A paper or other fibrous container is capable of maintaining a consistent gas level after sealing, as well as having sufficient stiffness to carry liquids and other heavy materials as well as light weigh materials such as medication and supplements. Preferred embodiments include a fibrous outer sleeve having an inwardly directed curled edge, a first metal sleeve positioned inward of the fibrous outer sleeve, and a bottom piece having a top metal layer. The bottom piece is preferably disposed intermediate the inwardly directed curled edge and the first metal sleeve. A first adhesive is preferably disposed intermediate the bottom piece and the first metal sleeve, and a second adhesive is preferably disposed intermediate the bottom piece and the inwardly directed curled edge.

A blank (10) for forming a cup comprises opposing first and second surfaces (12, 14); opposing first and second side edges (16, 20); opposing top and bottom edges (24, 26); a rim portion (28) extending across the top edge; and an edge tape (30) extending along the first side edge (16) from the bottom edge (26) toward the top edge (24), with the edge tape (30) folded over such that the edge tape extends along the first surface (12) and second surface (14). The first side edge (16) extends such that the edge tape (30) folds over onto itself in at least part of the rim portion.

A blank (10) for forming a cup comprises opposing first and second surfaces (12, 14); opposing first and second side edges (16, 20); opposing top and bottom edges (24, 26); a rim portion (28) extending across the top edge; and an edge tape (30) extending along the first side edge (16) from the bottom edge (26) toward the top edge (24), with the edge tape (30) folded over such that the edge tape extends along the first surface (12) and second surface (14). The first side edge (16) extends such that the edge tape (30) folds over onto itself in at least part of the rim portion.

A container for holding a fluid is disclosed. The container comprises an inner sleeve having a first opening and a second opening opposite the first opening, and an outer sleeve having a third opening and a fourth opening opposite the third opening. The inner sleeve and the outer sleeve are made of paper. The first opening has a first reinforcing element which extends into the first opening, and the third opening has a second reinforcing element which extends into the third opening. Further, the container comprises a functional insert. The outer sleeve has a larger diameter than the inner sleeve so that the inner sleeve is insertable into the outer sleeve through the fourth opening such that the insert is fastened between the first reinforcing element and the second reinforcing element.

A truncated-cone-shaped container body for a truncated-cone-shaped drum for packaging has an upper edge delimiting an upper inlet mouth. The upper edge has a first folded portion projecting outwardly with respect to a lateral wall of the truncated-cone-shaped container body. The first folded portion is in one piece with the lateral wall. The first folded portion serves as a support for a lid and allows stackability of a plurality of drums one inside the other. The truncated-cone-shaped container body is made of kraft fibre. A truncated-cone-shaped packaging drum has the truncated-cone-shaped container body, a bottom, a lid, and a clamping collar for fastening the lid to the truncated-cone-shaped container body.
