Label flagger
11554889 · 2023-01-17 · ·

Systems and methods include an assembly for a label wrapper to adhere a label to an elongated object, such as a wire. The assembly includes a support structure defining a receiving space. One or more resilient members are positioned within the receiving space and define one or more channels. One or more flexible sheets are disposed over the resilient members and within the channels. The first and second flexible sheets may provide a substantially uniform pressure on the label being applied to the wire regardless of the size of the wire and the label. In some instances, the label is configured to fold around the wire and have first and second opposing end segments that couple with one another remotely from the wire thereby forming a flag label.

LABEL PRINTER AND SYSTEM FOR MARKING A PROLATE OBJECT

A printer for outputting a printed product includes: a print head for printing on a print medium moving in a longitudinal direction, the print medium including a plurality of separate or separable labels detachably arranged on a carrier along the longitudinal direction; and a material interface for outputting the print medium printed by the printer as a printed product, the material interface including a dispensing edge and a support, which deflect the carrier over the dispensing edge and the support downstream of the print head in the longitudinal direction. The dispensing edge is arranged relative to the support in a first position to induce a detaching deflection of the carrier for detaching the respective label. The dispensing edge and the support are arranged in a second position relative to each other to induce an entraining deflection for entraining the respective label on the carrier.

TECHNIQUE FOR MARKING A PROLATE OBJECT

A printing system includes: a printer for outputting a printed product; and a device for providing a marking arranged or arrangeable in a closed circumferential manner around a prolate object. The device includes a mechanical interface and the printer includes a mechanical interface, which are positively and/or by force-locking connected in a mounted state and which release the positive and/or force-locked connection by a planar motion, a partial rotation, and/or a current change to a released state. The device further includes: a material interface for receiving printed material output by the printer in the mounted state of the device, and at least one actuator for arranging the marking on the prolate object in a circumferentially closed manner by the printed product output by the printer or for providing the marking for circumferentially closed arrangement in the mounted state of the device.

TECHNIQUE FOR MARKING A PROLATE OBJECT

A device (100) for arranging a marking (101) circumferentially closed around a prolate object (102) or for providing a marking (101) arrangeable circumferentially closed around a prolate object (102) is described. The object (102) is preferably a conductor. The device (100) comprises a material interface (156) to receive a printed medium (208) printed by a printer (200) as a printed product (214); a data interface (158) to communicate with the printer (200) to arrange or provide the marking (101); and at least one sensor (106) to acquire control signals that imply or indicate at least one measurand of the object (102) to be marked. The at least one sensor (106) is in data communication with the data interface (158). Further, the device (100) comprises at least one actuator (120; 122) for arranging the marking (101) on the object (102) in a circumferentially closed manner or for providing the marking for circumferentially closed arrangement, according to the communication via the data interface (158) and by means of the printed product (214) output by the printer (200).

LABEL WRAPPING DEVICE INCLUDING FIRST AND SECOND MEMBERS ARRANGED TO PARTIALLY OVERLAP EACH OTHER IN WIDTH DIRECTION OF LABEL TO CORRECT CURLING TENDENCY OF LABEL

A label wrapping device configured to warp a label around a cable includes: a conveying roller, a straightening member and an insertion recess. The conveying roller conveys the label in a conveying direction along a conveying path. The straightening member is positioned downstream of the conveying roller in the conveying direction. The straightening member includes a first member and a second member opposing each other across the conveying path in a prescribed direction intersecting the conveying path. A part of the first member and a part of the second member overlap each other in a width direction orthogonal to the conveying direction and crossing the prescribed direction. The insertion recess is positioned downstream of the straightening member in the conveying direction and on the same side as the second member in the prescribed direction with respect to the conveying path. The insertion recess is open toward the conveying path.
