The lid includes a body having a top surface and a bottom surface, the top surface includes a groove therein separating an inner portion and an outer portion. The lid also includes a flexible skirt integrally joined to and carried by the outer periphery edge of the body. The groove defines a flexible zone which permits the flexible skirt to flip between a first position and a second position. The method of using the lid includes the step of positioning the lid with the flexible skirt in a second position above an open end of a container. The method further includes the step of securing the lid and the container together by moving the flexible skirt from the second position to a first position to cause engagement of the flexible skirt with the container thereby forming a removable attachment and a substantial seal between the lid and the container.

A stopper for use with a container containing liquids, solids, or gases. The stopper includes a main body. The main body includes an upper portion. The upper portion has a diameter greater than a diameter of an opening of the container. The stopper also includes a flexible sheath affixed to the stopper. The sheath can be rolled down an exterior surface of the container to facilitate a seal of the container. In addition, the main body includes an annular groove sized and shaped to retain the sheath when rolled up. In one embodiment the present invention may include a lower portion having a plug sized and shaped to fit within the opening of the container to prevent liquids, solids, or gases contained in the container from exiting the opening.

In accordance with one implementation, an apparatus for retaining moisture in a cork can include: a top wall; a roundish sidewall coupled with the top wall; an open-end portion of the roundish sidewall; wherein the open-end portion of the roundish sidewall is at the opposite end of the sidewall from the top wall; wherein the top wall and the roundish sidewall forms a closed-ended tube; wherein the shape of the closed-ended tube is adapted to be coupled with as well as removed from a re-corked bottle in a reusable manner; wherein the shape of the closed-ended tube is adapted to retain moisture in a cork of the re-corked bottle by forming a seal with the re-corked bottle when disposed on the re-corked bottle.

A cap device and method for covering openings of different sizes on a structure, such as for example smoking apparatus, are provided. The cap device comprises a cap having at least one elastic portion or area that is stretchable over an opening of the smoking apparatus to form a seal over the apparatus opening, which for smoking devices, can seal the opening to contain a cleaning solution within the smoking apparatus. The cap has grasping portions for a user to hold it simultaneously while stretching it over an opening on a smoking device. The cap device is easily removable when the cleaning is completed, and the opening of the structure no longer needs to be covered.
