Pilot and passenger seat
The present invention achieves technical advantages as a pilot and passenger seating. An aircraft employs a pilot seat, comprising a contoured structure having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, with left and right arm supports that include an articulated control knob, movable in three rectangular axes and rotatable about a vertical axis to provide one or more aircraft steering functions for an aircraft, and a touch-sensitive control surface for controlling one or more power system components. A passenger seat, having a contoured structure, having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, a headrest, a seat, a left support member, and a right support member are adapted to cradle a portion of a passenger's body to support the passenger during travel.
SEAT SUSPENSION INSTALLATION METHOD AND PASSENGER SEAT
Various embodiments provide a method for installing a seat suspension on a seat frame having a first side frame member and a second side frame member opposed to and spaced apart from each other. The method may include moving a retainer on a first side of the seat suspension in a direction substantially perpendicular to a plane defined by the first and second side frame members for fastening onto a support member on the first side frame member; and moving a retainer on a second side of the seat suspension in the direction substantially perpendicular to the plane defined by the first and second side frame members for fastening onto a support member on the second side frame member. The second side of the seat suspension is opposed to and spaced apart from the first side of the seat suspension.
LEGREST FOR AN AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEAT, COMPRISING A DEVICE
A legrest for an aircraft passenger seat, comprising a device, wherein: the device has a housing; the housing has a first and a second housing half; the two housing halves are pivotally connected to one another; the housing is designed such that a life jacket for an aircraft passenger can be stowed therein; the device is provided on a main structure of the legrest; the first housing half is spring-loaded with respect to the second housing half by the spring force of a spring device of the device, such that the first housing half can be moved from an open position relative to the second housing half towards a closed position relative to the second housing half.
Dynamic electro-mechanical ottoman
A dynamic electro-mechanical ottoman may include a rail assembly with one or more actuatable tracks coupled to one or more rails. The dynamic electro-mechanical ottoman may include a cushion assembly translatable via the one or more actuatable tracks between a first translation position and a second translation position. The cushion assembly may include one or more cross plates coupled to a pivot shaft and the one or more actuatable tracks, and a cushion sub-assembly. The cushion sub-assembly may include one or more support plates coupled to a cushion and the pivot shaft, and may be rotatable about an axis through the pivot shaft between a first rotation position and a second rotation position. A top surface of the cushion may at least partially face an aircraft seat when the cushion sub-assembly is in the second rotation position.
LINING ELEMENT OF AN EDGE OF AN AERONAUTICAL SEAT SHELL, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AND METHOD FOR SETTING UP SUCH AN ELEMENT
A flexible element for lining an edge of an aeronautical seat shell, made up of an assembly of at least two elongate, flexible and planar cut pieces, secured together by respective longitudinal boundaries so that the assembly has a three-dimensional shape matching with an edge of an aeronautical seat shell.
A method for manufacturing such a lining element, as well as a method for setting up such a lining element over an aeronautical seat shell.
Aircraft area having a textile display, aircraft passenger seat having a textile display, and aircraft including an aircraft area
An aircraft area having a textile display, aircraft passenger seat having a textile display, and aircraft including an aircraft area. An aircraft area includes an interior component, a textile display on the interior component and including at least one textile fiber capable of changing a color at at least one section of the textile fiber, and a controller operatively coupled to the textile display and configured to change color of the at least one section of the textile fiber, such that the textile display displays information. An aircraft passenger seat includes a back rest, seat pan, and textile display integrated into a seat cover covering the backrest and/or the seat pan. The textile display includes at least one textile fiber capable of changing a color at at least one section of the textile fiber. An aircraft may include one or more aircraft areas and/or one or more aircraft passenger seats.
Auxetic support elements with ergonomic curvatures for passenger seats
Described are support assemblies for a passenger seat, that can include a supportive surface configured to connect with a frame of a passenger seat, and shaped to support a passenger. Supportive surfaces can include a first portion formed of a first plurality of cells having an auxetic cell geometry that can deform to adopt a synclastic curvature under stress, and a second portion formed of a second plurality of cells having a non-auxetic cell geometry that can deform to adopt an anticlastic or cylindrical curvature under stress. The regions having respective auxetic and non-auxetic cell geometries can be arranged to form a supportive surface that can flex to follow contours of a seated passenger.
MODULAR AIRCRAFT SEATBACK COVER ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
A modular seatback cover attachment system is disclosed. The modular seatback cover attachment system may include one or more trim caps including one or more tabs configured to reversibly couple the one or more trim caps to one or more portions of a seatback frame. The one or more tabs may include at least one of one or more hook tabs or one or more panel tabs. The modular seatback cover attachment system may include an interlocking assembly configured to interlock the one or more trim caps when the one or more trim caps are coupled to the seatback frame. The modular seatback cover attachment system may include a fastening assembly configured to couple the one or more trim caps to a portion of the dress cover.
CONVERTIBLE INTERIOR FIXTURE WITH FOLDABLE CUSHION FOR A VEHICLE
A configurable interior fixture for a vehicle includes a base assembly, a table assembly and a stowable cushion. The foldable cushion includes first and second pad portions pivotally connected along a medial edge with a hinge assembly and a collapsible sleeve forming an interior cavity configured to receive the table assembly when the foldable cushion is in a use state. The collapsible sleeve is disposed in a gap formed between the first and second pad section when the foldable cushion is in a folded state. The interior fixture may be configured as an ottoman by lowering the base assembly, folding the table assembly and attaching the foldable cushion to the table assembly. The interior fixture may be configured as a table by raising the base assembly, detaching the foldable cushion from the table assembly, then folding and stowing the foldable cushion.
