Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging a plurality of articles and to a blank for forming the carrier. The carton comprises plurality of panels including a side panel and a heel panel hingedly connected to the side panel by a fold line. The carton comprises a plurality of bottom-receiving openings including first and second openings. Each of the first and second openings is formed in part in the side panel and in part in a heel panel. The first opening has a first maximum width measured along a notional line parallel to the fold line. The second opening has a second maximum width measured along a notional extension of the fold line. The second maximum width is greater than the first maximum width.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging one or more article and a blank for forming the carton. An aspect of the invention provides a corner folding arrangement comprising a first panel (18) having a corner defined by an end edge and a side edge. A second panel (32b) is hingedly connected to the end edge of the first panel along a first fold line. A third panel (20) hingedly connected to the side edge of the first panel along a second fold line. A fourth (34b) and fifth (36b) panel couple the second panel to the third panel. The fourth panel is hingedly connected to the second panel along a third fold line and the fifth panel is hingedly connected to the third panel along a fourth fold line. A severance line (70) extends between the first and fourth fold lines or between the second and third fold lines. In an unfolded blank form the severance line bypasses a notional intersection of the first and second fold lines such that the notional intersection is located on one side of the severance line spaced apart from the fourth and fifth panels.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging one or more article and a blank for forming the carton. An aspect of the invention provides an article-retaining device for receiving and engaging a portion of an article. The article-retaining device comprises an opening and a deformable member. The opening is defined at least in part in the second panel and the deformable member is formed from at least part of the second panel. The deformable member extends continuously across the opening such that the deformable member is connected at its opposite side edges to the second panel by first and second joints respectively. The deformable member is further connected at an adjacent end edge to the second panel by a third joint.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to an article carrier (90) for packaging a plurality of articles and to a blank (10) for forming the article carrier. The article carrier comprises a plurality of primary panels (12,14,16,18) for forming a tubular structure and defining an interior thereof. The plurality of primary panels includes a first panel (12) and a second panel (14) opposing the first panel. The article carrier further comprises a partition structure for dividing the interior into two or more article-receiving cells. The carrier is formed form a blank comprising a partition-forming section (PS) which comprises a primary partition panel (22,24) and a secondary partition panel (40,44,36,46) formed from the primary partition panel and hingedly connected at one of the opposing ends thereof to the primary partition panel. The upper edge (E1) of the secondary partition panel is defined at least in part by a cutaway (R1) extending from a free end edge (E3) of the blank.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a package, an article carrier, and a blank (810) for forming the article carrier. An aspect of the invention provides an article carrier comprising a plurality of primary panels (812,814,816) at least partially extending around an interior of the article carrier. The plurality of primary panels comprises a first side panel (812), a top panel (814), a second side pane (816)1 and at least one bottom paneljoined together to form a tubular structure having first and second opposed open ends. The article carrier comprises a carrying handle (H) including a handle feature defined in at least the top panel and a foldable handle structure (HS) having opposed connecting panels and a handle strap. The handle strap extends (882) between the connecting panels.

A fully enclosed carton for carrying heavy loads with a reinforcement insert for the handle apertures located in the top end flaps of the carton. The paperboard reinforcing insert may be extended as a bridge across the top panel of the carton to prevent tearing of the handle apertures in the top end flaps and also tearing in the top panel of the carton when carrying a heavy load. The carton may have one or more dispensers in the top panel which may extend into an adjoining side panel. Multiple tear lines may be formed for the dispenser flap in the insert that extends across the top panel to permit easy access to the containers, such as bottles, in the carton. The paperboard reinforcing insert may have a larger aperture than the handle aperture in each top end flap to adjust for any imprecision in the alignment of the paperboard insert in forming the carton sleeve from the paperboard blank. When the paperboard insert extends across the top panel and one or more dispensers are formed in the top panel, multiple tear lines may be used to form the flaps in the insert to compensate for any imprecision in the insertion of the insert that extends across the top panel into the carton sleeve when it is being formed.

A carton (102) for packaging one or more articles (B) includes a plurality of walls including atop wall (142), a bottom wall (132), at least two vertical walls (112, 114) and a curved corner (113) between the vertical walls. An internal buttress structure (156) adjacent the top wall provides a curved support edge located apart from the top wall and providing a support edge for the curved corner. A handle strap (266) may be provided in the top wall.

A carrier (190, 90) comprising a plurality of main panels (18, 20, 22, 24, 26) forming outer walls and defining an interior chamber, the plurality of main panels comprise a first side panel (20, 120), a second side panel (24, 124), first end panel (18, 118), second end panel (64, 164), third end panel (70, 170) and fourth end panel (82, 182). The first and fourth end panels form a composite end wall of the carrier. The second and third end walls form a second composite end wall of the carrier. The second end wall is hingedly connected to the third end wall by a first fold line (21, 121). The interior chamber is divided into two or more cells by a partition structure. The partition structure comprises a first handle panel (14, 114) hingedly connected along a first side edge to an end panel.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to an article carrier for packaging a plurality of flanged articles, a blank for forming the article carrier. The article carrier comprises a plurality of primary panels for forming a tubular structure and defining an interior thereof. The plurality of primary panels includes a first panel and a second panel opposing the first panel. The article carrier further comprises a partition structure for dividing the interior into two or more article-receiving cells. The partition structure is formed from the first panel and comprises a lateral partition panel. The lateral partition panel is hingedly connected at a proximal end to the first panel by a proximal end fold line and is hingedly connected at a distal end to a glue panel by a distal end joint. The distal end joint between the lateral partition panel and the glue panel comprises a twistable strip extending between and joined with the lateral partition panel and the glue panel.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging one or more article and a blank for forming the carton. The carton comprises a plurality of panels forming walls of a tubular structure including a top wall, a first side wall, a base wall, and a second side wall. The carton comprises a carrying handle having at least one handle panel hingedly connected at a proximal end thereof to one of the plurality of panels. The hinged connection is interrupted by at least one cut line defining a tab. The tab is struck from one of a portion of the one of the plurality of panels. The tab is integral with the at least one handle panel and extends from the hinged connection internally of the carton when in use.
