Labelling machine and method for applying labels
The present invention relates to a labelling machine (1) for applying labels (2) to receptacles (3) comprising a web (11) having a succession of decorative patterns (15); a cutting unit (12) configured to cut said web (11) so as to obtain individual labels (2); a conveying means (14) configured to advance the individual labels (2); a control unit (17) configured to control a positioning of the web (11) in relation to a reference station (18); a determination device (19) configured to determine and/or detect a relative positioning of the decorative patterns (15) in relation to the reference station (18); and a removal device (20) configured to remove incorrect labels (2) that are determined and/or detected as a function of the relative positioning of the decorative patterns (15) in relation to the reference station (18). Also included is a method for applying labels (2).
Pill bottles with conductive ink and reading systems and methods
A pill bottle for prescribed pills includes: a circular top portion having an aperture; a circular bottom portion; walls that form a cylinder and connect the circular top portion with the circular bottom portion; and a pattern of electrically conductive ink disposed on an exterior surface of the walls.
Robotic Product Labeling System
A system moves items, like containers and/or pallets, through a label printing station. The station has a label printer that prints adhesive labels; and a robot arm terminating at a movable end with a suction pad or vacuum device and sensors. The station has sensors configured to measure a height of the item; and a processor coupled to receive the height of the item, to control the robot arm and label printer, and to receive label information from a server. The processor has a memory containing code that computes desired label positions based on height of the container/pallet. A method of labeling an item includes printing an adhesive label with the label information obtained from a server; receiving the adhesive label on a suction pad or vacuum device attached to a movable end of a robot arm, and determining a first labeling position from measured height of the container/pallet.
Label inspection system
A system, method, and apparatus for inspecting a label for proper application thereof. The system includes a label application apparatus and an inspection apparatus associated with said label application apparatus. The method includes inspecting a spent carrier web for the presence of labels, or portions thereof, that did not transfer to articles being labeled.
Robotic labeling system and method of labeling packages
A robotic labeling system for packages includes a package database management system including a package database storing package data and a package labeling controller communicatively coupled to the package database management system. The robotic labeling system includes a package locating system receiving locating inputs from the package labeling controller for locating the packages at a labeling station and a package identification system having a scanning device scanning an identification tag on the package to determine the package identification and orientation. The robotic labeling system includes a label application system having a labeling device and label applicator that prepares and applies a shipping label and a customer specific label to the package based on the content data stored in the package database. The robotic labeling system may verify the applied labels based on the scanned data on the package and either discharging or rejecting the package based on the scanned data.
Machine for applying labels or other markings to containers
A machine (10, 224, 258, 274, 292, 310) is selectively operative to apply markings such as labels, sleeves, decorations and indicia to containers (58, 130, 162, 254). The machine includes a lower conveyor (LC) (14) and an upper conveyor (UC) (28). LC shuttles (46) are selectively movable around an LC track (16). UC shuttles (52) are selectively movable around a UC track (30). The LC and UC shuttles are selectively movable to engage a container vertically intermediate of respective LC and UC shuttles. In the container engaged position each container is selectively rotatably and linearly movable so as to be positioned in engagement with applicators (108, 256, 296, 298, 300, 314, 316, 318, 320, 322, 324). The applicators are selectively operative to apply markings to respective containers in operative engagement therewith in a precise and repeatable manner.
Labelling system and method
A pharmaceutical dispenser includes a conveyor including a receiving end for receiving an article to be labelled, a discharge end for discharging the article after the article has been labelled into a dispensing container, a label applicator for attaching at least part of a label to the article whilst the article travels on the conveyor, and a resiliently deformable object for forcing at least part of the at least partially attached label onto the article. The dispensing container receives the article, as the article falls under a force of gravity from the conveyor at its discharge end into the dispensing container. The conveyor includes a dispensing opening in a front side of the pharmaceutical dispenser through which the article is accessible and removable from the dispensing container.
Hole punching and spindle stuffing after bagger
Embodiments are directed to methods, systems and packages for packaging the coreless paper products and accessory products. Embodiments include receiving paper products, receiving a container used for packaging the paper products, and packaging the paper products into the container. Embodiments also include inserting accessory products into a cavity formed by the paper products packaged in the container, and applying a label on the container to cover the cavity where the accessory products are inserted.
