CONNECTABLE CONTACT LENS PACKAGES FOR RECYCLING

Contact lens packages are provided and each includes a base member having a cavity and a sealing member coupled to the base member. An unworn contact lens is provided in a packaging solution within the sealed cavity. The base member is a thermoplastic or other recyclable material. The base member includes at least one latch and at least one slot. The latch and slot are configured to connect to the slot and latch, respectively, of another base member, after the contact lenses are removed from the cavities. A recyclable thermoplastic contact lens assembly is also provided that includes empty contact lens package base members stacked and connected together. A method to recycle used contact lens package base members, such as by curbside recycling, is also provided.

Provided is a cantilever box including at least two trays, including a lowermost tray and an uppermost tray, interconnected therebetween by cantilever links pivotally secured to the trays, the trays are convertible at least between a stacked position, and an extended position; a first gripping portion, disposed at the uppermost tray, configured for being gripped by a user for converting the trays between their extended position and their stacked position; and a securing mechanism switchable between a locked state in which when the trays are at their extended position, the securing mechanism is configured for arresting a locking member, thereby locking the trays at their extended position; and an unlocked state in which the securing mechanism is disengaged from said locking member, thereby facilitating displacement of the trays from their extended position into their stacked position.

Tessellating blister packages for contact lenses

A blister package for a contact lens is provided that can be stacked with other blister packages of the same design. One example of the blister package has a body that includes a dome and a handle. A seal is attached to the top surface of the body and has a seal dome that seals a volume between the outer sidewall of the body dome and the inner sidewall of the seal dome. The handle has a through-hole and the through-hole that accommodates the outer sidewall of the seal dome. Another blister package provided has a handle and a bowl and the handle has a through-hole that accommodates the bowl outer surface. Stacks of blister packages are also provided as is secondary packaging for packaging stacks of tessellating blister packages.

Adapter for offset stacking of beverage decanters

An adapter for offset stacking of beverage decanters or dispensers in laterally offset relation, and more particularly, configurable for stacking the decanters in a forwardly and/or sidewardly arranged laterally offset relation, to allow dispensing individually from faucets, spigots, or other dispensing apparatus of the decanters without dripping directly onto lower faucets and without interference, and which can also serve as a decanter lid. The adapter can be configured for fore and aft, angular, and/or sideward offsets, and can include pass-through openings for brewing, and other optional features.

The invention relates to a packaging container (1) having a top side (2), a bottom side (5) extending parallel to the top side, and at least one side wall (6) extending between the top side and the bottom side. The top side has at least one protrusion, and the opposite side extending parallel has at least one recess (4), into which a protrusion of an identically shaped packaging container can be inserted. The problem addressed by the invention is that of producing such a packaging container in an economical and environmentally friendly manner. This problem is solved in that holes (24) are punched in the top side (2) and in the bottom side (5) and in that the protrusions (3) and the recesses (4) are attached in inserts (22, 23), which are inserted into the packaging container (1).

Provided is an expandable, modular tower planter having an internal vertical composting capability, and a method of assembling and using the same. Provided in various example embodiments is a modular composting garden container system comprising a base and a plurality of stackable rings forming a tower upon the base, including an optional base ring specially sized, shaped, and positioned to connect the tower to the base. A plurality of perforated, stackable tube sections are provided that are removably assembled into a compost tube assembly of selectable height and mounted within the interior of the tower and above the base. A plurality of holding struts are sized, shaped, and positioned to removably connect the compost tube assembly with the tower and to securely locate the compost tube assembly relative to the tower. Means are provided for recovering nutrient-rich drainage and selective recovery of compost material for reintroduction into the system.

Collapsible container including troughs

A collapsible container includes a base having a base wall with a plurality of support surfaces separated by a longitudinal drainage channel and a plurality of lateral drainage channels intersecting the longitudinal drainage channel. The drainage channels are lower than the support surfaces. The base wall does not include any openings therethrough, so the drainage channels retain fluid leaking from products or packages in the container. The base may further include a plurality of troughs proximate edges of the base. The plurality of troughs are lower than the drainage channels. Walls are pivotably mounted to the base and are pivotable between an upright position and a collapsed position.

A collapsible container includes a base having a pair of opposed first edges and a pair of opposed second edges. The base has a generally planar portion having a plurality of first drainage channels formed along the first edges, a plurality of second drainage channels formed along the second edges and a plurality of third drainage channels formed perpendicularly to the first drainage channels between the second drainage channels. The second drainage channels and the third drainage channels are in fluid communication with the first drainage channels. The first, second and third drainage channels form drag rails on an underside of the base that are the lowest surfaces of the base.
