An accessway provides access between the upper deck and the cargo area. The upper deck has, at least locally, a raised floor in the vicinity of the accessway so that at least one part of the cargo area has a ceiling height higher than the ceiling height of the rest of the area cargo.
Apparatus for mattress retention in an aircraft passenger compartment
The present application relates to securing a mattress within an aircraft including a pliable enclosure configured for enclosing a cushion including a fastener system for providing access to an interior of the pliable enclosure when the fastener system is in an open state and for restraining the mattress when the fastener system is in a closed state and wherein the pliable enclosure has a top surface and a bottom surface and a strapping system affixed to the bottom surface wherein the strapping system includes a strap extension affixed to the strapping system wherein the strap extension is configured to be received by a retention clip secured to a bed support platform.
Lounge chair for aircraft
An aircraft cabin comprising a credenza and a lounge chair disposed above the credenza is disclosed. The lounge chair is adjustable between a first configuration defining a first seating arrangement and a second configuration defining a second seating arrangement. Also disclosed is a mechanism to facilitate the adjustment of the lounge chair.
PASSENGER SEAT WIRE ROUTING
A passenger seat includes a spreader frame structure and a seat back pivotally attached to the spreader frame structure. At least one cable can pass through apertures between the seat back and the spreader frame structure. The seat can rotate between an upright configuration wherein the seat back is in a deployed position, and a break over configuration wherein the seat back is in a stowed position. The length of the at least one cable between the aperture in the seat back and the aperture in the spreader frame structure is approximately the same in the upright configuration and in the break over configuration.
A Multi-Layer Sleeping Compartment
A multi-layer sleeping compartment for an aircraft is provided in order to more comfortable accommodate passengers to recline and sleep. The multilayer compartment houses a plurality of sleeping pods arranged either side of an entrance, and the sleeping compartment is generally aligned with a longitudinal axis of the aircraft. Further the pods may be booked for session times during the normal flight of an aircraft.
Aircraft divan convertible into a bed
An aircraft divan includes a lateral bracket connecting between front and rear legs with lateral bracket front and rear ends, a first track defined by the lateral bracket between the lateral bracket front and rear ends, an upright, having upright top and bottom ends, a second track defined by the upright between the upright top and bottom ends, a seat pan having seat pan front and rear ends, the seat pan being slidingly connected to the first track adjacent to the seat pan rear end, and a backrest having backrest top and bottom ends, the backrest being slidingly connected to the second track adjacent to the backrest top end. The seat pan rear end is pivotably connected to the backrest adjacent to the backrest bottom end such that movement of the seat pan is transmitted to the backrest so as to move together between upright and berth positions.
Vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft and system
A VTOL aircraft system includes a first unit having a cockpit, at least one propeller, at least two landing legs and at least two locking mechanisms. A second unit has a housing with a base portion, a first unit engaging portion, and at least two lock mechanism-engaging structure, each corresponding to one of the at least two locking mechanisms of the first unit. The housing of the second unit defines at least one interior cavity with at least one cargo area, a central passage providing access between the first and second unit, and a fuel cell configured around the central passage.
Double-deck passenger vehicle
A conventional passenger vehicle has a lower deck and an upper deck on both sides of its aisle to double its seating areas. Each deck has ceiling and seat heights about the same as that in sedans, and hence without substantially increasing the vehicle height. Both decks are divided into seating sections with partition walls, and in a seating section each deck contains only a row of power reclining seats. Each seat has a power footrest mounted separately on the partition wall in front of the seat for sitting comfort and forming a bed with the seat. The footrest can also be placed to higher elevations to use as a table for eating or working. The footrest is stored vertically to allow more leg room for the seat. In some section of the vehicle each seating section may mount two rows of sitting-only seats to increase the vehicle capacity.
