SPIN REVEAL EXTENDED CONTENT LABEL
A label, a method of assembling the label, and a method for using the label are presented. The label includes a base ply. A tab extends from the base ply in a longitudinal direction. The label also includes a top ply located atop and dimensioned to cover the base ply. The tab of the base ply is not covered by the top ply. The label further includes an outer layer located atop and dimensioned to cover the top ply. The tab of the base ply is secured to the outer layer. Moving the outer layer in a direction pulls a portion of the base ply from beneath the top ply such that the portion of the base ply can be visibly perceived.
Device and system for arranging folds in foil material
A device is provided for arranging folds in a strip of flattened tubular shrink foil material in a container sleeving system for applying tubular shrink foil material around containers. The device includes a guiding element having an upstream guiding element part formed by a first flat plate extending in a first plane, a downstream guiding element part formed by a second flat plate extending in a second plane rotated with respect to the first plane, and an intermediate guiding element connected to or integrally formed with the upstream and downstream guiding elements and shaped so as to smoothly guide the flattened tubular shrink foil material moving over the first flat plate towards the second flat plate. The device also includes pressure rollers arranged to press at least one additional fold into the tubular shrink foil material.
SHRINK LABEL AND METHOD OF USE
A shrink label includes a first end surface, a second end surface, and a puncture extending along a portion of the shrink label between the first and second end surfaces such that the puncture is spaced a first distance away from the first end surface and the puncture is spaced a second distance away from the second end surface. The puncture is expandable to form an opening when the shrink label shrinks from an open state to a shrunk state.
APPARATUS FOR FORMING A SLEEVE ON A CONTAINER
An apparatus including: a conveyor having a machine direction and a cross-machine direction and a pair of edges spaced apart from one another in the cross-machine direction; a roller mounted to an arm and engaged with a continuous drive, wherein the arm is pivotably mounted to a frame, wherein the roller has a first position and a second position, wherein the roller in the first position is located at a predetermined location above the conveyor and laterally within the pair of edges, wherein the roller in the second position is remote from the predetermined location, and wherein the roller and the continuous drive are separated from one another by an obstruction; a driver operatively engaged with the arm to move the roller from the first position to the second position; and a vacuum port proximal to the roller when the roller is in the first position.
FILM FITTING SYSTEM
Provided is a film fitting system in which the formation and supply of a tubular film are not disrupted even if contents have spilled out from a container at a tubular film fitting position. A film fitting system 10 has a third container conveying device 16 and a film fitting unit 20. The film fitting unit 20 includes a tubular film forming unit 50 that cuts a long tubular film base material to a predetermined length to form a tubular film, and mandrel heads 40 that receive the tubular film formed by the tubular film forming unit 50 at a film supply position α and push up the tubular film in an opened state at a film fitting position β so as to fit the film on a container. The tubular film forming unit 50 is configured to form the tubular film and deliver the tubular film to the mandrel heads 40 at a position separated from a container conveying path of the third container conveying device 16 when viewing the system from above.
SHRINK LABELS
The invention relates to a shrink label. According to an embodiment the shrink label comprises an uniaxially oriented multilayer face film comprising skin layers including polyethylene polymer(s) and at least two cyclic polymers comprising different glass transition temperatures between 30 and 100° C. and the difference between the glass transition temperatures being between 5 and 60° C., and wherein the multilayer face film is seamed by a solvent. The invention further relates to a method for providing a shrink label, use of the shrink label, method for providing a shrink label and method for labelling.
Method and system for forming sleeved containers
The invention relates to a system and method for forming sleeved containers. The system includes a conveyor for transporting a row of containers, a sleeving unit for arranging sleeves around containers and a heat oven for attaching the sleeve around the container by heat shrinking. The conveyed containers are provided with a sleeve and the sleeved container is transported in the oven to allow the sleeve to shrink. According to the invention, part of the sleeve is removed using a removal unit. The part is removed after heat shrinking. Removing the part allows to uncover part of the container otherwise covered by sleeve.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE APPLICATION OF SHRINK FILM SLEEVE
A method and a device for applying a shrink film sleeve to a container is provided. The method includes perforating the shrink film sleeve at predefined intervals, expanding the perforated shrink film sleeve by means of an expansion device, such as an expansion mandrel, conveying the expanded shrink film sleeve along the expansion device by a conveyor roller pair, tearing off the shrink film sleeve at the perforation by means of a downstream dispensing roller pair whose conveying speed is at least temporarily higher than the conveying speed of the conveyor roller pair, and shooting the torn-off shrink film sleeve onto the container.
Labelling unit for applying a label onto an article
A labelling unit comprises: support means, a receiving member, adapted to carry an article on a top end and to receive a label on a lateral surface, and supported by the support means in a translating and rotating manner with respect to a given axis, driving means including a driving shaft carried by the support means in a rotating manner about the axis and engaging an axial hole of the receiving member, and releasable fastening means to connect the driving shaft to the receiving member in a predetermined axial position. The releasable fastening means comprise a spline element movable transversely to the axis between a retaining position, in which the spline element locks axially the receiving member onto the driving shaft, and a release position, in which the spline element allows extraction of the receiving member from the driving shaft and the support means along the axis.
Mandrel for applying and cutting shrink sleeve material to containers
A mandrel assembly for use in shrink sleeve labeler machines includes a replaceable insert having a cutting slot that is spaced apart from both upper and lower elements of the mandrel assembly.
