HIGH-DENSITY SUBTERRANEAN STORAGE SYSTEM FOR NUCLEAR FUEL AND RADIOACTIVE WASTE
An underground ventilated system for storing nuclear waste materials. The system includes a storage module having an outer shell defining an internal cavity and an inner shell. A majority of the height of the outer shell may be disposed below grade. The outer shell may include a hermetically sealed bottom. First and second canisters are positioned in lower and upper portions within the cavity respectively in vertically stacked relationship. A centering and spacing ring assembly is interspersed between the first and second canisters to transfer the weight of the upper second canister to the lower first canister. The assembly may include centering lugs which laterally restrain the first and second canisters in case of a seismic event. A natural convection driven ventilated air system cools the canisters to remove residual decay heat to the atmosphere. In one non-limiting embodiment, the shells are made of steel.
Method and apparatus for interconnectable building block container toys capable of storing items
Methods and apparatus for removably or irremovably interconnectable building block containers such as those capable of initially storing consumable items such as food and drink. After consumption of the food or drink, the cavity containing same may be cleaned and/or refilled with consumable or non-consumable items. The building block containers are utilized as building block toys and may be manufactured or otherwise designed to be collectable. In one aspect, the container connectors are nearly identical such that any one connector may mate with any other connector. In another aspect, the connectors are nearly identical but the orientations of each connector vary to allow mating to occur when the connectors are properly oriented. In another aspect, the container is a cube juice box with connectors on all four corners of all six sides of the container. A frame for holding a juice container may also be utilized.
STORAGE BIN STACKING AND LABELING CLIP
A storage bin stacking clip for clipping to a top edge of a first storage bin and for supporting a second storage bin stacked upon the first storage bin. The stacking clip comprises: a bin support base including a base surface and defining a base opening; a front plate connected to the bin-support base, the front plate extending transversely from the base and including a front surface; a bin stop tab extending from the front plate and including a front stop tab surface, the front stop tab surface being coplanar with the front surface of the front plate such that the front stop tab surface and the front surface of the front plate form a continuous front surface, the bin stop tab defining a stop tab length that is less than the base length; and one or more support arms extending transversely from the base.
SECURING SYSTEM FOR STACKING CONTAINERS
A system for securing containers together includes posts, legs or support features that protrude from a panel of a first container and that fit into matched apertures on an adjacent panel of a second container. The posts, legs or support features are secured within or through the matched apertures or within matched apertures on interlock blocks that are on or attached to the adjacnet panel of a second container through braces, brackets, clamps and pins (magnet or spring loaded) that engage the posts, legs or support features.
Utility connectivity system
Provided is a utility connectivity system. More specifically the presently claimed subject matter is directed to connectivity systems associated with containers and utility units connectable to one another.
Extendable and retractable insulated beverage holder
An insulated beverage holder device includes an insulated outer hollow cylinder, the insulated outer hollow cylinder including an open top and a bottom floor; an interior insulating hollow cylinder, the interior insulating hollow cylinder having an open top and an open bottom; and an insulating hollow liner, the insulating liner having an open top and an open bottom. The interior insulating hollow cylinder may be configured to be positioned inside the insulated outer hollow cylinder and attached to the insulated outer hollow cylinder. The insulating hollow liner may be attached to the interior insulating hollow cylinder and the insulating hollow liner to touch a first beverage container.
Stacking and organization device for cans and other containers
A can stacking and organization device is present herein. The device includes at least one body segment which is formed of an outer wall, an intermediate wall and an inner wall. A first trough is defined between the outer wall and the intermediate wall, and a second trough is defined between the intermediate wall and the inner wall. The intermediate wall includes at least one indentation formed upon a top surface thereof, such that material collected within the first trough can overflow through the indentation and into the second trough.
COOKING METHOD AND APPARATUS
An ovenable cooking apparatus for facilitating the cooking of food components while maintaining the separateness thereof may include a first container for holding a first food component, and a second container for holding a second food component. The separation of the first food component from the second food component maintains the surface area for the first and second food components to facilitate heating of the first and second food components. The first food component may have a liquid based content for producing steam when heated, and one or both of the first container and the second container may define a passage for providing airflow and steam flow for contacting the second container and/or the second foodstuff and heating or steaming the second food component. Additionally, the second container may be steam impermeable for cooking bread and the like.
