The invention relates to a food package comprising a plurality of food products A food package includes packaging box having a body and a cover. The body has a bottom wall and first and second mutually opposed side walls, therewith defining an inner space in the body for granular food products. The inner space of the body is exposed at a top side for provision and removal of food products. The cover has a cover wall which at least covers said exposed inner space of the body. The body is provided with at least one strip extending above said inner space. An improved display pack that can hold products during shipping and display products at the point of sale. The display pack is separable into a display section and a removable upper section. The removable upper section is removed to expose the product, allowing the packaged product to be displayed in the remaining display section. Packaging may include a base box comprising cardboard, e.g., cardboard corrugate. Disposed within the base box may be a tray for receiving a product, which also may comprise cardboard. By constructing a base box and tray that both fold flat without destructive means, this type of configuration retains a high-end reception of the end product and product packaging, while encouraging proper recycling once the customer decides to dispose of the packaging.

A display system for containing and displaying product includes a tray portion and a hood portion. The tray portion includes a bottom panel, and the hood portion includes a top panel and at least one glue flap panel disposed adjacent to the top panel. The display system is convertible from a shipping configuration in which the tray and hood portions cooperate to form an enclosed carton, into a display configuration in which the hood portion is separated completely from the tray portion. The display system is configured to be transitioned from the shipping configuration to the display configuration by breaking an adhesive connection between the at least one glue flap panel and the tray portion and lifting the hood portion away from the tray portion.

A method for producing packaging comprises providing the shell part that defines an opening, a cavity at least partially formed by a bottom wall and side walls, and a continuously circumferential lower contact surface at a constant height around the opening of the cavity and providing a collar including the circumferential edge flange. At least one bottom tool is structured to comprise aa lower contact surface and a cavity configured to receive the shell part. At least one top tool is structured to comprise an upper contact surface. The shell part is inserted into the cavity of the at least one bottom tool and the collar is placed on the lower contact surface. A barrier film is placed over the edge flange and pressed to form a tray that is filled with goods. A sealing film is then pressed against the barrier film to seal the goods within the tray.

Heat-sealable packaging comprising an inner container (1) formed from a first flat sheet (3) of cellulose material, an outer shell (2), linked to an upper end of the container (1) in the vicinity of its upper opening, formed from a second sheet (6) of cellulose material, flat and die-cut, comprising at least one outer perimeter surface (9) giving rise to a flat surface around the upper opening of the container (1) for closing the container by heat-sealing of a plastic sheet, and a plastic coating film covering at least the inner side of the container (1) and the outer perimeter surface (9) of the enclosure (2). The first sheet (3) and the second sheet (6) have different and independent perimeter dimensions and outlines.
