CAN END
20230227205 · 2023-07-20 ·

A can end (10) has a curl (14) extending circumferentially about a longitudinal axis (50). A circumferential wall (15) extends downwardly. A strengthening member (16) is joined to lower segment of the circumferential wall (15). A center panel (12) extends radially inwardly from the circumferential strengthening member (16). A rivet (38) attaches a tab (28) to the center panel (12). A cover (60) is attached to the tab (28) and is rotation therewith. A frangible score (24) in the center panel (12) is breakable to form a pour opening (27) in the center panel (12). The cover (60) is rotatable to overlay the pour opening (27) and effectively reclose the pour opening (27) in a reclosed condition of the can end (10).

EASY-OPEN CAN END OPENED BY ROTATED BAR
20170297763 · 2017-10-19 ·

An easy-open can end for making an opening therethrough suitable for pouring comprises an end plate, a score line in the end plate defining most of the periphery of a tear panel while leaving a hinge, and a protrusion formed on the tear panel. To open the easy-open can end, the protrusion is pressed down by a rotating bar horizontally rotated over the protrusion or by a body vertically hitting the protrusion to cause relative vertical movement between the tear panel and the remainder of the end plate, rupture of the score line, and swinging of the tear panel down about the hinge to an open position.

Removable closure device for metal containers

Removable closure device for metal containers comprising a lid delimited by a peripheral edge; a tab having a connecting end connected to the lid near a first portion of the peripheral edge and extending along a longitudinal direction towards a second portion of the peripheral edge opposite the first portion, and having a grip end opposite the connecting end located between the first and the second portions of the peripheral edge; two stiffening elements placed on the lid on opposite sides with respect to the tab, each of which comprises: an inner wall having a first curved section closely surrounding the grip end of the tab and having the concavity facing the tab, and an outer wall extending along the longitudinal direction between a first and a second tip, respectively facing the first and the second portions of the peripheral edge. The tangents to the outer walls of each stiffening element at the second tip converge near the second portion of the peripheral edge.

Panel, and a container body and a container provided with such panel

The present invention relates to a panel including a peripheral edge to be connected to a container body of a container, and a tab connected to the panel, which tab includes a front tab part and a rear tab part for gripping and forming an opening in the panel, wherein the panel is provided with means preventing an external can structure to engage with the rear tab part, and to a can body and a can including such a panel.

EASY OPEN END WITH INCREASED PANEL STIFFNESS

A metal easy open can end adapted for closing a metal can body is proposed. The can end has a score (27) defining a removable panel (26) and a tab (23), located at an edge region of the panel, for applying a force to the panel to allow the panel to be removed in a tear direction. The panel (26) has at least one embossed and/or debossed rib (25 a-c) extending substantially in said tear direction from a location or locations proximal to said tab to a location or locations proximal to an end of the panel opposite to said edge region. The rib(s) have a depth or height of at least 0.6 mm relative to surrounding panel regions along at least a part of the rib extent.

CAN LID

A can lid is provided to be made of a steel plate and easy to be opened. An opening piece is enclosed by a score line formed on a periphery of a panel portion. An installation portion of a tab is attached to the opening piece at a site close to a circumference of the opening piece. The tab includes a finger grip portion that is situated closer to a center of the opening piece than the installation portion, and a nose portion that is situated on an opposite side to the finger grip portion at a radially outer side of the score line. A portion of the panel portion underneath the nose portion serves as a support section that supports the nose portion from below. An outer circumferential bead is formed on a radially outer side of the score line to enhance a bending stiffness of the support section.

Metal end closure with an extended score which is opened with a secondary tool

A metallic container end closure is provided that generally comprises a primary pour opening and an extended or secondary score which is opened with a secondary tool to form a secondary pour opening. The fact that a secondary tool is required allows the secondary score to be shallower, and thus more secure than deeper scores that are openable by finger pressure alone. Once the secondary tool is used to fracture the secondary score, a secondary pour opening is produced adjacent to the primary pour opening to form a larger opening. A user may insert materials such as ice or oranges through the enlarged pour opening.

LIQUID PRODUCT PACKAGING CAPS

Liquid product packaging caps with opening plugs are disclosed. The proposed caps comprise dispensing glands and protection meshes attached to the liquid product packaging caps. In examples, when opening, the opening plugs do not touch the liquid content and fold over the liquid product packaging caps, rather than inside them, while at the same time sharp circumferential edge guards prevent users from touching the sharp circumferential edges of the metal plugs. The dispensing glands are released and prevent the liquid from touching potentially contaminated caps of the liquid product packaging which may have been in contact with polluting and contaminating agents. Protection meshes are fitted or secured to dispensing glands which close the packaging holes after they are opened. The protection meshes, apart from the gaps also prevent insects or objects from entering, have pre-selected pre-cut areas to allow users to insert drinking straws into the packaging.

EASY OPEN CLOSURE
20200062445 · 2020-02-27 ·

A metal closure for seaming onto the end of a container, the closure comprising a centre panel defined by a circumferential score, a tab fixed to the panel by a rivet formed in the panel, and two spaced apart, elongate raised beads formed in the panel. The tab has a heel portion radially inside of the rivet and a nose portion radially outside of the rivet and adjacent to a radially inner edge of the score, such that lifting of the heel portion forces the nose portion into contact with a region of the panel adjacent to the radially inner edge of the circumferential score, thereby causing the closure to fracture partially along the score. The beads extend with a circumferential component of direction, and each has an end terminating under the tab radially between the rivet and the score about which the tab may pivot.

Lid for containers of substances and container of substances comprising said lid

A lid for a container made of metal and able to contain a substance, it comprises a closing element defined by a line of incision provided with a front portion, an opening lever disposed astride the line of incision and comprising a fulcrum front end disposed at the front of the front portion, and an intermediate region provided with a flexible tongue attached to the closing element, a mechanical element configured to attach the flexible tongue mechanically to the closing element. The mechanical element is disposed essentially tangent to the front portion of the line of incision.
