A METHOD OF FORMING A CLOSURE
A method of forming a bi-injected closure, comprising the steps of: forming a cap with a top plate and a depending sidewall, in a first injection moulding phase using a first mould part, the cap formed so as to include one or more external sealing areas; changing the first mould part for a second mould part, the second mould part sealing against the or each sealing area on the cap; and forming an outer ring around the cap sidewall whilst the second mould part is sealed against the sealing area/s in a second moulding phase.
Containers and closures
A closure may have a top wall and a side wall depending from the top wall. A plug seal device may depend from said top wall within the side wall. The plug seal device may have an upper section, a lower section, and a sealing section proximate the boundary between the upper section and the lower section. The sealing section is operable such that when the plug seal device is inserted in an opening to an inner cavity in a container, the sealing section engages with an inner container surface to provide a seal between an inner cavity of the container and the external environment.
Closure cap for a device for packaging a product, notably a cosmetic product
The closure cap for a container comprises an internal skirt (16) comprising a bore (16b) provided with at least one helical screw thread (19) for screwing said cap onto the container, an external skirt (18) radially surrounding said internal skirt at least partially, and a front wall (14) from which said internal and external skirts extend. The cap is produced by moulding at least one synthetic material. At least one recess (30) is formed on an outer surface (16a) of the internal skirt, remaining axially away from a front end face (16c) of said skirt.
Ventilated lid for insulated container
A lid for an insulated container comprises a flexible gasket configured to facilitate a seal between the lid and an inner wall of the insulated container, and further configured to expand into an interior compartment of the insulated container responsive to a vacuum developing in the interior compartment. A diaphragm chamber is situated opposite the flexible gasket from the interior compartment when the lid is fully engaged with the insulated container. One or more air channels couple the diaphragm chamber to an exterior of the lid. The development of a vacuum in the interior compartment of the insulated container draws a force on the flexible gasket, thereby reducing pressure in the diaphragm chamber. The negative pressure in diaphragm chamber is back-filled with external air, which enters the lid via the air channels. The lid may then be removed without excessive vacuum forces.
Low weight closure having an improved gripping surface
A closure includes a top panel and a corner section connecting an outer periphery of the top panel with a downwardly extending annular skirt. A plurality of gently curved ridges are spaced about the outer perimeter of the closure. The ridges generally extend from a lower portion of the skirt and around the corner section, with the upper ends of the ridges terminating proximate the top panel outer periphery. A plurality of knurls extend radially outwards from the midpoints of the ridges along the skirt of the closure. The configuration, arrangement, and spacing of the ridges and knurls about the closure provide an enhanced grip and feel, allowing for easier twist-off of the closure from a container. The closure may be used interchangeably with existing capping chucks used to apply conventional closures without requiring any modification to the capping chucks to apply the closures to containers during a capping process.
Closure devices
A closure for sealingly closing a container neck having a tubular body with a top wall, an annular side wall, an intermediate wall joining the side wall to the top wall and an annular tamper evidence band frangibly connected to an open end described by the side wall. The band includes retaining cams protruding from its inner surface. Each cam has a lead-in ramp for engaging, in use, the flange of a container neck as the neck is introduced into the open end of the body and a stop for engaging the flange to separate the band from the body when the closure is subsequently removed from the neck. Each lead-in ramp has a central recess therein.
ASSEMBLY COMPOSED OF A CONTAINER FOR A FLUID AND A DISPENSER PACKAGING
The present invention relates to an assembly composed of a container for a fluid and a dispenser packaging which makes it possible to receive said container and envelop it, at least partially, said container comprising a dispenser and at least one flexible wall, the container being suitable for dispensing said fluid by means of the dispenser by deforming said at least one flexible wall, the dispenser packaging being suitable so that at least part of said at least one flexible wall is accessible from outside of said dispenser packaging when the container is placed inside said dispenser packaging.
SPOUT STOPPER AND PACKAGING CONTAINER
Provided are a spout stopper that prevents a decrease in sealing performance to a cap without deterioration of liquid-shutting-off performance of a stopper body, and a packaging container using the spout stopper. The spout stopper includes: a stopper body including a cylindrical side wall; and a cap to be mounted from an upper end side that is one end of the side wall. A projection is formed at an upper end edge of the side wall so as to project outward from the side wall, and a top surface at an upper end of the side wall is in surface contact with a predetermined contact surface inside a cap over an entire circumference thereof in a state where the cap is mounted on the side wall.
CLOSURE, COMBINATION CONTAINER AND CLOSURE SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
The present application is directed to a closure for a container having a generally annular neck defining a container opening having a central axis, the closure including: an annular top wall having opposed inner and outer surfaces; a generally annular skirt extending downwardly from the inner surface of the top wall, the generally annular skirt having opposed outer and inner surfaces; and an elastic annular seal member extending downwardly from an inner surface of the top wall, the annular seal member adapted to engage the inner surface of the neck of the container.
