A first support wall (8; 9) of each support element (2, 3) is arranged at said connection element (4) and has a shaped opening (16; 17) for each object (B) to be protected. Furthermore, said connection element (4) has two shaped flaps (18; 19) for each object (B) to be protected, each shaped flap (18; 19) being arranged at the respective support element (2; 3) and projecting on the respective upper wall (5, 6) of the respective support element (2; 3) and on a respective shaped opening (16; 17) of the respective first support wall (8; 9), each shaped flap (18; 19) being arranged so that when the respective object (B) to be protected is arranged on said protection element (1) resting on the respective shaped flaps (18; 19), the weight of said object (B) acts on the respective shaped flaps (18; 19) to insert in the respective shaped openings (16; 17) of said support walls (8; 9) and lock the object (B) in position. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a blank (10) for obtaining the protection element (1) according to the invention.
CARRIER
A carrier (2) made of cardboard, paperboard or other lightweight foldable sheet material, comprises a top sheet (4) defining one or more pockets (20) for receiving one or more products and a bottom sheet (6) attached to the top sheet (4). The top sheet (4) comprises one or more respective sets (30) of flaps (32) for forming the respective pockets (20), each flap (32) being hingedly connected at a proximal end (36) to a top surface (38) of the top sheet (4) about a respective flap hinge line (40) defined around an upper edge (42) of the respective pocket (20) and folded about the respective flap hinge line (40) to define a pocket side wall. The top sheet (4) further comprises respective tabs (50) hingedly connected to distal ends (46) of the respective flaps (32) about respective tab fold lines (52) and folded about a respective tab fold line (52) so as to lie along a base of the pocket (20). The bottom sheet (6) is bonded to the respective tabs (50) in a face to face relationship to close at least a portion the base of the pocket (20).
ENVIROTRAY INSERT FOR PROTECTING AN OBJECT WITHIN AN OUTER CONTAINER
An insert including a folded body including: a main panel having a top surface and an aperture to accommodate a container; first and second structural tubes at first and second opposing ends of the folded body; the first structural tube includes a first side folded away from the top surface, a second side folded from the first side and a third side folded from the second side towards a bottom surface; and the second structural tube comprises a fourth side folded away from the top surface, a fifth side folded from the fourth side and a sixth side folded from the fifth side towards the bottom surface. One of the third and sixth sides having a cradle provided within the aperture, the cradle being a cut-out; and a platform disposed in the aperture and offset from the top surface, the platform being a part of the folded body.
Packaging system for distribution, storing, and displaying fragile items
A packaging system for fragile items comprising an outer box, a tray insert and a plurality of inner boxes. The system components protect the items, for example, glass pipes, during distribution, and easily convert into a display system for the items at the point of retail sale. Each item is contained in its own inner box, which includes one or more viewing windows to allow a purchaser easily to view the items. The inner boxes fit removably within paired holes in the tray insert, which provides multiple points of contact to hold the boxes in place, yet allows flexibility to protect the items from impact forces and to allow easy access by a purchaser. The tray insert fits within the outer box, which provides impact and debris protection during transit, and converts to a display mode. Both the outer box and each inner box may be marked with a code to allow inventory tracking.
A packaging tray for holding a tube-type container having a tube body with a cap for sealing contents in the tube body on one end and a crimped tube portion on another end. The packaging tray including: a folded body formed of paper board, the folded body having a top surface having a first aperture configured to accommodate and retain the tube-type container therein. The folded body having a tube crimp support at a first end of the first aperture, the tube crimp support being configured to secure the crimped tube portion in the first aperture, the tube crimp support comprising first, second and third layers, the first layer having the top surface, the second layer being sandwiched between the first and third layers, and the second layer having a first end comprising a first stop for preventing the crimped tube portion disposed between the first and third layers from moving longitudinally in a first direction within the first aperture.
PRESSURE-BASED PACKAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A pressure-based packaging system has an upper frame and a lower frame bounded by a walled containment in which they are placed to hold articles therebetween, the upper frame having spaces for receiving the tops of articles and the lower frame having spaces for receiving bottoms of articles, where either one or both of the upper and lower frames is made from folding a single sheet of material into a box-like form.
Packaging unit
A packaging unit includes a carton having top and bottom surfaces and side walls extending between said top and bottom surfaces. The unit further includes molded pulp fiber bottom and top trays, with each tray defining a plurality of securement chambers. The unit further includes a self-adjustable, middle dunnage including a main body disposed between the molded fiber bottom and top trays. The main body includes a plurality of holes extending through the main body and a plurality of slots extending from a perimeter of each of the holes to define a plurality of self-adjustable tabs surrounding each of the holes. The middle dunnage further includes a first plurality of foldable flaps extending from the main body towards the bottom surface and a second plurality of foldable flaps extending the main body towards the top surface of the carton.
Package
A package includes a housing assembly and a drawer assembly. The housing assembly is provided with an open cavity, and the housing assembly has an unlocking member and a blocking surface. The drawer assembly is configured to carry an article and is engaged with the open cavity to receive the article in the open cavity. The drawer assembly includes an elastic member. When the elastic member abuts against the blocking surface, the blocking surface prevents the drawer assembly from sliding out of the open cavity. When a force is applied to the unlocking member to deform the elastic member, the elastic member is misaligned with the blocking surface so that the drawer assembly can slide out of the open cavity.
