A shipping assembly includes a folded core, made of corrugated carton or other foldable material, formed with a hollow center along the entirety or a portion of the core. A base at a bottom of the folded core is foldable along a folding line to attain a perpendicular position to the folded core. The base has two protrusions above the folding line. Upper and lower lateral members include two folded tabs which are inserted in upper and lower portions, respectively, of the column assembly to form a frame assembly. The frame assembly is affixed to an inner volume of a box.

PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR AN APPLIANCE

A packaging system includes first and second caps, each cap having a main panel, first and second side panel assemblies extending from and substantially perpendicular to the main panel, a plurality of stacking protuberances, and a plurality of stacking sockets. The cap is stackable with an identical cap by mating the protuberances of the cap with the sockets of the identical cap. The packaging system further includes an elongated post; an elongated brace; and a packaging block fixed to the main panel of the first cap. The side panel assemblies of the first cap are adjacent to one another and together with the packaging block define a post socket that receives an end portion of the post and inhibits lateral movement of the post. Moreover, the side panel assemblies of the second cap are opposed to one another and respectively support first and second ends of the brace.

The invention relates to a packaging container (1) having a top side (2), a bottom side (5) extending parallel to the top side, and at least one side wall (6) extending between the top side and the bottom side. The top side has at least one protrusion, and the opposite side extending parallel has at least one recess (4), into which a protrusion of an identically shaped packaging container can be inserted. The problem addressed by the invention is that of producing such a packaging container in an economical and environmentally friendly manner. This problem is solved in that holes (24) are punched in the top side (2) and in the bottom side (5) and in that the protrusions (3) and the recesses (4) are attached in inserts (22, 23), which are inserted into the packaging container (1).

Method of making a preassembled display with automatic stackable supports

A method of making a preassembled display with automatic stackable supports (PDASS) is described. A PDASS may include two or more blanks (for example pieces of corrugated paperboard) that are joined together, for example to initially form a knocked down flat (KDF). The PDASS may include an insert formed from a single blank, where the single insert blank, when the whole display is erected, automatically erects and provides asymmetric supports that form at opposing corners of the outer blank.

A blank for forming a container includes a base having a first pair of opposed base edges and a second pair of opposed base edges. Two sidewall structures are each foldably attached to one of the second base edges. Each of the sidewall structures includes a first wall panel foldably attached to one of the second base edges along a first fold line, a second wall panel foldably attached to the first wall panel configured to be overlapped with the first wall panel to form a side wall. A second minor end flap is foldably attached by a crushed channel to the second side wall panel, and extends in the lateral direction from the second side wall panel. The second minor end flap is configured to overlap a first minor end flap in forming a corner of a container formed from the blank.
