Produce Container
An embodiment includes a bag comprising mesh and film side walls and a reinforcing strip of film; wherein (a) the mesh side wall is sealed to opposing side edges of the film side wall; (b) the reinforcing strip of film is sealed to an upper portion of the mesh side wall and to the opposing side edges of the film side wall; (c) the film side wall has a bottom extension, which is monolithic with the film side wall, extending upwardly and sealed along a lateral extent of a bottom portion of the mesh side wall; (d) the film side wall is non-coplanar with a portion of the bottom extension; (e) another portion of the bottom extension is non-coplanar with the mesh side wall; and (f) a horizontal axis intersects the bottom portion of the film side wall and three portions of the bottom extension.
Bag closure clip
A closure clip for maintaining a bag closed is provided. The clip includes a planar body having a symmetry axis. The planar body defines a rear portion having a frontward border, a rearward border and lateral borders, a pair of shoulders, each extending outwardly and along one of the lateral borders and a pair of tabs projecting from the frontward border frontwardly and towards the symmetry axis, the tabs having free front extremities curving towards each other, the tabs and a portion of the frontward border delimiting an opening for receiving a portion of the bag. The planar body has a perimeter comprising an inflection point provided on each side of the symmetry axis, at a transition between one of the shoulders and a corresponding one of the tabs. The clip can include a displaying label projecting rearwardly from the rearward border. A strip of closure clips is also provided.
Closure article with auxiliary fastener
In one aspect, an article is configured to close a first product and attach to a second product. The article includes a tag and a fastener. The tag has a perimeter. The tag includes an aperture and a first cut connecting the aperture and the perimeter. The aperture and first cut are configured to accept a portion of the first product. The fastener is connected to the tag at a joint, wherein the fastener is configured to attach to the second product.
System and Method for Bag Closure Clip Production
A system is configured to produce a series of printed clips. The system includes a source of web material, a cutting station, a drive assembly and a printing station. The web material is configured to pass through the system in a machine direction. The cutting station is configured to cut a first portion of the web material into at least a first clip, index the first portion after cutting, and sequentially cut a second portion of the web material into at least a second clip. Cut portions of the web material exit the cutting station in a free loop. A drive assembly is configured to feed web material of the free loop through the printing station at a web speed. The printing station is configured to print indicia on a first surface of the cut portions of the web material.
Bag-sealing device
A mechanical elastic device is provided and designed for the closing and opening of bags manufactured from flexible material an indefinite number of times via the pressure exerted by this device (through taking the form of a Fermat's spiral) on the area of contact with the bag inserted into the same. The elastic device is operated by positioning the part of the bag to be fastened inside an interior space of the spiral and then aligning two hooks provided on the surfaces of the elastic device until they lock together, thus producing a reduction in the interior space of the spiral and, as a result, this part of the bag is tightened to remain hermetically sealed. The elastic device is opened by simply releasing the joined hooks with an external force, so the spiral will then return to its relaxed position and the bag can be extracted from the elastic device.
Biodegradable polystyrene composites and use thereof
Disclosed herein are biodegradable resinous composite and extruded sheets comprising polystyrene and a thermoplastic amorphous starch and use thereof.
BAG FASTENER FOR FLEXIBLE BAGS
The disclosed fastener for pliable food bags consists of a conical-shaped base that tapers into a round, slotted top section that is open at both ends. The device contains a slotted opening that allows for a segment of flexible bag material to be secured within the slotted section. The slotted opening extends across the length of the device and contains a protruding notch to hold plastic bags in place.
