A multi-stage method of filling a container for storing a liquid makes use of a pre-loading process to insert a pre-fill portion of the liquid containing at least a flavorant, and in some embodiments both a flavorant and a sweetener. This creates a container that has been predosed with flavor and other components. Such a predosed container can be stored and shipped to be filled with the remaining components, before final packaging and distribution.

A seasoning bag for seasoning a foodstuff that includes an edible adhesive adhered to an interior of the seasoning bag and a seasoning adhered to the interior of the seasoning bag via the edible adhesive. The seasoning bag may be used in connection the preparation and/or cooking of foodstuffs. The bag may be used to season, marinade, and store a foodstuff. The bag may also be a cook-in bag, suitable for roasting, microwaving, slow cooking, and/or boiling.

A beverage preparation system for preparing beverages within a container by just adding water is provided. The beverage preparation system embodies an enclosure device forming a beverage admixture-filled enclosure with a permeable first membrane extending between first and second boundary elements. Attachment points may be disposed along the first and second membrane elements so as to enable formation of the beverage admixture-filled enclosure along the interior walls of the container by adhering the attachment points thereto. Alternatively, the enclosure device may provide a second membrane extending between the first and second boundary elements, forming a beverage admixture-filled reservoir so that the enclosure device may be received into and attached to any suitably sized pre-existing container. Whereby adding a suitable liquid to the container, the liquid permeates the first membrane so as to interact with the beverage admixture, resulting in a beverage mixture the user may drink from the container.

According to the invention, the machine (I) comprises: a rotary plate (5) having cavities (12); a unit (7) for delivering shells (2) of capsules to a cavity (12), comprising a storage magazine (15) for storing the shells (2) stacked together, and a sub-assembly (20-24) for delivering shells (2) one by one to the plate (5), by gravity; a unit (8) for filling a shell (2) with product, comprising a funnel (16) facing which an empty shell (2) placed in a cavity (12) of the plate (5) is positioned by rotating said plate (5).

A beverage brewing product for brewing a sweetened beverage is disclosed which produces a sweetened beverage solution that can be mixed with a diluting liquid and which comprises at least one water permeable sieve wherein beverage material and granulated sweetener are contained. The beverage material and sweetener are brewed and dissolved during steeping in hot water to produce a sweetened beverage solution. The beverage solution, if concentrated, is then mixed with a proportioned amount of diluting liquid to make a consistently sweet beverage. This beverage brewing product may be used to produce a variety of consistently sweetened beverages, including tea, coffee, lemonade, and other sweetened beverages.

A beverage brewing product for brewing a sweetened beverage is disclosed which produces a sweetened beverage solution that can be mixed with a diluting liquid and which comprises at least one water permeable sieve wherein beverage material and granulated sweetener are contained. Processes for the production of bags containing saline solution. The processes include sealing bags with crystalline components and then sterilizing the sealed bags with crystalline components. The bags may be sterilized in an autoclave and then transported to a consumption site which produces water-for-injection (WFI) suitable for use in an IV bag. The WFI is added to the sterilized bags, dissolving the solid salt (USP-grade sodium chloride), to produce a bag with a 0.9 w/v % normal saline solution.

A beverage product has a beverage container, a quantity of a beverage in the beverage container, a flexible, compressible plug sealing the beverage container, and a contiguous molded lid having a cylindrical upper portion with a top having a matrix of openings, a cavity in the upper portion below the top, the cavity open to the underside, a shoulder facing downward, and a descending skirt below the shoulder, the descending skirt separated by a plurality of vertical slots into a plurality of flexible tabs having each a lowermost, inwardly facing lip, the contiguous molded lid engaged to the beverage container by the flexible tabs.

Methods for manufacturing cartridges for fluid mixture dispensers are disclosed herein. For example, the cartridges can be ingredient cartridges for fluid mixture dispensers each holding a set of discrete ingredients in a set of ingredient reservoirs. The methods of manufacturing the cartridges can include configuring the cartridges with loadouts including selecting specific ingredients, selecting a number of reservoirs, and selecting a relative size of the various reservoirs. The methods can also include collecting a set of population data using a network of fluid mixture dispensing devices, analyzing the set of population data, and configuring the cartridges so that they are each optimized for a consumption pattern using the set of population data. The methods can further include filling the cartridge reservoirs according to the loadout and packaging the cartridges for shipment.
