Adjustable tightening apparatus
A tie to secure items therewithin that can be loosened or released to allow the items to be removed therefrom and the tie to be reused. The tie includes an elongated strap having teeth formed thereon that engage with teeth in a locking head to allow movement in only one direction (tightening). A release pad in conjunction with a backplate enables the teeth in the locking head to be disengaged from the teeth on the elongated strap when the release pad is depressed so that the strap can move in an opposite direction (removal). The release pad and the backplate are configured to face away from the items secured within the strap to provide more room for engagement (e.g., by a user's hand) and provide necessary leverage to release the cable tie without need to press the tie against other items (e.g., cables, chassis).
Wire Management Device and System
The present invention is a wire management device and system comprising a locking head and an elongated strap extending downwardly from a bottom of the locking head and configured to feed through a locking mechanism in the locking head to form a first fixed loop. The elongated strap comprises a length of material, a plurality of stops spaced evenly along the length of material and configured to prevent the elongated strap from moving through the through hole, and a plurality of ridges spaced evenly between the plurality of stops. The locking mechanism is configured to engage the plurality of ridges to allow the elongated strap to move in one direction through the locking mechanism and prevent the elongated strap from moving in an opposite direction. The plurality of stops are configured to prevent the elongated strap from moving further through the locking head.
ARTICULATED DISPOSABLE RESTRAINING DEVICE
In one aspect, a disposable restraint comprises two individual semi-rigid toothed straps, each strap including a head member and a tail member, wherein each head member includes a slot with a toothed socket clasp therein; and wherein the two straps are joined together at the head members thereby forming an articulating joint. In further aspects, methods for forming an articulated disposable handcuff are provided.
SOLENOID HAVING SELECTIVE LATCH FOR SOLENOID-ACTUATED VALVE
A solenoid for a solenoid-actuated valve includes a coil, a flux tube, a pole piece disposed axially from the flux tube and encircled by the coil, a movable armature disposed in the flux tube and the pole piece, and a latch disposed between the flux tube and the pole piece to selectively latch the armature into at least one position.
Securing mechanism
A securing mechanism comprises a supporting column, an elastic piece, and a plurality of locking pieces. When the supporting column is inserted into a hole, at least one of the plurality of locking pieces is caught by or brought into pressure-contact with an outlet-side peripheral portion of the hole or an inner circumferential portion of the hole. The plurality of locking pieces form a plurality of arrays extending in a projection direction of the supporting column. The locking pieces included in each array of the plurality of arrays are aligned spaced apart from one another in the projection direction of the supporting column. The plurality of arrays comprise a first array and a second array; positions of the locking pieces in the first array are displaced from positions of the corresponding locking pieces in the second array in the projection direction of the supporting column.
LASHING BELT
A lashing belt comprises a belt body having a fixed end and a free end and a fixed part connected with the fixed end of the belt body. The fixed part comprises a first head portion including a first snap hole and a first snap disposed in the first snap hole and a second head portion including a second snap hole and a second snap disposed in the second snap hole. The belt body comprises a plurality of skew teeth on a surface of the belt body, the first and second snaps respectively comprise a plurality of ratchets, and the axes of the first and second snap holes are parallel with each other.
High strength blind installation hose and cable clamp retainer
A retainer has a first ratcheting receiver that engages a strap in a one way ratcheting relationship that allows a free end of the strap to be passed through the first ratcheting receiver and a shank to be thereby pulled toward the first ratcheting receiver but not drawn away therefrom. The first ratcheting receiver backs an extension post protruding from the retainer such that the shank is sized to pass through an opening in a wall but is prevented from being withdrawn from the opening when the retainer is urged against the wall such that the extension post occupies at least a portion of the opening. A second ratcheting receiver is affixed to the retainer and receives the free end of the strap for securing a load to the retainer after the shank has been urged toward the first ratcheting receiver to secure the retainer to the wall.
MODULAR SWIVELING STRAP TIE SYSTEM
A strap tie includes a body including a receiving channel and a strap engagement member. The receiving channel extends through the body. The receiving channel is configured to receive a remote strap. The engagement member is configured to engage a movement restriction member of the remote strap to prevent translation of the remote strap away from the body. The strap extends from the body. The strap includes a proximal end attached to the body, a distal end opposite the proximal end, and a plurality of movement restriction members. The rotational element of the body is configured to removably couple to a base to allow the strap tie to rotate relative to the base.
Flush cut tie device
A flush cut tie device facilitates flush trimming of excess after securing a tie device. The device includes a tie and a channel coupled to a first end of the tie. A projection is positioned in an interior of the channel. A plurality of ridges is positioned in spaced relationship along a length of the tie wherein one of the ridges is engaged by the projection when a second end of the tie is extended through the channel. A pair of grooves extends into opposite exterior faces of the channel wherein the grooves are positioned for facilitating engagement of clippers to the channel and cutting an end portion of the channel and the tie from a main portion of the channel. Thus, a cut end of the tie is flush with the main portion of the channel when the end portion of the channel is clipped.
Fastener with embedded identifier circuit
A fastener with a head element that is coupled to a strip element is disclosed. The strip element is configured to fasten to the head element via an attachment structure of the head element. An identification device is molded into the fastener. The identification device has an identifier integrated circuit (IC) within an IC package and an antenna, having a portion internal to the IC package and a portion extending out of the IC package, coupled to the identifier IC.
