The present invention relates to a device for manufacturing a pouch containing a brewable material accommodated in a wrapping, comprising a pouch manufacturing device adapted to manufacture a pouch containing brewable material, and a sealing station with jaw elements forming opposing sealing surfaces acting on the wrapping from opposite sides for sealing the pouch. The device according to the invention allows a more economical production of a packaging unit comprising a pouch in the wrapping and has a trough-shaped recess in which a helically laid heating conductor is accommodated.
Dosing device for feeding an infusion product
A dosing device for feeding an infusion product includes: a tower for containing product, tubular channels for feeding the product to the tower; each channel configured to pick up the product from the tower and release a quantity of product; a plurality of containers for receiving the product from the channels; a platform movable relative to the channels supporting the containers one after another. The platform is configured for carrying, in sequence, each container to a first position for feeding a quantity of product less than the weight of a programmed dose and, subsequently, to a second position for feeding a remaining quantity of product for reaching the weight of the programmed dose. A plurality of weighing elements control the weight of the product in each container and a control unit controls the quantity of product fed to each container and the relative movement of the platform.

A biodegradable whole leaf pillow tea bag is provided, along with a system and method for manufacturing biodegradable whole leaf pillow tea bags. The method for manufacturing the whole leaf pillow tea bags includes the steps of providing a biodegradable infusion substrate having two opposing edge; creating a sleeve from the biodegradable infusion substrate by infusing the two opposing edges of the substrate together and closing the sleeve at its bottom; placing whole leaf tea in the bottom of the sleeve; vertically feeding the sleeve containing the whole leaf tea into a heat sealing machine that will, at predetermined intervals create heat seals across the sleeve to create pillow bags; cutting the pillow bags from one another across the heat seal. In one example, the biodegradable infusion substrate may contain hemp and/or the whole leaf tea may be infused with CBD oil or other supplements. The same method of manufacturing may be used to create a biodegradable pillow bag containing coffee.

Reference elements are independent of the weighing elements are associated with the platform each supporting a weight of predetermined value; each reference element is in communication with the control unit to transmit a signal equivalent to the measured value of the reference weight by the reference element.

This device is characterized in that it comprises a pouch handling device for removing the finished pouch from the pouch making device and a wrapping material handling device for handling the wrapping material during the U-shaped wrapping of the wrapping material, wherein the handling device and the wrapping material handling device are adapted such that the pouch held by the pouch handling device and the wrapping material held by the wrapping material handling device are introduced into the sealing station.
