Unlockable Tie Apparatus
A tie to secure items therewithin that can be loosened or released to allow the items to be removed therefrom and the tie to be reused. The tie includes an elongated strap having teeth formed thereon that engage with teeth in a latch extending into an opening in a locking head that the strap passes through. The engagement of the strap teeth and the latch teeth allow movement in only one direction (tightening). A receptacle is located on the latch that enables a tool to be received therein and pivot the latch in order disengage the latch teeth from the strap teeth so that the strap can move in an opposite direction (removal).
CABLE TIE TOOL
A tool for tensioning and severing a cable tie comprising, inter alia, a reel magazine assembly, configured to retainingly receive at least one cable strap reel and provide for a spring-biased rotation of said at least one cable strap reel about a cable strap reel center axis, wherein said spring-biased rotation is directed so as to wind up a cable tie strap coiled up onto said cable strap reel; a feeder guide mechanism, provided within said barrel portion, configured to guidingly receive an end portion of said cable tie strap of said cable strap reel and move said cable tie strap from said cable strap reel through said barrel portion towards said distal housing end portion, but prevent movement of said cable tie strap back towards said cable strap reel; a locking heads magazine assembly, configured to store a plurality of locking heads and supply one locking head at the time for use with said cable tie strap, and a blade guard, operably coupled between said cut-off mechanism and said locking heads magazine assembly, configured to receive and move said locking head from said locking heads magazine assembly into a loading position, ready for engagement with said cable tie strap.
Slide block-based positioning mechanism and automatic tie tool having the same
A slide block-based positioning mechanism and an automatic tie tool having the same. The slide block-based positioning mechanism includes a slide block and a guide rail. The slide block fits the guide rail. The guide rail limits five degrees of freedom of the slide block. The slide block slides in a length direction of the guide rail. A head portion of a tie is arranged at a predetermined position at the slide block. The slide block pushes the tie from the predetermined position to a tie installation position.
Externally-powered strapping tool and a strapping tool assembly utilized therein
An externally-powered strapping tool includes a strapping tool assembly configured to perform one or more strapping operations; and an external power source operatively coupled thereto, the external power source being attached to the strapping tool assembly in a substantially immovable manner. According to another aspect, a strapping tool assembly includes one or more strapping tool subassemblies configured to perform one or more strapping operations; a power transfer subassembly operatively coupled to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies, the power transfer subassembly configured to transfer motive power from the external power source to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies; and a coupling member configured to couple the strapping tool assembly to the external power source.
Cable tie application tool
A cable tie application tool is described that includes an electro-mechanical tensioning system. When the electro-mechanical tensioning system is controlled by a processor to tighten a cable, a reactionary force through a drive nut that is pivotally mounted to a tension bar can be monitored and measured by a strain gauge, a load cell, or other sensing system. This reactionary force is an indication of tension on the cable tie and is monitored by the processor until the tension reaches a predetermined tension, at which point, the processor causes a motor in the tensioning system to stop increasing the tension on the cable tie. The processor activates a cut-off system to cut the cable tie that has been tightened to the predetermined tension.
Device for fitting cable ties
A manual automatic device configured for fitting cable ties around a bundle of cables or the like. The device includes a control interface allowing the user of the device to choose an operating mode that tightens but does not cut the cable tie and in which the electric motor which drives the cable tie in tension is controlled in reverse rotation to eject the cable tie before cutting. A method for controlling the device is also presented herein.
Cable tie mounting tool and cable tie mounting method
A cable tie mounting tool comprises an upstream jaw and a downstream jaw having concave guidance path portions for the strap of a cable tie, a placing mechanism configured to place a cable tie portion along the common concave guidance path by pushing it strap-end-first along the common concave guidance path starting at the upstream end of the upstream jaw and pushing it in downstream direction, an insertion mechanism for feeding the cable tie strap end of the placed cable tie through the head of the placed cable tie, and a tightening mechanism for tightening the cable tie and possibly cutting it. Also provided is a length adjustment mechanism for adjusting the length of the common concave guidance path.
Externally-Powered Strapping Tool And A Strapping Tool Assembly Utilized Therein
Disclosed herein is an externally-powered strapping tool that includes a strapping tool assembly configured to perform one or more strapping operations; and an external power source operatively coupled thereto, the external power source being attached to the strapping tool assembly in a substantially immovable manner. Also disclosed herein is a strapping tool assembly that includes one or more strapping tool subassemblies configured to perform one or more strapping operations; a power transfer subassembly operatively coupled to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies, the power transfer subassembly configured to transfer motive power from the external power source to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies; and attachment means configured to releasably attach the strapping tool assembly to the external power source, the attachment means further configured to hold the external power source in a substantially fixed position relative to the strapping tool assembly when the attachment means is engaged.
Cable-Tie Straightening Device
The disclosure relates to a cable-tie straightening device including a receiving unit for receiving a cable tie, a feed unit for moving the cable tie from the receiving unit into a straightening unit, the straightening unit for straightening a strap of the cable tie, and a discharge unit for discharging the cable tie. The cable tie moved by the feed unit with a head of the cable tie pointing in the direction of the movement. The straightening unit configured to receive the cable tie, guide the strap of the cable tie through guide elements and straighten it, and also to move the cable tie into the discharge unit, with a strap tip of the cable tie pointing in the direction of the movement.
Severing a Cable Tie with a Rounded Cut
This document describes techniques, apparatuses, and systems for severing a cable tie with a rounded cut. Using a cable tie severing tool, a cable tie may be looped around an object and a tail portion received through a nosepiece assembly. A head of the cable tie may be aligned using an alignment indicator to ensure a rounded cut of the serrated portion of the cable tie at a finite distance from the head portion of the cable tie. A blade member may be displaced to sever the serrated portion of the cable tie and produce a rounded cut free of sharp edges. In this manner, the likelihood of abrasive damage from contacting the rounded cut may be reduced.
