A corrugated cardboard blank for making a collapsible container including one or more panels joined to a bottom panel. The bottom panel is divided into first and second sectional panels on opposing sides of an interface comprising perforated portions extending from a first pair of diagonally opposing corners of the bottom panel. Each perforated portion includes an inner end, wherein the inner ends of the perforated portions are longitudinally spaced from each other. First and second fold lines extend diagonally at least partially between a second pair of diagonally opposing corners of the bottom panel and respective perforated portions. A frangible central portion of the interface extends between the inner ends of the perforated portions, wherein a plurality of unbroken flutes of the corrugated material extend laterally across the central portion of the interface.

A method of collapsing a box from an expanded configuration to a collapsed configuration is disclosed. The method of collapsing a box from an expanded configuration to a collapsed configuration, the box comprising a side panel and a bottom panel attached to the side panel, can comprise bending a center fold line of the side panel; unbending a length fold line defined between the side panel and the bottom panel; bending a first corner fold line that extends from a bottom panel corner of the bottom panel to an edge fold line of a center subpanel of the bottom panel; and bending a second corner fold line that extends from the bottom panel corner to a longitudinal center line that bisects a bottom panel edge of the bottom panel.

A box is made by folding a sheet of material. Preferably, the box is formed by applying adhesive and folding using a machine, and a waterproof or water-resistant coating is applied to the sheet of material so that the box is configured for use as a cooler. The box includes: a storage portion, including a bottom panel, first and second end panels, and first and second side panels; four corner panels; and first and second top panels. The top panels include openings that register when the box is assembled and in a closed configuration to define an opening to be used as a handhold for gripping the box. Reinforcing panels of one of the top panels includes flaps located on an interior of the box that cover the handhold opening. The box further preferably includes a locking tab and locking panel for latching closed the top panels of the box.

A box can include a first side panel; a second side panel positioned perpendicular to the first side panel; a top panel joined to the first side panel; and a handle assembly, the handle assembly including: a handle portion attached the top panel, the handle portion including a tab at a side end of the handle portion, and a locking panel attached to the second side panel, the locking panel defining a cut pattern, the cut pattern including a first side cut and a second side cut, a flap defined between the first side cut and the second side cut, the first side cut diverging into an inner cut extending along a bottom of the flap and an outer cut defining a space below the bottom of the flap, a portion of the second side cut extending along the bottom of the flap.

A foldable case and method of making same are disclosed. The foldable case is collapsible between a closed position and an open position without needing to re-fold the sheet of material. The foldable case is made of a sheet of material. The sheet of material has a central portion, opposing first and second portions, and opposing third and fourth portions. First and second portions adjoin a length of respective top and bottom edges of the central portion. Third and fourth portions adjoin a length of respective left and right edges of central portion. A number of folding lines are provided on the sheet of material. The foldable case can be made by folding along the folding lines and adhering first and second portions to the third and fourth portions so as to form a case in the folded configuration.

A box is made by folding a sheet of material. Preferably, the box is formed by applying adhesive and folding using a machine, and a waterproof or water-resistant coating is applied to the sheet of material so that the box is configured for use as a cooler. A cardboard blank for folding a box has a length and a width, wherein in the length direction five adjacent sections of panels are present, each panel of the first, third and fifth section having a length (H.sub.B) corresponding to the height of the box to be folded, and each panel of the second and forth section having a length (L.sub.B) corresponding to the length of the box to be folded, in the width direction (W) three adjacent rows of panels are present, each panel of the second row having a width (W.sub.B) corresponding to the width of the box to be folded, and each panel of the first and the third row having a width (H.sub.B) corresponding to the height of the box to be folded, between adjacent panels in the length direction (L) crease lines are provided, between panels of the second, the third and the forth section which are adjacent to each other in the width direction (W), crease lines are provided, adjacent panels of the first section are separated from each other by incisions, in the fifth section only a panel in the second row is present, between the panels of the second and the forth section in the first and the third row, a respective joint panel is provided, each of which being divided in triangular sections by crease lines between diagonally opposing corners of the each joint panel, the outer triangle being cut away.

A box can include a first side panel; a second side panel positioned perpendicular to the first side panel; a top panel joined to the first side panel; and a handle assembly, the handle assembly including a handle portion attached the top panel, the handle portion including a tab at a side end of the handle portion, and a locking panel attached to the second side panel, the locking panel defining a cut pattern, the cut pattern defining a space therewithin, the cut pattern defining a top edge and an inner flap, the top edge of the cut pattern being a fold line formed by folding the inner flap up above the top edge; and wherein the tab is received by the space.

A foldable case and method of making same are disclosed. The foldable case is collapsible between a closed position and an open position without needing to re-fold the sheet of material. The foldable case is made of a sheet of material. The sheet of material has a central portion, opposing first and second portions, and opposing third and fourth portions. First and second portions adjoin a length of respective top and bottom edges of the central portion. Third and fourth portions adjoin a length of respective left and right edges of central portion.
