PACK FOR SMOKING PRODUCTS
A method is described for making a pack of smoking products having an ordered group of packets containing smoking products and positioned in contact with each other wherein the group of packets has a closed lateral surface around a theoretical axis of the group of packets, which delimits two opposite surfaces of the group of packets, each of which surfaces is defined by the set of homologous surfaces of all the packets. The method includes: unwinding from a reel at least one adhesive tape and applying it to the closed lateral surface and completely around the latter, to hold the packets of the group together solely by means of the at least one adhesive tape.
Baling press for cotton gin trash and other biomass feedstock and methods of using the same
A baling press for baling cotton gin trash and other particulate biomass feedstock. The baling press includes an infeed chute assembly, a compression ram assembly, an extrusion chamber assembly, a strapping storage and dispensing assembly, and a strapping insertion assembly. Methods of producing a bale with the baling press and a bale generated by the baling press are also described.
Bundling Tool Device
The disclosure relates to an automatic bundling tool device (ABT) for bundling a bundling good by means of a one-piece-tie (OPT). In an aspect, an ABT includes: a holding unit configured to receive, hold, and release a respective OPT which is provided to the ABT from an external reservoir of OPTs; a linear motion guiding unit configured to linearly guide the holding unit in a longitudinal direction while moving between a receiving position where the holding unit receives, during intended use, the respective OPT and a releasing position where the holding unit releases, during intended use, the respective OPT; and a drive unit configured to move the holding unit along the linear motion guiding unit.

SHOCK ABSORBING FEED WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A strapping machine of the type that feeds, retracts, tensions and seals strap to itself to form a loop of strap around a load, has a shock absorbing feed wheel assembly. The machine includes a frame, a feed head having a motor, a tension head, a sealing head and a strap chute mounted to the frame. The feed wheel assembly has a friction engaging surface and at least one pocket formed therein. A spring hub is engaged with the feed wheel and has at least one pocket formed therein corresponding to the feed wheel pocket. The spring hub is operably connected to the feed head motor. At least one spring is positioned in the feed wheel pocket and the spring hub pocket and is sandwiched between the feed wheel and the spring hub. The feed wheel is driven by rotation of the spring hub and engagement of the spring with the feed wheel pocket and spring hub pocket. The shock absorbing feed wheel assembly dampens the forces on the feed head motor and drive when the feed wheel comes to an abrupt stop and prevents strap slippage.
