension cavity defined within the passenger seating section. The seat extension cavity may correspond to the aircraft seat. The aircraft interior structure may include a bassinet cavity defined within the passenger seating section proximate to the seat extension cavity. The bassinet cavity may be configured to receive a bassinet via an opening in the surface of the aircraft interior structure within the passenger compartment. The bassinet cavity and the bassinet may be accessible from the passenger compartment via the opening in the surface of the aircraft interior structure. The bassinet may be positioned in the bassinet cavity at a location selected to provide an unobstructed line of sight between the aircraft seat and an interior of the bassinet.

An aircraft sideboard includes a first portion with a first top surface and a first panel. The first top surface is disposed substantially horizontally at a first height and the first panel is disposed substantially vertically adjacent to the first top surface. A second portion is disposed adjacent to the first portion at a first end of the first portion. The second portion includes a second top surface and a second panel. The second top surface is disposed substantially horizontally at a second height and the second panel is disposed substantially vertically adjacent to the second top surface. A table is stowed interiorly to the first portion. The table extends from the first portion when deployed. The first top surface is immovable. The table deploys by tilting the first panel along a pivot axis defined adjacent to a bottom end thereof. The first height is greater than the second height.

Improved seating arrangements for a vehicle cabin of a passenger transport system, in particular of an aircraft are disclosed. Examples herein provide improved seating arrangements providing a high density of seats and increased PAX numbers while ensuring privacy, comfort and a direct aisle access to each passenger. For example, the seating arrangements provided herein are applicable to narrow body aircrafts and wide body aircrafts, in particular in view of business class solutions.

LATERAL SLEEP SYSTEMS FOR AIRCRAFT

Lateral sleep systems for aircraft are disclosed. A divider is located between a first seat and a second seat of the aircraft. The divider includes a first panel oriented toward the first seat and a second panel oriented toward the second seat. The first panel defines a first support ledge. The second panel defines a second support ledge. A first lateral sleep apparatus positioned on a first side of the divider adjacent the first seat includes a first headrest and a first cradle. The first cradle supports the first headrest and includes a first panel mounting interface coupling the first headrest to the first support ledge. A second lateral sleep apparatus positioned on a second side of the divider adjacent the second seat includes a second headrest and a second cradle. The second cradle supports the second headrest and includes a second panel mounting interface coupling the second headrest to the second support ledge.
