Lightweight polymeric container finish
A polymeric container including a base, a body, a finish, finish threads, and a tamper lip. The finish threads are at an outer surface of the finish, and are configured to cooperate with closure threads of a closure to secure the closure to the finish. The tamper lip extends from the outer surface of the finish, and is configured to replace the support flange during handling, and to cooperate with a tamper band of the closure. A recess is below the tamper lip. The recess retains the tamper band below the tamper lip when the closure is removed from cooperation with the finish. A gripper groove between the finish threads, the gripper groove configured to cooperate with a gripper for grasping the finish.

A gripper ring is between the finish threads and the tamper lip. The gripper ring is configured to cooperate with a gripper for grasping the finish.
Closure with tamper-evident band
A closure (8) with tamper-evident band (40) includes a fixed band (42, 142) and a movable body (50). The fixed band (42, 142), with tamper-evident band inviolate, is joined to the movable body (50) by a weakened portion (52, 152) The tamper-evident band (40) also includes a tamper-evident ring (70, 170) housed, with the tamper-evident band inviolate, in an inner compartment of the closure (8) to be hidden from view. The weakened portion (52, 152) tears due to the unscrewing of the closure (8) and the tamper-evident ring (70,170) pops out of the inner compartment and is arranged, with the seal violated, so as to separate a fixed edge (49, 149) of the fixed band (42, 142) from a movable edge (51, 151) of the movable body (50).
CONTAINER CLOSURE
A plastic container closure has a screw cap with a cylindrical casing having an internal screw thread and a lid disc adjoining the casing, a security ring connected by first break-off webs to a free edge of the casing and a holding ring in the region of the container neck. The security ring has slots distributed over its circumference and each have a top edge and a bottom edge, wherein the top edge is formed by a section of the security ring that extends in the shape of a circular arc. The bottom edge is formed by a wall section that is inclined inwards in a radial direction. The bottom edge of each slot engages in a form-fitting manner with the holding ring.
CONTAINER CLOSURE
A container closure for a pour opening of a container has a first holding strip with a first and a The first end is connected to a free edge of the screw cap and a second end is connected to a security ring. A second holding strip has a third end connected to the free edge of the screw cap and a fourth end connected to the security ring. The first, second, third and fourth ends are arranged one after the other in the-acircumferential direction on the free edge and on the security ring. A first tongue has a first end and a second tongue has a second tongue end and adjoining the first tongue and is arranged between the second and the third ends. The second tongue is part of the security ring and, in an open position, the first tongue end comes into contact with the second tongue end.
Screw capping device intended to remain tethered to a container after opening of the container
Screw capping devices are configured to remain tethered to a container after opening of the container. The screw capping devices include a cylindrical wall having a section having an end closed by a bottom and a section having an open end, the section being connected to the section by a circumferential junction having a non-breakable connection and a breakable connection, the section further having a breakable connection extending parallel to the circumferential junction, the breakable connection and the breakable connection being configured to be broken during a first unscrewing of the section. The breaking of the breakable connections creates two arms retaining the section to the container.
A METHOD OF FORMING A CLOSURE
A method of forming a bi-injected closure, comprising the steps of: forming a cap with a top plate and a depending sidewall, in a first injection moulding phase using a first mould part, the cap formed so as to include one or more external sealing areas; changing the first mould part for a second mould part, the second mould part sealing against the or each sealing area on the cap; and forming an outer ring around the cap sidewall whilst the second mould part is sealed against the sealing area/s in a second moulding phase.
A gripper pad is between the finish threads and the tamper lip. The gripper pad is configured to cooperate with a gripper for grasping the finish.
Secure sample collection bottle
A secure specimen sample bottle includes a base container for receiving a specimen. The base container has a plurality of locking protrusions formed along an inner surface of the base receptacle. A bottle includes a lock ring that has an upright spire structure that has a closed top end and the opposing open bottom end including a plurality of flexible fins that are configured to interlockingly mate with the locking protrusions so as to prevent removal of the lock ring relative to the base container upon engagement of the flexible fins to the locking protrusions. A removable cap is coupled to the lock ring.
THREADED TAMPER EVIDENCE FINISH AND CLOSURE FOR CONTAINER
A tamper evidence closure is provided for rotatably engaging with a finish of a container to seal contents within the interior of the container. A multiplicity of thin connections attach a tamper evidence band to a circumference of the tamper evidence closure. A segmented cam extends around the circumference of the tamper evidence band. An angled lower surface of the cam facilitates passing the tamper evidence band over a tamper evidence ledge of the finish during assembly of the tamper evidence closure onto the container. An upper surface of the cam engages with the tamper evidence ledge to break the thin connections and retain the tamper evidence band positioned on the finish during loosening of the tamper evidence closure. Multiple overhang portions above the cam press against an upper portion of the tamper evidence ledge to ensure that the tamper evidence band remains engaged with the tamper evidence ledge.
