Tamper-evident closures

A tamper-evident closure for a container is provided. The closure comprises a base attachable to a container neck. The base comprises a sidewall having a tamper-evident drop band, the band including an abutment for engaging the container neck to cause the band to break away from the sidewall if an attempt is made to remove the closure from the neck once fitted. The band further comprises an extension against which the sidewall pushes if the closure is reapplied to push the band away from the base. The extension extends only part of the way around the band.

The present invention provides a cup lid that utilizes fracturing lines to form a novel drinking spout, a cover piece, and a connection part. These fracturing lines include a press-down fracturing line defines a press-down part and a raised fracturing line defines a raised part. The press-down part and the raised part have an overlap area due to the width difference, and the press-down part and the raised part open in opposite. The press-down part and the raised part are transformed as the cover piece and the overlapped area as a connection part. The cover piece can be fixed on the cup plate by using their width difference or clamp structure.

BOTTLE CAP WITH A FLIP LID

A bottle cap with a flip top is provided that allows easier access to contents of a bottle than conventional twist-off caps. The bottle cap can be made from plastic materials including PET, HDPE, LDPE, or polypropylene. The cap includes a hole through its top surface, and a flip top that conforms to the shape of the hole and can be attached to the cap body by a flexible hinge. The perimeters of the flip top and the opening are provided with a plurality of ridges that interlock to form a mechanical seal when the flip top is pressed down. The area-to-perimeter ratio of the cap opening can be less than about 3/16 inches, to provide a seal that resists internal pressure from carbonated beverages. The cap can be affixed to a bottle using screw threads, an interlocking clamp, or adhesives. Tamper-resistant seals can also be provided on the cap.

SINGLE-USE FOOD PREPARATION CONTAINER ASSEMBLIES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A single-use product preparation container assembly including a cup body and a cup closure assembly configured for removable operative engagement with the cup body, the cup closure assembly including a mechanically externally rotatably drivable rotary product engagement assembly for engaging an at least partially liquefiable product located within the cup body and a liquid retaining chamber configured to receive liquid leaked from the cup body via the mechanically externally rotatably drivable rotary product engagement assembly and including a vent allowing egress of air from the liquid retaining chamber.

Single-use food preparation container assemblies, systems and methods

A product preparation system and method for processing a container including a cup body and a cup closure assembly configured for removable operative engagement with the cup body, the cup closure assembly including a hinged spout cover and a user-removable multi-function restricting portion integrally formed as part of the cup closure assembly and detachable therefrom, the user-removable multi-function restricting portion being operative, when integrally attached to the cup closure assembly to prevent normal user opening of the hinged spout cover.

Tamper-evident closures

A tamper-evident screw closure (1) is provided and comprises: a head plate (2); a substantially cylindrical skirt (3) having an internal screw thread (4); and a tamper-evident drop band (11), the band being frangibly connected to the lower edge of the skirt. The band comprises a first portion (12) directed downwardly from the cap skirt and a second portion (14) which extends from the lower end of the first portion and which is folded over inwardly and back in the direction of the head plate for engaging behind a securing ring on a container neck. At least one extension (15) is provided in axial extension of the second portion. The extension is provided with one or more notches (18) and the interior of the skirt is provided with one or more corresponding projections (20) which locate in the notches when the second portion is folded. Wherein when the closure is unscrewed the skirt breaks away from the band, and when the skirt is reapplied to the container neck the projections can push on the extension to ensure that the band drops away from the skirt.

One Piece Oversize Tab Closure

A one piece oversize tab closure and process for manufacturing thereof is described. The tab trim process includes punching, cutting, pre-positioning the plastic with cylinder or mechanical rocking levers, or using heating to flex the plastic for trimming and repositioning the tab. By heating or flattening the tab or window, the size of the tab is larger relative to the size of the window of the closure.
