The present application discloses a pallet truck backrest assembly for handling half-size pallets. A first half-size pallet support is pivotally coupled to a backrest of the backrest assembly at a first height and a second half-size pallet support is pivotally coupled to the backrest at a second height with the second height being less than the first height. Various components, such as the pillars, upper deck, and lower deck may be webbed-formed structures for enhanced rigidity.
