ADJUSTABLE ADDITIVE DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND DISPENSING CLOSURE VALVES FOR THE SAME
A mixing cartridge delivery system, which mixes additive with base liquid flowing through it, utilizes a dispensing closure valve to achieve improved flow of mixed liquid from the cartridge. A closure base may include a tethered lid. A flexible valve, such as a slit valve, is supported on a valve supporting end of the closure base and retained thereon with a valve retainer that interlocks with the closure base. The system may include a one-way valve for base liquid and a mixing section defined in the cartridge. The dispensing closure valve achieves improved flow characteristics in combination with the base liquid valve. The dispensing closure valve also prevents leakage and inadvertent discharge from the cartridge system.
CONTAINER CLOSURE FOR A CONTAINER
An aspect of the invention provides a container closure for a container comprising a body portion having a first end configured for attachment to a container and a second end configured to allow content of the container to exit the container closure, a reservoir positioned within the body portion between the first and second ends thereof and an actuable seal that is moveable between a first configuration in which the reservoir is sealed and a second configuration in which the actuable seal is moved in the direction of the second end of the body portion to create a gap between the actuable seal and second end of the body portion, wherein the actuable seal is moveable between the first configuration and second configuration by a plunger extending from the first end of the body portion to the second end of the body portion and wherein the actuable seal engages a surface of the reservoir when in the first configuration.
Dispenser
In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to dispensers. In some embodiments, a dispenser comprises a main body assembly including an outer wall and an inner wall, the inner wall defining an aperture through the main body, a seal, wherein the seal is affixed to the main body and encloses a lower portion of the aperture, a button seated within the aperture and configured to be manipulable between a first position and a second position, and a container housed within the button and configured to store a material, wherein when the button is in the second position the container contacts the seal to allow the material to exit the dispenser.
Scent delivery and preservation systems and methods for beverage containers
Disclosed are devices, systems and methods for controlling scent delivery by a scented article for beverage containers. In some aspects, a scent delivery system includes a cap attachable to a beverage container; and a scented article that couples to the cap, wherein the cap comprises a base, a movable component coupled to the base and able to move between a first position and a second position, and a scent chamber including an encasement to which the scented article is attached, the encasement coupled to the movable component or the base, wherein a portion of the scented article is exposed to air from an outside environment with respect to the cap when the movable component is in the second position, and wherein the encasement creates a contact seal to enclose the scented article within the scent chamber and lock in the scent when the movable component is in the first position.
ADJUSTABLE ADDITIVE DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An additive delivery system may incorporate a cartridge system, including a container cap and a reservoir assembly that provides for storage of an additive. The container cap includes a mixing nozzle for mixing of the additive with a base fluid as the base fluid flows from the base fluid container through the cartridge. A one-way valve prevents backflow of base fluid and/or mixed base fluid/additive from an area downstream of the mixing nozzle such that the base fluid supply remains in a pure state.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLED CONTAINER HEADSPACE ADJUSTMENT
In some embodiments, a sealing and pressure dosing apparatus may be provided. The sealing and pressure dosing apparatus may include a sealing machine having one or more of a driven turret, a sealing head, a pressure sealing member, and a pressure sealing chamber. The sealing and pressure dosing apparatus may also include a pressure dosing system which may be integrated with the sealing machine.
Beverage Container with Push Sealing Arrangement
A beverage container includes a container body, a lid having a support panel, and a push sealing arrangement. The push sealing arrangement includes a cover assembly, a main shaft and a sealing piece. The cover assembly includes a first cover. The sealing piece includes a second cover positioned underneath the first cover and the access opening. The cover assembly is arranged to move between an opened position and a closed position. In the closed position, the cover assembly is slid to drive the first cover to cover on top of the access opening, while the second cover is driven to move upwardly for blocking a bottom side of the access opening. In the opened position, the first cover is slid to expose the access opening to ambient environment, while the second cover is driven to move downwardly to allow liquid to flow out of the container body.
Cap for a container with a hinged lid
A cap for a container with a hinged lid includes a first part and a second part that are snap-associated. The first part has a lower cylindrical portion and an upper cylindrical portion, and the second part includes a covering lid having an annular portion and a lid portion and a hinge arrangement therebetween, which includes a strip arranged in a window opening formed in the side surface of the lid portion and open towards the annular portion. The strip has weakened foldable end areas connected to the annular and lid portions, and a folding invitation line that divides the strip into two portions with a central recess therebetween. Folding invitation lines are also provided between the two portions of the strip and an end edge of the opening in the lid portion.
Product containers and closure assemblies for product containers
A closure assembly includes a top, a base, and a follower. The top includes a plurality of top teeth extending from the inner surface and arranged around a fluid orifice. The base is coupled to the top, wherein the top is moveable relative to the base. The base includes a central hub defining a cam path. The follower includes a plurality of top follower teeth engaged with the plurality of top teeth of the top and a plurality of base follower teeth disposed in the cam path of the base. The top and the follower are biased away from the base, and depressing the top relative to the base causes the follower to rotate relative to the top between an open position in which a fluid flow path is open to the fluid orifice and a closed position in which the fluid flow path is closed to the fluid orifice.
