Packaging system for distribution, storing, and displaying fragile items
A packaging system for fragile items comprising an outer box, a tray insert and a plurality of inner boxes. The system components protect the items, for example, glass pipes, during distribution, and easily convert into a display system for the items at the point of retail sale. Each item is contained in its own inner box, which includes one or more viewing windows to allow a purchaser easily to view the items. The inner boxes fit removably within paired holes in the tray insert, which provides multiple points of contact to hold the boxes in place, yet allows flexibility to protect the items from impact forces and to allow easy access by a purchaser. The tray insert fits within the outer box, which provides impact and debris protection during transit, and converts to a display mode. Both the outer box and each inner box may be marked with a code to allow inventory tracking.
Tamper evident hybrid resealable container
The present invention relates to a composite container comprising a bottom film layer and a top film layer at least partially adhered to the bottom film layer. The top film layer is scored to form at least one resealable flap and at least one pull tab which is not adhered to the bottom film layer. The bottom film layer comprises at least one cavity opening. A cardboard layer is adhered on its lower surface to the upper surface of the top film layer, wherein the cardboard layer has at least one cavity opening which is substantially aligned with the scoring of the top film layer resealable flap and the cardboard layer is perforated to define a perimeter of at least one pull tab which is substantially aligned with and adhered, on its underside, to the upper surface of the top film layer pull tab.
FLIP-TOP CONTAINER WITH IMPROVED RESISTANCE AGAINST BREAKAGE AT THE HINGE CONNECTION
The invention relates to a container (1) comprising a main part and a lid (8)which is rotationally moveable around a folding line (21) in a rear panel (5) of the container (1). Parallel and spaced apart transverse cuts (31) are provided at or near a central part of the folding line (21), the transverse cuts (31) extending substantially symmetrically across and perpendicular to the folding line. An end cut (32) may be arranged near but at a distance from each end of the folding line (21), the end cuts (32) going through the thickness of the rear panel (5), and the folding line (21) being perforated between the end cuts (32) and the end of the folding line (21) adjacent to the side panels (4). The end cuts (32) may be in the form of two linear and coherent sub-cuts arranged non-perpendicular to the folding line (21).
FLIP-TOP CONTAINER WITH TOOTH-SHAPED SIDE PERFORATIONS
The present invention relates to a container (1) comprising a bottom panel (2), a front panel (3), two side panels (4), a rear panel (5), and a top panel (6). The front panel (3) and the two side panels (4) each comprises a perforation line (7) so that a hingedly connected lid (8) is obtained when the perforation lines (7) are broken. The perforation line (7) in the front panel (3) is a row of perforations (23) arranged along a line or curve which forms an edge (24) of the lid (8) after the perforations (23) have been broken. Each of the perforation lines (7) in the side panels (4) is a row of perforations (23) each comprising two coherent first and second cuts (26,27) with a blunt angle (α) there between. These perforations (23) are arranged to provide a row of tooth-shaped regions (25), where each tooth-shaped region (25) is delimited by a first cut (26) and a second cut (27), respectively, from two mutually adjacent but non-coherent perforations (23). The first cuts (26) are arranged parallel to each other but staggered so that they are not arranged along one line.
Packaging
A package assembly (20) comprises products enclosed in a tubular packet (24) formed from a flexible wrapper (26). A line of weakness (40) encloses an opening region (42) in a side wall (28) of the packet. The opening region (42) is at least partially removed to create a dispensing opening by tearing the wrapper along the line of weakness (40). In one embodiment, the packet is opened by pressing one of the products through the opening region. In another embodiment, a sticker (150, FIG. 3) is adhered to the opening portion to provide a tab (152, FIG. 3) which can be pulled to open the packet. In a further embodiment, the packet is enclosed in a stiff outer cover (260, FIG. 5). The cover has a reclosable flap (262) bonded to the opening region so that on first opening of the flap, the packet is torn along the line of weakness.
RECLOSABLE CONTAINER
The present invention relates to a reclosable container comprising a bottom panel, a front panel, two side panels, a rear panel and a top panel. The front panel and the two side panels having a division line extending downwardly sloping from the rear panel in the side panels and horizontally in at least a part of the front panel thereby defining a lid. The lid comprises the top panel and the sections of the front panel and side panels above the division line, and the lid is moveable by rotation along a folding line in the rear panel between a closing position, where the lid closes the container, and a position where an open end of the container is not covered by the lid. The container further comprises an inner side part and an inner front part extending above the division line. Each inner side part has an upper margin sloping downwardly towards the rear panel The inner front part comprises a flap extending downwardly from an upper margin of the inner front part.
CARTON CONFIGURED WITH DUAL OPENING CAPABILITIES
A dual-opening carton has a front, rear, and opposing side panels. A flap extends over the top of the carton, allowing the top to be opened and re-closed. A score line extends around the carton to facilitate the removal of a top portion of the carton. The score line has segments extending along the front panel, the rear panel, and rear portions of the side panels that have a relatively low cut length to land length ratios that maintain relatively high structural integrity. The score line also has segments extending along the front of the side panels have a relatively high cut length to land length ratio to facilitate tear propagation. The score line extending along the side panels is angled so that a pull force vector removing the top portion of the carton runs along a plane generally parallel to the score line.
