Modular unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are disclosed. A disclosed example UAV includes a fuselage that extends along a longitudinal axis, a wing support frame extending from the fuselage and along a wingspan of the UAV. The wing support frame includes distal ends to support a releasably couplable wing, the releasably couplable wing to extend along the wingspan when coupled to the wing support frame, and a motor boom that extends parallel to the longitudinal axis, the motor boom to support a motor that is oriented to generate lift for the UAV.

Modular unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are disclosed. A disclosed example UAV includes a fuselage that extends along a longitudinal axis, a wing support frame extending from the fuselage and along a wingspan of the UAV. The wing support frame includes distal ends to support a releasably couplable wing, the releasably couplable wing to extend along the wingspan when coupled to the wing support frame, and a motor boom that extends parallel to the longitudinal axis, the motor boom to support a motor that is oriented to generate lift for the UAV.
QUICK RELEASE FOLDING PROPELLER BLADES FOR A MODEL AIRCRAFT
A quick release propeller for model airplanes is disclosed including two or more blades mounted to a hub. For each blade, the hub includes a slot and a shoulder. Each blade includes a base portion having pins which slide into the slot in the hub. The slots are curved which prevents the blades from being removed unless they are rotated at predefined threshold angle with respect to the hub.
VTOL AIRCRAFT HAVING FIXED-WING AND ROTORCRAFT CONFIGURATIONS
An aircraft includes an airframe having a fixed-wing section and a plurality of articulated electric rotors, at least some of which are variable-position rotors having different operating configurations based on rotor position. A first operating configuration is a vertical-flight configuration in which the rotors generate primarily vertical thrust for vertical flight, and a second operating configuration is a horizontal-flight configuration in which the rotors generate primarily horizontal thrust for horizontal fixed-wing flight. Control circuitry independently controls rotor thrust and rotor orientation of the variable-position rotors to provide thrust-vectoring maneuvering. The fixed-wing section may employ removable wing panels so the aircraft can be deployed both in fixed-wing and rotorcraft configurations for different missions.
QUICK RELEASE ROTOR ATTACHMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Provided herein is a rotor attachment assembly for an aircraft. A rotor attachment assembly includes a connecting assembly associated with the aircraft and a rotor assembly configured to be connected to the connecting assembly. The rotor assembly includes a plurality of fins configured to fit a respective plurality of cut-outs of the connecting assembly, a hollow section configured to accommodate at least a part of a pin of the connecting assembly so as to center the rotor assembly relative to the connecting assembly, and a spring configured to expand to allow the fins to pass and to close to retain the fins when the rotor assembly is connected to the connecting assembly.
Rotor arm assembly and fitting for unmanned aerial vehicle
A rotor arm assembly has a mechanical alignment and electrical connector for fitting to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The UAV has a corresponding fitting for aligning the rotor arm assembly, making an electrical connection with it and retaining it in position. Such rotor arm assemblies are easily and quickly replaced due to their modular construction. UAVs with this construction are easily transported and stored.

An information gathering apparatus includes an information acquisition sensor unit to acquire information and a propelling system to fly in air. The information gathering apparatus includes a supporting unit and a controller. The supporting unit supports the propelling system in the first and second configurations. The controller moves the supporting unit such that the supporting unit supports the propelling system in the second configuration after the information gathering apparatus is thrown up in a state where the supporting unit supports the propelling system in the first configuration.

A propeller, a propeller kit, a power assembly, a power kit and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The propeller includes a hub and at least two blades connected to the hub. The hub is detachably mounted on a corresponding drive apparatus by a mounting member corresponding to the hub, so that the propeller is mounted on the corresponding drive apparatus. A surface, facing the mounting member, of the hub is provided with a first fitting portion. A surface, facing the hub, of the mounting member is provided with a second fitting portion corresponding to the first fitting portion. The first fitting portion matches the second fitting portion. In the foregoing manner, a user can be prevented from incorrectly mounting a forward propeller and a counter-rotating propeller during the use of a quick-detachable propeller in the embodiments of the present application.

ROTOR BLADE ASSEMBLY FOR UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods directed to a rotor blade assembly for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are provided. A system may include a rotor blade assembly including an axle assembly, a first rotor arm supporting a first rotor blade and coupled to rotate about the axle assembly, a second rotor arm supporting a second rotor blade and coupled to rotate about the axle assembly, and a torsion spring coupled to the first rotor arm and the second rotor arm, such that a rotation of one of the first rotor arm or the second rotor arm about the axle assembly applies a spring force to the other of the first rotor arm or the second rotor arm. Additional systems and related methods are also provided.
