TAMPER EVIDENT CONTAINER
A tamper evident closure includes a first snap, a second snap, a tear strip connected to the second snap, and a first projection extending around three sides of the first snap. In a closed position, the second snap is positioned in a cavity of the first snap, and the first projection surrounds three sides of the second snap that is positioned in the cavity of the first snap.
Systems and methods to trigger actions based on encoded sounds associated with containers
Systems and methods to initiate actions based on encoded sounds associated with containers are described. Responsive to opening of containers, various structures may emit the encoded sounds. The encoded sounds may be received, processed, and recognized to identify audio signatures within the encoded sounds. Containers and information associated therewith may be identified based on the identified audio signatures. One or more actions or outputs may be initiated related to the containers or information associated therewith using various output devices.
Packaging and method of opening
A crack-propagation line is separate from a seal joining two shells of a confectionery packaging. The confectionery packaging is opened by separating the packaging along the crack-propagation line such that a portion of at least one of the parts of the confectionery packaging is broken to form an opening through which the packaged confectionery can be removed. Consequently, there is provided a method of forming a confectionery packaging and a method of packaging a confectionery product wherein two shells of a confectionery packaging are sealed together and a crack-propagation line is formed in a portion of at least one of the parts of the confectionery packaging. Suitably, the crack-propagation line extends away from the seal joining the two parts. The confectionery packaging is opened by separating at least one of the parts of the confectionery packaging, leaving the seal substantially unaffected. The additional step of forming a separate crack-propagation line rather than intending the confectionery packaging to be opened by separating the two parts through the seal provides improved opening characteristics.
Container with fold-out opening
Container with fold-out opening, resulting from the suitable bending and folding of a laminar body that has bending lines that define four rectangular walls, which have a common upper flap and another, common lower flap with bending lines; the upper flap has two folding lines that continue two transverse bending lines defining a wall that is in a central position; said folding lines defining three rectangular portions of the upper flap; the central portion having the same axis of symmetry as the central wall; each of the portions is provided with additions opposite the contact thereof with the walls; the addition having a tear line that divides the addition into two dividing parts; the portion having a slot and the addition having a tab in the dividing part thereof and which can be engaged and inserted into the slot.

Lid with breakaway skim plate for container for loading bulk material therefrom
A lid for a container for bulk material includes a flange for sealing the lid to the container, the flange having an internal peripheral edge. The lid further includes a skim plate having an outer peripheral edge and an aperture sized to receive a barrel of a device for dispensing bulk material. A first tear strip is disposed between the outer peripheral edge of the skim plate and the internal peripheral edge of the flange to release the skim plate from the flange. A small disk portion is disposed in the aperture of the skim plate. A second tear strip is disposed between the outer peripheral edge of the small disk portion and the aperture to release the small disk portion from the skim plate. The flange, skim plate, small disk portion, the first annular tear strip and the second annular tear strip all comprise a unitary molded article.
