Pouring spout for bag packaging
An injection molded pourer for a pouch pack. The injection molded pourer includes an inner pouring channel having a pouring spout arranged at an upper end of the inner pouring channel and a boat-shaped weld-in portion which surrounds a lower end of the inner pouring channel, and an injection molding gate arranged on an outside. The pouring spout can be closed with a cap. The boat-shaped weld-in portion has boat-shaped ribs which are arranged parallel to one another and which have a gap there-between. A plastic melt can be pressed into the injection molding gate. The plastic melt includes a main plastic material, and a second plastic material which forms an oxygen barrier.
Method for sealing a fitment to a flexible container and flexible container comprising a fitment
The present disclosure provides a method for sealing a fitment to a flexible container. In an embodiment, the method includes placing a fitment into the neck of a four panel flexible container formed from flexible film. The process includes complementarily aligning a multiseal around a base of the fitment. The process includes providing a plurality of primary seals (and flaps), secondary seals, and tertiary seals onto the base with respective primary sealing jaws, secondary sealing jaws, and tertiary sealing jaws to form the multiseal, wherein the secondary seals overlap the primary seals, and the tertiary seals overlap the primary seals and the secondary seals.

A dispensing system for a flexible bag including a spout having a body, a plug and a first and second flexible coupling. The body includes a central bore extending therethrough, with a lower ring wall at a lower end. The plug has a cavity and plug ring wall attachable to the lower ring wall in sealed engagement. The first flexible coupling and the second flexible coupling each being formed from a base web and extending from the lower end of the body. A first arm is coupled to the base web at a first hinge. A second arm is coupled to the first arm opposite the base web at a central hinge. The plug is coupled to the second arm opposite the first arm at a plug hinge. A probe is likewise disclosed that is insertable into a flexible bag, as is a flexible bag assembly and method.

A beverage preparation capsule containing a beverage preparation ingredient, having a body with side walls formed from one or more substantially air- and liquid-impermeable sheet materials defining a chamber containing a beverage preparation ingredient and further defining an outlet channel having an upstream end in fluid communication with the chamber for escape of beverage from the chamber. At least a region of the outlet channel is filled by a filtration material for filtering the beverage escaping from the chamber. Also provided is a clamp assembly for preparing a beverage from such a capsule, the clamp assembly comprising two or more clamp members, wherein an inner wall of at least one of the clamp members comprises a concave base surface for receiving the capsule and one or more pressure pads projecting from the concave base surface for selectively constricting a region of the capsule.

A flexible pouch and a method for making a flexible pouch is provided. The pouch includes a pouch body defined by a peripheral edge. A dividing seal is disposed between opposite ends of the flexible pouch so as to define two pouch spaces. The pouch includes two fitments are mounted to a respective pouch space. One of the fitments is configured to support the pouch body in an upright manner. A method for making said flexible includes forming a flexible pouch having an open top. A dividing seal extends from the open top to the bottom of the pouch so as to define two pouch openings and two pouch spaces. Substances are introduced into the pouch spaces by a first nozzle and a second nozzle inserted into a respective first space and second space and filling the pouch body through the first and second nozzle.

The closing element (28) has a second portion (72) for being non-removably affixed to the body (24) and a movable connecting element (76) extending between the first portion (68) and the second portion (72). The closing element (28) has an unactuated configuration wherein a major portion (78) of the length of the connecting element (76) is located laterally between the inner wall (80) and the outer wall (96) to shield the major portion (78) of the length of the connecting element (76).

A spout for a pouch that includes a rigid spout body and a soft cover externally coating a tube of the spout body is provided. The tube is threaded internally. A cap includes a tang with an external thread for screwing onto the spout.
METHOD OF PRODUCING HYDROGEN WATER
A process of producing hydrogen water includes the steps of: providing a source of spring water; cooling the water to a temperature of from 33 to 38 degrees F.; providing a source of hydrogen gas; contacting the cooled water with the hydrogen gas in a venturi injector forming micro-sized hydrogen bubbles in the water and diffusing hydrogen gas into the cooled water; recirculating the water through the venturi injector until a predetermined hydrogen content in the water is realized forming hydrogen water having a hydrogen content of from 3 to 10 parts per million.

The invention relates to a pack (100) for the preparation of a food or beverage product comprising an insert (10) and a container (20), the container (20) being configured by at least one sheet folded in such a way to configure a container where the ingredients for the food or beverage product are stored, the water to extract and/or infuse and/or dissolve and/or reconstitute the ingredients in the container (20) and to prepare the food or beverage product being introduced through the insert (10), the food or beverage product once prepared being also dispensed through this insert (10), the pack (100) presenting a generally plane shape and being essentially vertically oriented during food or beverage production with the insert (10) arranged at the lower side of the pack (100) so the water is supplied into the volume of the container in an upward direction; such that the insert (10) is a part that is arranged connected externally to the container (20). Typically, the insert (10) is a part that is arranged externally and connected to the container (20), the insert (10) is tightly sealed and/or glued to the container (20). The invention further relates to the use of a pack (100) as the one described for preparing a food or beverage product and further relates to a method for preparing a food or beverage product using such a pack (100).
