Servo driven ice cream sandwich assembly and wrapping machine
An apparatus for the preparation of comestible-containing sandwich products comprises a sandwich product assembly station and corresponding means for the fabrication and assembly of a sandwich product in the vertical direction. The apparatus includes an extruder nozzle, wafer trays and corresponding components for the location of wafers on opposite sides of the extruded product, an indexing wheel for receiving the assembled sandwich product, and sandwich transporting means for moving the sandwich to a wrapping assembly and from there to a discharge end, wherein all of the components of the apparatus are mounted in cantilevered fashion on a vertical support or base member. Each element is powered individually by a servo motor or actuator and controlled by a controller allowing the variability of throughput for each station.

Repulpable container
A repulpable insulated container assembly having a container formed of paper such as corrugated cardboard or varying paper materials and defining an interior; and a repulpable insert placed within the interior of the container and formed of a first paper layer; and a paper fiber pad coupled to the first paper layer.
Method of Shaping and Compressing Toilet Paper Rolls
A method of shaping and compressing toilet paper rolls using compressor rollers is disclosed. The method is comprised of a workflow that includes fluted rollers, sleeve wrapping and specific packaging procedures. An object of the method is to provide a means to reduce the size of conventional toilet paper rolls in bulk to make shipping more efficient. For example, a box that currently holds twelve rolls now can hold twice as many rolls when utilizing the disclosed method.

Protective tray with an integrated dust cover for a sofa
An upholstered sofa sits in a protective tray with an integrated dust cover. The protective tray attached to a wood frame of the sofa around a frame opening at a dust cover portion of the protective tray. The tray having a separable juncture between an edge portion of the dust cover portion and the portions of the protective tray surrounding the dust cover portion, whereby portions of the tray surrounding the dust cover portion may be removed at a retail sales location or a user's home. The protective tray with the integrated dust cover is semi-rigid and may be attached robotically at the manufacturer's facility.
Adjustable packaging machine
An unwind station for a packaging machine may be configured to form wrappers having different sizes from a web of packaging material and supply the wrapper to a wrapping station. The unwind station may include a base configured to support the web of packaging material and a carriage configured to selectively slide in a longitudinal direction on the base. A rotating blade can be configured to periodically score the web to form a break line extending between lateral sides of the web. A first conveyor arm and a second conveyor arm may project longitudinally outward from the carriage. The first conveyor arm and the second conveyor arm can each include a low-speed conveyor configured to transport the web to a high-speed conveyor. The high-speed conveyor is configured to separate the wrapper from the web as the break line passes a shear point between the low-speed conveyors and the high-speed conveyors.
Apparatus and method for forming a carton
An apparatus for forming a carton containing a group of articles and a method of forming a carton. The apparatus comprises an article positioning system for positioning articles into a plurality of groups of articles and moving the groups of articles along a processing path, a blank handling apparatus for conveying a plurality of carton blanks towards the plurality of groups of articles, and a folding mechanism that is downstream of the blank handling apparatus for folding a portion of the ends of each respective carton blank downwardly around the respective group of articles.
Containment force-based wrapping
Control of a wrapping apparatus is facilitated by enabling an operator to input a load containment force requirement and/or a minimum number of layers of packaging material to be applied to a load, with a wrap control system automatically determining wrap force and other parameters required to meet user input requirements and/or parameters to minimize the expertise required of an operator and to provide more consistent and reliable wrapping of loads. In addition, a wrapping apparatus may be controlled to apply at least a minimum number of layers of packaging material to a load throughout a contiguous region thereof.
Packaging device
A packaging device includes a conveyance mechanism, a guide portion and a control portion. The control portion is configured to cause a first section of a film to be bonded to a base, cause the conveyance mechanism to convey the base toward a downstream side in a conveyance direction, move the guide portion along a movement path, cause the conveyance mechanism to convey the base toward the upstream side, cause a second section of the film to be bonded to the base, and cause the film to be moved in an opposite direction to a feeding direction at any time during a period after the first section is bonded to the base and before the second section is bonded to the base, the feeding direction being a direction in which the film is fed out when the base is conveyed.
