ABNORMALITY WARNING SYSTEM AND WARNING LEVEL SETTING METHOD
An abnormality warning system provides an abnormality warning for multiple motor systems that drive a motor used correspondingly to each of multiple rotors included in an electric aircraft. The abnormality warning system includes an abnormality determination unit and a warning level setting unit. The abnormality determination unit determines an abnormal one of the motor systems. The warning level setting unit sets a warning level to warn abnormality, based on at least position information of the rotor in the electric aircraft or the usage of the rotor corresponding to a motor system determined to be abnormal by the abnormality determination unit.
AIRCRAFT DOOR CAMERA SYSTEM FOR DOCKING ALIGNMENT MONITORING
A camera with a field of view toward an external environment of an aircraft is disposed within an aircraft door such that a ground surface is within the field of view of the camera during taxiing of the aircraft. A display device is disposed within an interior of the aircraft. A processor is operatively coupled to the camera and to the display device. The processor analyzes image data captured by the camera for docking guidance by identifying, within the captured image data, a region on the ground surface corresponding to an alignment fiducial indicating a parking location for the aircraft, determining, based on the region of the captured image data corresponding to the alignment fiducial indicating the parking location, a relative location of the aircraft with respect to the alignment fiducial, and outputting an indication of the relative location of the aircraft to the alignment fiducial.
Fault resilient airborne network
A fault resilient airborne network includes a plurality of aircraft system components installed within an aircraft and at least one agent in communication with the plurality of aircraft system components during in-flight operation of the aircraft. The at least one agent is configured to monitor an aircraft system component for a fault, observe a fault within the aircraft system component, and provide reconfiguration instructions to the aircraft system component in response to the observed fault. The at least one agent is further configured to predict a life expectancy of the aircraft system component using machine learning models while monitoring the aircraft system component for a fault, and provide reconfiguration instructions to the aircraft system component when the life expectancy of the aircraft system component meets a threshold. The reconfiguration instructions are configured to cause an adjustment in at least some of the plurality of aircraft system components.
Systems and methods for predicting degradation of a battery for use in an electric vehicle
A system for predicting degradation of a battery for use in an electric vehicle id presented. The system includes a computing device communicatively connected to at least a pack monitor unit, wherein the at least a pack monitor unit is configured to detect a battery pack datum of a plurality of battery modules incorporated in a battery pack. The computing device is further configured to receive the battery pack datum as a function of the at least a pack monitor unit, generate, as a function of the battery pack datum, a battery pack model associated with the battery pack of the electric vehicle, and determine a battery degradation prediction as a function of the battery pack datum and the battery pack model.
Aircraft flight envelope protection and recovery autopilot
Systems and vehicle are provided. A vehicle system for a vehicle includes: a trajectory selection module configured to select a potential vehicle path relative to a current vehicle movement condition; a trajectory movement condition module configured to estimate a modeled movement condition of the vehicle along the potential vehicle path; a limit comparison module configured to determine whether the modeled movement condition violates vehicle limits; and a violation indicator module configured to generate an indication of impending violation.
Anomaly prediction and detection for aircraft equipment
A method includes obtaining sensor data captured by a sensor of an aircraft during a power up event. The sensor data includes multiple parameter values, each corresponding to a sample period. The method further includes determining a set of delta values, each indicating a difference between parameter values for consecutive sample periods of the sensor data. The method further includes determining a set of quantized delta values by assigning the delta values to quantization bins based on magnitudes of the delta values. The method further includes determining a normalized count of delta values for each quantization bin. The method further includes comparing the normalized counts of delta values to anomaly detection thresholds. The method further includes generating, based on the comparisons, output indicating whether the sensor data is indicative of an operational anomaly.
System for sampling and analyzing contrails generated by an aircraft
The system, configured for being on board an aircraft, includes a probe for collecting samples of contrail, a chamber for collecting the samples, a collecting conduit for conducting the samples from the collecting probe the collecting chamber and at least one device for measuring at least one parameter characterizing the samples in the collecting conduit while they are conducted from the collecting probe to the collecting chamber. By virtue of the system, it is not necessary to use a second aircraft that follows the aircraft for collecting samples of contrail.
Flight equipment, flight system and information processing apparatus
Flight equipment according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an aerial vehicle having a body and at least one rotor held on the body; a plurality of supporters mounted to the aerial vehicle and supporting a protective member stretched therebetween so as to surround an outside of the body; a support information detection unit configured to detect support information indicating a support state of the protective member; and a mounting state determiner configured to determine whether the support state of the protective member is suitable or unsuitable, based on a value detected by the support information detection unit.
System and method for protection against vortex ring state
A system and method for protecting a rotorcraft from entering a vortex ring state, the method including monitoring a vertical speed of a rotorcraft, comparing the vertical speed to a vertical speed safety threshold, and performing vortex ring state (VRS) avoidance in response to the vertical speed exceeding the vertical speed safety threshold. The performing the VRS avoidance includes determining a power margin available from one or more engines of the rotorcraft, limiting the vertical speed of the rotorcraft in response to the power margin exceeding a threshold, and increasing a forward airspeed of the rotorcraft in response to the power margin not exceeding the threshold.
