Aircraft cabin assembly
11472554 · 2022-10-18 · ·

An aircraft cabin assembly is depicted and described having a cabin wall, which surrounds a cabin interior space and has a wall surface facing the cabin interior space, and having a light source, which is provided in order to emit light onto the wall surface. The problem of providing an aircraft cabin assembly which, irrespective of the light outside of the aircraft cabin assembly, as effectively as possible gives a passenger in the cabin interior space the impression that the cabin interior space is larger than it actually is, is solved in that the wall surface has a holographic image of an object and in that the light source is designed to emit the kind of light onto the wall surface that allows the holographic image to be seen as a three-dimensional image of the object which is the subject of the holographic image.

VIRTUAL OPEN SKY IN SUPER FIRST-CLASS SUITES
20220324575 · 2022-10-13 ·

A super first-class cabin includes a monitor disposed in the ceiling structure, a controller to render images on the monitor, and cameras to capture real-time streaming environmental images and renders them on the monitor. At the passenger's request, or when the passenger reclines, the controller may render a selection of mood affective images, for example to promote sleep if desired. Such mood affective images may be organized into a schedule associated with phases of flight to gently wake the passenger and prepare them for the end of the flight. The monitor may be employed to reduce the effects of flight-base time-disassociation by varying a daylight color scheme over the course of long flights, simulating a day/night routine to align the time of day at the origin of the flight with the time of day at the destination.

AEROSPACE BALLOON SYSTEM, PARACHUTE, AND METHOD OF OPERATION

A balloon system including a balloon, a payload, and a safety module. A safety module, preferably including a tether and a parachute, and optionally including a cover and/or a drogue. A method of balloon system operation, preferably including operating the balloon system in flight and descending under a parachute.

Aircraft comprising a cockpit delocalized outside an upper part of the nose

An aircraft including a fuselage, a cockpit and a cabin, wherein the cockpit is situated below the cabin and outside the nose, such as a lancet-shaped nose, of the aircraft and may extend to a front end of the aircraft, and the viewing surfaces in the cockpit may be entirely formed of digital display screens.

Virtual window for aircraft

To create an environment in which the passenger has the same emotion, feel and visual experience that a pilot has with regard to freedom of flight and proximity to the exterior of the aircraft and where passengers have the impression that they are looking out of an actual panoramic window, a “virtual window” includes internal and the external aspects of a real window. The internal part can comprise a folded or flexible high resolution color display that conforms to the internal profile of the aircraft fuselage as if it were an actual window. The external part comprises a paint scheme that is indistinguishable from an actual window and which is placed on the outside of the aircraft fuselage in registry with the conformal display in the aircraft's interior.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SELECTIVELY DISPLAYING AN OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Apparatus for selectively displaying an operational area comprising an internal and an external environment separated from another by at least one physical obstruction, the apparatus comprising a headset including a screen for placing over a user's eyes, the system further comprising a processor configured to generate a three-dimensional virtual environment, and an image capture device for capturing images of the internal environment, said processor being configured to blend image data representative thereof into said three dimensional virtual environment to create a mixed reality environment including a representation of said at least one physical obstruction, the processor configured to receive image data representative of said external environment and to remove at least a portion of said physical obstruction from said mixed reality environment displayed on said screen, and blend said image data of said external environment into said mixed reality environment wherein said physical obstruction appears to be transparent.

VIRTUAL WINDOW DISPLAY SYSTEM

A method and system are provided for generating imagery of a virtual window within an aircraft cabin. The method may be implemented using computer executable instructions, loaded onto a personal entertainment device (PED) for configuring the PED to link to an aircraft inflight entertainment system (IFE) and access imagery, such as imagery from at least one camera directed to an environment outside of the aircraft. The imagery is displayed on a surface visible to the passenger, and formatted to simulate an aircraft window.

Imaging system, video processing system, and video processing method

An imaging system includes a first imaging device and a second imaging device disposed flanking the main wing of an aircraft. The first imaging device and the second imaging device are disposed so that at least part of a first imaging range of the first imaging device overlaps a second imaging range of the second imaging device. The first imaging device and the second imaging device are also disposed so that the first imaging range and the second imaging range overlap an extension of the pitch axis of the aircraft and do not overlap the roll axis of the aircraft or an extension thereof.

LOWER DECK COMMERCIAL CABIN

Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for allowing use of what has traditionally been a cargo area of a passenger aircraft to be used as a lower deck passenger cabin. Various modifications to the aircraft are described, as well as various features to be added in order to enhance the passenger experience. For example, there may be provided a lowered technical floor (32), stairs or other passageways (50) provided at both ends of the lower deck cabin, a window replacement technique, an alternative way of storing cabin luggage, or any combination thereof.

Apparatus and method for displaying a view corresponding to a position of a mobile display device

A method and apparatus comprising a view generator. The view generator is configured to identify a position of a mobile display device relative to an exterior of a vehicle. The view generator is further configured to identify image data from a sensor system for the vehicle that corresponds to a field of view of the mobile display device from the position of the mobile display device relative to the vehicle. The view generator is further configured to display an external view for the vehicle on the mobile display device using the image data.
