RESEALABLE BEVERAGE CAN LID
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a score line forming a panel, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a second rivet formed in the panel and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, and a tab portion comprising a main body portion having a rear lifting portion, a first forward rupturing portion, a second forward rupturing portion, an opening formed in the body portion for forming a tongue having a first aperture, a second aperture, the tab portion connected to the first rivet through the first aperture and the second rivet through the second aperture.
CAN LID
A can lid is described that is in particular intended for beverage cans and that differs from the generally known metallic can lids in that the opening region is configured as a tongue tab that is separated from the lid surface by a microgap, in particular a punched gap, extending over the tab periphery and the tongue tab base connected to the lid surface forms a kink bearing that becomes effective on the opening procedure and that is connected to the lid surface, and in that the lower side of the metallic lid is in particular coated over its whole surface in a firmly adhering manner with a plastic material, in particular a plastic film, and this coating is weakened, in particular notched, adjacent to the microgap between the tongue tab and the lid surface.
CAN END
A can end (10) has a curl (14) extending circumferentially about a longitudinal axis (50). A circumferential wall (15) extends downwardly. A strengthening member (16) is joined to lower segment of the circumferential wall (15). A center panel (12) extends radially inwardly from the circumferential strengthening member (16). A rivet (38) attaches a tab (28) to the center panel (12). A cover (60) is attached to the tab (28) and is rotation therewith. A frangible score (24) in the center panel (12) is breakable to form a pour opening (27) in the center panel (12). The cover (60) is rotatable to overlay the pour opening (27) and effectively reclose the pour opening (27) in a reclosed condition of the can end (10).
Can lid
In an easy open can lid a pulling-up direction of a tab acts toward a center of the lid while securing a finger hooking property with respect to the tab, by devising a shape of an embossed portion. In a can lid in which a tab for score breaking is fixed to a main body, and an embossed portion, into which a fingertip is insertable, is provided in the vicinity of a rear end of a finger hook portion of the tab, the embossed portion has a slope formed at a rear end side of the finger hook portion, and the slope of the embossed portion is provided with a guide recess for guiding a fingertip that extends toward the center of the lid at least up to a position thereof facing a central portion in a width direction of a back surface of the finger hook portion.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CAN
An environmentally friendly can for containing a product includes a sealed container that contains the product and includes a polyester resin and a release mechanism to open the container and access the product. The polyester resin may be a furan resin selected from poly (ethylene 2, 5-furan dicarboxylate) (PEF), poly (butylene 2, 5-furan dicarboxylate) (PBF), poly (trim ethylene furan dicarboxylate) (PTF), poly (propylene 2, 5-furandicarboxylate) (PPF), and poly (neopentyl 2, 5-furandicarboxylate) (PNF); and/or a biodegradable polyester resin such as polyglycolic acid (PGA). The can may further include a generally cylindrical shell molded to have a sealed bottom and a straight wall that includes the resin; and a cap to seal the shell, the cap having the release mechanism and a rim that includes the resin; wherein the rim of the cap is bonded to the wall of the shell to releasably seal the product inside the can.
RESEALABLE CAN END WITH STAY ON TAB
A reclosable beverage can end (10) has a circumferential curl (14) centered about a center longitudinal axis (50). A circumferential wall (15) extends downwardly from the curl (14) and inwardly towards the longitudinal axis (50). A center panel (12) is produced from a metallic material and centered about the longitudinal axis (50). The center panel (12) has a public side (34) and an opposing product side (35). A tab (26) is mounted to the public side (34) of the center panel (12). A pour opening (20) is formed by an aperture in the center panel (12) and sealed by the tab (26). The pour opening (20) is at least partially defined by a pour opening curl (22) of the metallic material of the center panel (12).
Beverage Container For Forming A Head On A Poured Beverage
A beverage container for a nitrogenated beverage comprises at least two restricted outlet apertures (11, 12) configured to, when pouring therefrom into a secondary vessel, form jets of beverage that impinge downstream. Impingement initiates nucleation of dissolved nitrogen gas in the beverage and, as such, when poured into the vessel a creamy head of fine nitrogen/mixed gas bubbles can be formed. The restricted outlet apertures can be formed in a plate (10) over an openable mouth of the beverage container, or directly upon the container. Preferably a vent (14) or some other means is included to increase the velocity of the jets.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER BODY, CAN END, AND MATERIAL THEREFOR
In a method of forming a beverage container, a can body is formed from a metal alloy. A can end is formed from a substantially compositionally identical metal alloy. The metal alloy is a heat treatable aluminum alloy . The heat treatable aluminum alloy is produced from up to 100% recycled aluminum material.
Resealable beverage can lid
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a score line forming a panel, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a second rivet formed in the panel and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, and a tab portion having an extension portion with the tab portion connected to the first rivet and the extension portion connected to the second rivet.
Can comprising a first, dispense opening and second, vent opening and a single pull tab
A can for containing a liquid has a top end having a dispense area defined by a first score line and a pull tab coupled to the top end by a rivet. The pull tab has a puncturing end for breaking the first score line and pushing into the interior of the can without detaching the dispense area to open a dispense aperture. A vent area is defined by a second score line and positioned on the opposite side of the rivet. The first and second score lines are separated by at least one torsion stripe of the can top material for acting as a hinge by torsion upon lifting the actuating end of the pull tab. As the dispense aperture is opened by pushing the dispense area into the interior of the can, a vent aperture is opened by pulling the vent area outwards.
