An aircraft seat fastening assembly, due to the use of electroactive polymers, facilitates the compensation of tolerances and the fastening of aircraft seats in the passenger cabin of the aircraft. A fixing actuator contains the electroactive polymer and can be switched electrically between a fixed state, in which a movement of a fastening region is not possible, and a non-fixed state, in which a movement of the fastening region is possible in a vertical direction. The aircraft seats can thereby be displaced in a continuously variable manner along the aircraft seat fastening rail. The aircraft seats can also be locked in a fully automated manner, and possibly from a central location. It is also conceivable to individually control the aircraft seats and/or the group(s) of seats.

A safety system for aircraft passenger seats is described. A pallet that can be removably coupled to seats can also be removably coupled to the aircraft floor and one or more brackets, tension fittings, or machined straps that can be coupled to structural beams or components in an aircraft. A keel tension fitting can be attached to a keel beam and then be coupled to the pallet and thereby the seats. By attaching to the keel beam the safety system allows the seating arrangement (pallet and seats) to withstand greater stresses and forces, resulting in increased safety.

In the usable position, the seat element is arranged, relative to the backrest, so that a front edge of the seat element that faces away from the backrest is arranged at a first distance from a backrest surface of the backrest. In the out-of-use position, the seat element is received, at least partially, in a gap provided between a part of the carrier structure carrying the seat element and an edge of the backrest facing towards the seat element, the front edge of the seat element being arranged at a second, smaller distance from the backrest surface of the backrest than the first distance.

A passenger seating assembly with an integrated cabin attendant seat (CAS) is disclosed. In embodiments, a CAS folds down from a monument mounted to the cabin floor via a combined track fitting that secures into the left-side or right-side track rail. A group of passenger seats (e.g., two to five) faces opposite the CAS monument and includes left-side and right-side leg assemblies mountable to the track rails via track fittings. One rear portion of a leg assembly attaches to the combined track fitting to integrate the passenger seats and CAS monument, eliminating unused space between the passenger seats and CAS monument.
