Continuous motion packaging machine with rotating flights
A packaging machine for placing articles into a carton includes rotating flight assemblies that receive a carton or carton blank, and rotate the carton blank and carton with articles while the flight assemblies move downstream. The flight assemblies each include two fixed segments and one segment that includes a block and associated bracket that rotate as the flight assembly is pulled through the machine by a conveying system. A method includes carton blanks being fed by a carton feeder onto the flight assemblies. Articles are formed into an article group, which is then placed onto a carton blank. As the blank and article group move in a downstream direction, the side panels of the carton blank are wrapped around the article group and the carton and article group are rotated to assist in closing the carton end flaps.
CARBOARD PACKER, AND A FOLDING UNIT FOR A CARDBOARD PACKER
A flap folding unit is provided, comprising at least one flap folding device having a disc-like member being configured to be arranged in a first position to urge passing front flaps of an associated cardboard case to fold, and in a second position to allow unfolded rear flaps of the associated cardboard case to pass the disc-like member.
SINGLE SLIT PATTERNED, TENSION-ACTIVATED, EXPANDING ARTICLES
The present disclosure relates generally to tension-activated, expanding articles that include single slit patterns. In some embodiments, these articles are used as cushioning films and/or packaging materials. The present disclosure also relates to methods of making and using these tension-activated, expanding articles.
Slit Sheet Tensioning Device
An expansion device includes an unexpanded slit sheet roll that is wound on a paper core that is longer than the width of the slit sheet paper roll. The paper core is placed onto a rod member. An adjustable downward pressure is exerted on the paper core and the paper core exerts pressure on the rod member. As the paper is pulled, the downward pressure creates the friction required to enable the unexpanded slit, sheet to be unwind and fed while simultaneously expanding.
MULTI-SLIT TENSION-ACTIVATED, EXPANDING SHEETS
The present disclosure relates generally to tension-activated, expanding articles, films, and sheets including a multi-slit pattern. In some embodiments, these articles, films, and/or sheets are used as cushioning films and/or packaging materials. The present disclosure also relates to methods of making and using these tension-activated, expanding articles, films, and sheets.
ARTICLES WITH COHESIVE
The present disclosure relates to articles and/or constructions with cohesive and to methods of making and using them. Many embodiments provide crush resistance in addition to customizability.
TENSION-ACTIVATED, EXPANDING SHEETS
The present disclosure relates generally to tension-activated, expanding articles, films, and sheets. In some embodiments, these articles, films, and/or sheets are used as cushioning films and/or packaging materials. The present disclosure also relates to methods of making and using these tension-activated, expanding articles, films, and sheets.
Assembly jig for stacked and shrink wrapped golf balls
An assembly jig comprises a platform, first and second parallel posts projecting from the platform, and a pillar projecting from the platform in a position equidistant from each of the posts and forward of an imaginary line between the posts such that the posts and the pillar are in a triangular arrangement. The pillar is shorter than the posts.
PACKAGING DEVICE, PACKAGING METHOD AND PACKAGE FOR VISUAL COMMUNICATION BOARDS
The present invention refers to a device for packaging visual communication boards and to the respective packaging method, characterized by a set of at least nine sections that comprises feeding the boards (1); fitting the lateral and upper profiles (2), cleaning of the boards (3); placing of the boards in the packaging material (4) and the positioning of the packaging material, the distribution of the bonding product on the surface of the packaging material and the placing of tops on the packaging material (5); executing the bonding of the referred tops on the packaging material; folding the packaging material and package seal (6); sealing the packaging material (7), labelling the package (8); control and wrapping (9) or palletization of the final product.
IMPROVEMENTS TO PACKAGING MATERIAL
The invention relates to the packaging of one or more articles in a packaging sheet material which is moveable from a first condition to a second, expanded, condition to improve the packaging effect of the sheet material. In accordance with the invention the sheet material includes a first portion with apertures which can be moved to an open position to create the second, expanded, condition and at least one, but typically a plurality of spaced apart, second portions which have no apertures, or a different shape and/or pattern of apertures than the apertures of the first portion, so as to form a surface of the said second portion more suitable for the application of a label and/or indications thereon when the sheet material is in the second expanded condition.
