The operating unit and the container are movable with respect to one another along a movement axis between a spaced condition, in which a sheet material is interposed therebetween and is spaced therefrom, and a joined condition, in which the joining device joins the material to the container. A retaining device retains the material during joining and cutting. In the joined condition, the cutting device remains fixed relative to the joining device and the retaining device moves along the axis from tensioning to cutting positions, the sheet element being cut on the cutting edge from the material during movement of the retaining device from the tensioning to the cutting positions.
Form fill seal system with multiple filling modes
A form fill seal apparatus for forming and filling a plurality of bags with a product having a tube formation assembly forming a tubular film, a bag forming assembly configured to form transverse seals and to cut the tubular film to form bags. A product delivery system is provided to deliver product from a positive displacement pump to a product delivery tube. A control system is structurally configured to direct the positive displacement pump to operate in two different modes, a first, continuous operating mode and a second, dosing operating mode. A method of filling is likewise disclosed.
Oral pouched snuff product
The present disclosure relates to an oral pouched snuff product comprising a filling material and a saliva-permeable pouch enclosing the filling material, the oral pouched snuff product having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction perpendicular to said longitudinal direction, the saliva-permeable pouch comprising a first elongated seal and a second elongated seal, each of said first and second elongated seals having a seal length extending along the transverse direction of the product and a seal width extending along the longitudinal direction of the product, wherein the seal width of said at least one elongated seal being equal to or less than 2 mm, such as within the range of from 0.1 mm to 2 mm or from 0.1 mm to 1 mm or from 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm. There is also provided a container having a base and a detachable lid together providing an interior container space in which a plurality of these oral pouched snuff products is contained.
AN ANVIL, A TRANSVERSAL SEALING SYSTEM, FILLING MACHINES, AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING PACKAGES
An anvil for forming a transversal sealing of a sleeve-shaped portion of packaging material holding a liquid product, said anvil comprising a main surface, in operation, facing the tube, and a ridge provided on the main surface, the ridge comprising a first section and a second section, wherein the first section of the ridge is placed below the second section such that, in operation, a stress in the packaging material formed by a hydrostatic pressure formed by the liquid product is shifted from a first part of the sleeve-shaped portion placed above the first section of the ridge to a second part placed above the second section.
PACKAGING UNIT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEALED PACKAGES CONTAINING A POURABLE FOOD PRODUCT
A packaging unit for producing sealed packages from a tube fed along a first direction and comprising one pair of jaws, which grip the tube along transverse sections, defining respective second directions crosswise to the first direction; sealing means, which seal transverse sections to form sealed packages; separating means for separating packages from the tube along transverse sections and comprising one knife movably supported by one jaw; driving means moving the knife with respect to the jaw along a plane crosswise to the first direction and between a resting position, in which a cutting edge of the knife is spaced from the tube and is aligned with the respective second direction defined by the transverse section to be cut, and an operating position, in which the knife has completely cut the tube at the transverse section; driving means move the cutting edge obliquely with respect to the second direction when said driving means move the knife from the resting position to the operating position; cutting edge contacts the transverse section along a cutting surface parallel to the second direction and increasing as the knife moves from the resting position to the operating position.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING AN ANNULAR BODY TO A PERIMETER FLANGE OF A CONTAINER
An apparatus for applying a cellulose-based annular body to a perimeter flange of a container includes a supporting unit and an operating unit. The supporting unit has a seat to receive a body of the container and is surrounded by an annular portion on which the annular body and the flange rest, such that the annular body is interposed between the annular portion and the flange. A heating device heat the annular body. The supporting unit includes an annular recess, surrounding the annular portion, to at least partly house an annular end bead of the flange. The apparatus includes a forming device, movable along a respective axis of movement between a far position and an engaging position. In the engaging position, the forming device engages and deforms the annular bead pushing said annular bead into the annular recess.
AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A POUCHED PRODUCT FOR ORAL USE AND A POUCHED PRODUCT FOR ORAL USE
The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) and a method for manufacturing a pouched product (201) for oral use. The present invention further relates to a pouched product (201) for oral use. The apparatus comprises a supplying unit (3) for supplying a filling material (5), a holding unit (7) for holding a piece (9) of tubular web of a saliva-permeable packaging material, the piece of tubular web having a predefinable length when provided to the holding unit, a transverse sealing unit (11) for providing the piece of tubular web with transverse seals (13) thereby forming a pouched product, and a separation unit (15) for separating the pouched product from a subsequent pouched product (201′) in or at the transverse seals.
